Seems odd that there is issues with the track,whereas compared to last week someone said that the track is good after it had been attacked by wild pigs.Who made the decision and decided to say that the track was all good?.I'm going to have a couple of horses run at Kumara,and as much as i love having my horses run around,i wouldn't want them to run on a track that isn't up to standard.

I wonder if he has re thought his goal for the season.Think i read a while back that his goal was 70...well after getting a winner today i think he's hit the 50 mark...to still sit atop the premiership.Is going very well and hopefully for him he keeps on going.

Just wondering if anyone has any info on this trainer.I hadn't noticed him/her up until this season,but whenever this trainers dogs win..they are doing so by big spaces.So can obviously train but as i said i've never heard of him/her.

When he was living over here he would always venture over to Eugowra too call at that meeting.I'm not sure if he has been doing much commentating since he left...have heard him in the Sky studio a few times.Think i heard before he left that he was coming back for either Cup day or Cup week....wonder if they'll chuck him the microphone for a race or two?.

Yip it's been a joy and pleasure to listen to Mark's calls over the past decade as he brings excitement to any old race.He's just called a dog race and he didn't miss a beat.He will be missed but thanks for the memories.

Yip you could well be right.As in the article that i read about him coming home he said that he'd be doing a bit of travelling and he will definitely get support from trainers,especially from the Pitmans when he goes down South.

With this season winding down and Lisa Allpress being crowned champ.What are people's thoughts as to who will win it next season?.We've had a few jocks come back to NZ over the last few months,namely Craig Grylls,Michael McNab and Sam Weatherley....can anyone see any of them taking the crown or will it be another one for Lisa?.Personally im a big Jason Waddell fan so if he stays fit and suspension-ish free then who knows..but i may still be dreaming.I think with some of the talent coming back...oh and i just remembered Danielle Johnson is back as well,that it could be an intriguing battle.

A few months ago the junior driver premiership was looking like it was going to be a good battle,but as can happen Sheree seemed to run into a dry spell where she went win less for quite a while,and John Morrison was racking them up which will give him the title this season,still Sheree has reined home 44 wins so still a good season.

Good to see one of my fave jumpers of the last few years do the job today.Was a different role for him today tho,showing plenty of zest to lead them up today and also fighting hard down the straight.I wonder what the plans are for him?..he's not a fan of the deep tracks so i guess Rudy Liefting will be trying to avoid those tracks and place him right.Hopefully there is a few wins still left in the old boy yet.

When i was living in Chch as a young fella and going to the races Reon was the caller i heard and was always a fan so i'd rate him on top for mine.Not far behind would be Mark Mc,who hopefully is staying after reading all the comments here.And then in no particular order i'd have Tony Lee,Matt Cross,Keith Haub,George Simon.Heard a little bit of Allan Bright before he retired and he didn't do a bad job and i never had the pleasure hearing Peter Kelly or David Clarkson but sounds like they were damn good. I noticed someone mentioned Greg Miles in Aussie...yea he and Matt Hill would have too be my faves over there.Also Darren McAullay(i think) who calls in Perth seems quite good.
