Yea the numbers did look down on what it used to be . I was on course 2 years ago and that day there was people every where,It was a stinking hot day and i recalled reading that there was around 25,000 on track that day. Didn't look anything like that today from what i could see on TV.
What's up with Box 1 being vacant in every race tonight?. Is there some issue with the 1 box? or have they just decided to run small fields from now on?.
I did read that Akuta was only around 80% fit for today's race, and that looked to be the case late in the race, still thought he went ok,be interesting to see if he heads to Kaikoura next week,or the Cup Trial,i think he'll need to run in 1 of those to get fitness for the Cup. And DSD is trained by the Cullen's now,but yes he was disappointing.
Does anyone know if he's had any luck over in NSW?.From what i've seen he hasn't ridden a winner yet??. Think he's been mainly riding in the country lately, rather than in town. I wonder if he'll stick it out until the end of Winter? or come back early?.Definitely has the talent, just needs to catch a break i guess.
Good to see Andrew get a metro win earlier at Rosehill. Seems to be getting a few more rides, especially for Gary Portelli. Always been able to ride well.
Haven't come across that situation re asking if it's a fixed odds bet, then again there aren't that many race meetings where i live these days lol. Mind you when i am on course i still prefer to use a bet slip rather than verbally say my bet...annoys me as to why people don't use them, they aren't that hard.So i guess for me,with the fact i use a bet slip,i'd never get asked if my bet is fixed odds or not.
Ah yea true he has. Seems strange that he's been Craig for as long as i can remember, but is now Anthony. Each to their own,at least my curiosity is cured now.
Geez aren't you a sad piece of human excrement. You have no idea what your on about you flog. If you can't handle the game and the punt then take your $2 elsewhere....muppet.
I did notice that when i was watching on Friday,i thought that some of the lights went out,as there were some dark patches. So i checked the stewars report but nothing was mentioned about the lights.Obviously it was safe for the drivers, but yea it did look a little odd.Hopefully they'll settle down and it was a one off.
Gee those numbers don't sound good. I for one will be hoping the meeting goes ahead,as 1 of my syndicate horses is meant to be lining up.I guess time will tell.
I'm not sure whether Bruce was a late replacement for Aaron White, but i thought he did a pretty good job last night, and i can't remember hearing him calling the trots that much in the past. Was also a nice change to not hear the drivers nicknames thru out the race. Others may disagree, but thought he did pretty well.
Don't be bagging the Lobster lol. Our girl is very much a work in progress, but she was better the other day at the Mot after a minor gallop at the start.
