R4-7 Flamboyant.Was beaten into 3rd behind a couple of nice types last time out.Been going well and is a chance here. R5-8 Eraser.Looks a handy sort and hasn;t been bad in her runs to date.Can win this with luck. R6-4 Formidable Foe.Nicely bred first starter who has had a couple of trials for this.Stable normally has them ready first up. R9-5 Sweet Mary.Nice enough run for 3rd last tme out behind a nice type.Can go well in this. R5-6 War Dan Delight.Didn't get much room when fresh up a few weeks back.Slightly awkward draw for this,but should be in 3 with luck. R6-10 Sundees Son.Bolted in when fresh up last week.Smart sort who can go back to back here. R7-8 Buzinga.Was impressive when winning fresh up a few weeks back.Talented filly that can go close here. R8-9 Dream About Me.Has been setting the pace in most of her runs this season and been going well.Is good enough to get over the top of these late. R9-7 Queen Bee Bardon.Has good gate speed so wouldn't surprise too see her zip across from out wide.Can be thereabouts. R10-3 Hey Yo.Wasn't too bad in behind the good trotters last time out.Could lob a handy spot and be a nice chance at odds. R2-10 Magicol Ideal.Hit the line well last time out once clear.Strikes a tricky draw for this,but field isn't strong.Could play a part here with luck. R3-13 Majestic Hurricane.Nice sort who finally got a win last time out.The horse he did beat did win yesterday.If he handles the tricky track then he looks tough to beat. R4-1 Portalegre.Finally gets a decent draw to work with.Has gone well in his 2 starts to date.Looks a big chance from the pole. R5-8 Ashley Locaz.Has been good in his 2 runs back this time in.Strikes a field that he should deal too. R6-5 Didjabringthebeers,Tough effort to win last time out.Has been around here in the past and looks a solid chance here. R7-7 Ronald J.Much better run when 3rd last time out.Was placed in this race last year.Is locally owned so can give the locals something to cheer about here. R8-6 Eamon Maguire.Good win in the Flying Stakes last week.Does have good manners so should land on the speed.Looks one of the hardest to beat. Holy shit its you again.Surely you said your bit last time out?..so no idea why you have to start up again.I do not know Mark Gill,but as for his horse that was in today i have backed it on more than one occasion and if it hasn't won for me,it's got in the money quite a few times so he is not the worst horse out there and im sure Mark isn't the worst trainer out there either,not everyone can have royally bred horses,he does the best with what he's got.And considering Mark lives up here in Blenheim there is not that many trials/workouts run in this neck of the woods,so the best way his horses are going to get fit is by appearing on race day.Surely you've said your bit and you can let it lie.

Meeting 21-Kaikoura R1-6 Pat Campbell.Always goes well in these types of races.Was a solid 4th last time out.Looks a nice chance here. R2-1 Kings Landing.Just beaten by a nice type last week.If he handles the pole draw and this track,then he's the one to beat. R3-4 Princess Fulham.Won nicely 2 back then battled on for 6th behind a handy sort last week.Could slide to the front here and she could be hard to catch around the South Bay. R4-10 Barrett.First starter that has been winning at the trials.Stable normally has them ready first up.Chance if he cops the track on debut. R5-11 Highland Reign.Good win 2 back then wasn't bad when up in grade last time out.Could run over the top of them late here. R6-6 Zsa Zoe.Best horse in this field who probably should of won a race before now.If she handles the track then she's the one to beat here.

I don't know why...but for some reason i'm nervous about Winx....i really want her too win it,but i have no idea why i have this nervous feeling inside me.Even tho my old mate Humidor is in the race too,and he did get close to her last year,i probably won't bet in the race...almost feel like a nervous owner of her's..i wish.And ive had a few wins from Savvy and im sure she will run a race and CWJ definitely won't be out of place in Melbourne.

Will be interesting to see if they do get back before Cup week...i bet they are chomping at the bit,with it getting closer.Anyone know whether Dex will be back for Cup week?.

I wonder if the same fate will happen to Ellerslie,when they resume their on Saturday.

R4-6 Patanjali.Is coming in fresh but has had a few trials for this.Can get off the gate and can be thereabouts. R5-5 Kingslayer.Was ok last week after galloping away.Front line draw will suit as will being behind the mobile.Can win this. R6-7 Airpark Flyer.Was good when running out of his grade and running 5th in the Methven Cup last week.Can grab another win here. R7-8 Star Galleria.Was good when 3rd on the grass last week.Can win this. R8-9 Ruthless Kayla.Run down late last time out after sitting parked.Honest sort who will be there again. R9-7 Marcoola.Was massive when 2nd after galloping away last time out.Mobile suits and if he zips across to the lead he may prove hard to beat. R10-7 Spankem.Good finish fresh up for 3rd a few weeks back.Having his first stand start but has had a couple of stand start trials.Will be in the mix. R11-10 Ready To Bloom.Won well last week on the grass.Does strike a tough gate but does have ability.Can play a part with luck.

R4-1 Christian Lady.Finished ok for 3rd once clear last time out.Strikes a draw where she can dictate.Can go close to winning here. R5-10 Soney Beatt.Is fresh up but has gone some nice races in that state before.Loves the grass and has won twice here.Can pop up at nice odds. R6-14 The Kaik.Just grabbed late in the piece last time out.Has won on the grass before and looks a solid chance here. I did read that the trainer did say that Tiger Tara was coming over.Could be running in either the Flying Stakes or the Kaikoura Cup,or maybe both before tackling the big one.

I don't think i can recall him moving on both of his horses today.No doubt John has driven a lot of winners and some nice horses in his time.But maybe it's time to put an outside driver on?.
