Have just seen a re run of the race, and wow that was one ballsy ride to get the win.Plenty of other riders probably wouldn't of gone where Jamie did,but i guess she showed why she's pretty bloody good and killing it in Melbourne. I punted the horse each way and managed to get a small % of the trifecta. Ended up by not watching it live due to needing to go on nappy duty lol,but was a good result to see on the TAB site.
Who was the commentator? i just assumed it would be Matt Cross. Only asking as i generally watch the races on the laptop but with the volume on mute,so that i don't annoy my better half.
Is Shane back in Canterbury?. Only asking as i noticed on Friday that he drove one for Robbie Holmes, and that is the same again on Monday. I know he's been based in the deep South for a number of years, but maybe he's come back?. Very capable driver who did have a bit of success when last based in Canterbury with Kevin Fairbairn's team.
I think BFB will lead up early, but i can see Sundees Sun coming around and more than likely getting the front, and from there i think he will be too good for BFB. Oscar will probably come around for a look as well tho if Johnny Dunn does get the front he'll park him. They are probably the main 3 for me,tho Muscle Mountain and for a roughie Vacation Hill should be in the mix as well.
Nah mine is pretty full. But i'm not the fuck head that's having a go at another website and a subject that means nothing to them. Just taking a shot because its a rival racing forum..small man syndrome.
I may be wrong but i don't think the Cup is on the radar?. All the talk from what i've read is for the connections to target the Arc and from what i did read if that's too happen she may not have that many more starts this campaign. I love the horse, been a fan from day 1 and it was so good to see her fight to the line and get another Group 1.A deadset honey with a massive will to win.
I agree re Nelson and Blenheim winter circuit. They were always well represented and im sure they will be again if they come back, but that is the big question..will it be back?.
Yip Dean definitely had some nice horses back in the day...Thrashem,Crushem and Rare Touch too name a few and yes he was blessed with some good drivers such as Mark Jones and Anthony Butt...and now Sarah O'Reilly who goes very well. Just like most trainers they go thru lulls,am sure he'll bounce back.
She is still a total honey. Gutsy win on Saturday, really stuck the neck out. As we know she is only going to get better the further she goes, bring it all on.
Yip it happened to me as well. I got someone else's and someone else got mine. Very poor form from the TAB. No compensation for them sending out our details to other people, just the old..we are looking into this.
Now this isn't meant to sound like me bagging Micky or whatever,as i'm a huge fan of his. But am wondering what is his reasoning etc for pretty much always switching the whip over to his left hand and almost going 'european' and giving his mounts a 'flick'?..can't describe it any better than that lol. Almost seems like he's forgotten how to use his whip in his dominant hand.Definitely a class rider just not sure why he's been doing this style for a while now.
Yip good to see Ants doing well. No doubt everyone knows i'm a fan,but i've only just recently-ish twigged that he and Sonya have moved back to Victoria,i knew he took a team there a few months ago, thought it was a campaign and was going to head back to Sydney at some point, but no. Pleased to see him kicking goals in Victoria,no surprises tho...class act in both roles.
Not Blair's first time apparently either. Think he copped a 5 meeting suspension? when it last happened so i guess the question is...how long this time?.
I did read on their website last night, that he was happy to stand aside and let Nathan Purdon take over,as he said he's all about helping the young ones out,but is ready to get back into it with Nathan going to Aussie. I guess people will take out of that what they will, but at the end of the day he is back.
