Holy shit its you again.Surely you said your bit last time out?..so no idea why you have to start up again.I do not know Mark Gill,but as for his horse that was in today i have backed it on more than one occasion and if it hasn't won for me,it's got in the money quite a few times so he is not the worst horse out there and im sure Mark isn't the worst trainer out there either,not everyone can have royally bred horses,he does the best with what he's got.And considering Mark lives up here in Blenheim there is not that many trials/workouts run in this neck of the woods,so the best way his horses are going to get fit is by appearing on race day.Surely you've said your bit and you can let it lie.

Meeting 21-Kaikoura R1-6 Pat Campbell.Always goes well in these types of races.Was a solid 4th last time out.Looks a nice chance here. R2-1 Kings Landing.Just beaten by a nice type last week.If he handles the pole draw and this track,then he's the one to beat. R3-4 Princess Fulham.Won nicely 2 back then battled on for 6th behind a handy sort last week.Could slide to the front here and she could be hard to catch around the South Bay. R4-10 Barrett.First starter that has been winning at the trials.Stable normally has them ready first up.Chance if he cops the track on debut. R5-11 Highland Reign.Good win 2 back then wasn't bad when up in grade last time out.Could run over the top of them late here. R6-6 Zsa Zoe.Best horse in this field who probably should of won a race before now.If she handles the track then she's the one to beat here.

I don't know why...but for some reason i'm nervous about Winx....i really want her too win it,but i have no idea why i have this nervous feeling inside me.Even tho my old mate Humidor is in the race too,and he did get close to her last year,i probably won't bet in the race...almost feel like a nervous owner of her's..i wish.And ive had a few wins from Savvy and im sure she will run a race and CWJ definitely won't be out of place in Melbourne.

Will be interesting to see if they do get back before Cup week...i bet they are chomping at the bit,with it getting closer.Anyone know whether Dex will be back for Cup week?.

I wonder if the same fate will happen to Ellerslie,when they resume their on Saturday.

Meeting 20-Ashburton R1-14 Lone Star Lad.Solid effort for 3rd last time out.Nice enough sort who can figure here. R2-16 Portalegre.Got gunned down for 3rd when leading on debut last week.Should be improved with that run and can be in the mix here. R3-9 Gil Favor.Was tough when winning his maiden last week.Looks a handy type and no reason why he can't win this. R4-6 Patanjali.Is coming in fresh but has had a few trials for this.Can get off the gate and can be thereabouts. R5-5 Kingslayer.Was ok last week after galloping away.Front line draw will suit as will being behind the mobile.Can win this. R6-7 Airpark Flyer.Was good when running out of his grade and running 5th in the Methven Cup last week.Can grab another win here. R7-8 Star Galleria.Was good when 3rd on the grass last week.Can win this. R8-9 Ruthless Kayla.Run down late last time out after sitting parked.Honest sort who will be there again. R9-7 Marcoola.Was massive when 2nd after galloping away last time out.Mobile suits and if he zips across to the lead he may prove hard to beat. R10-7 Spankem.Good finish fresh up for 3rd a few weeks back.Having his first stand start but has had a couple of stand start trials.Will be in the mix. R11-10 Ready To Bloom.Won well last week on the grass.Does strike a tough gate but does have ability.Can play a part with luck.

R2-12 Doctor Tim.Just grabbed late last week.Strikes an even lot here and a similar performance will see him right there again. R3-4 Slick Joe.Wasn't bad before being put out for a spell.Has since gone well at the trials.Can get some of this. R4-9 Kings Landing.Coming in fresh after having a few workouts.From the All Stars barn so will be ready.Strong chance here. R5-1 Stun Gun.Got home nicely for 2nd behind a handy sort last time out.Drawn nice here and can play a part. R6-6 Cullenburn.Hasn't been seen since August but has had some trials to get ready for this.Should be in the top 2 here. R7-5 War Dan Delight.Nicely bred type who is back as a 3yr old.Has had a trial for this.Will be thereabouts. R8-6 Zsa Zoe.Got home well for 5th last week,but was never really put in the race.If driven different here then shes a big chance. R9-9 Hilarious Prince.Has gone ok at times in his brief career.,If everything goes his way then he's not the worst. R10-15 Held To Ransom.Has gone well in her 2 runs so far.Can be right there again.

Meeting 18-Methven. R1-12 Gil Favor.Nicely bred 3yr old who wasn't bad when 4th a few weeks back.Will be a big winning chance with natural improvement. R2-8 Portalegre.First starter from the All Stars barn.Won his latest trial earlier this month.Should be hard to beat here. R3-13 Days Of Redemption.Has not been far away in his last 2 runs on the grass.2nd line draw here but his manners are good.Solid chance here. R4-1 Christian Lady.Finished ok for 3rd once clear last time out.Strikes a draw where she can dictate.Can go close to winning here. R5-10 Soney Beatt.Is fresh up but has gone some nice races in that state before.Loves the grass and has won twice here.Can pop up at nice odds. R6-14 The Kaik.Just grabbed late in the piece last time out.Has won on the grass before and looks a solid chance here. R7-17 Awaytocullect.Hasn't been that bad in his last 2 runs.Strikes a 2nd line draw here.Can lob up at nice money. R8-12 Star Galleria.Been going well up north.Missed last weeks run.Is apparently going well in track work.First grass track run shouldn't bother him.Nice chance here. R9-13 Kingslayer.Been going well this season.Having his first grass track run but shouldn't be a worry.Looks a good chance in an even field. R10-5 Missie Castleton.Just got denied again last week when running yet another 2nd.Will put herself in the race and maybe today can be the day. R11-7 Stompem.Done the donkey work in front last time out and was beaten by a handy sort.Could push forward again and give them something to chase.

R4-16 Held To Ransom.Got home really well from the back to grab 3rd.Meets a smiliar field and he can go real close too winning this. R5-4 Idle Moose.Solid win last week.Goes up in grade for this,but he is honest.Be thereabouts again. R6-8 Hayden's Meddle.Been so consistent lately and he was game when 2nd behind a handy type last week.Big chance here. R7-9 Monty Python.Just missed last time out.Consistent type who has been racing good fields.Not without a hope here. R8-7 Nimah Franco.Faces a step up after a powerful last week.Handy mare who can feature here. R9-14 Pro Surfer.Nice win on debut then got it all wrong in the score up last time out.If he behaves then he should be winning this.

I did read that the trainer did say that Tiger Tara was coming over.Could be running in either the Flying Stakes or the Kaikoura Cup,or maybe both before tackling the big one.

I don't think i can recall him moving on both of his horses today.No doubt John has driven a lot of winners and some nice horses in his time.But maybe it's time to put an outside driver on?.

Meeting 16 -Timaru R1-10 Franco Sherborne.Got home well from the back last week for 4th.This field is not strong and he looks one of the main chances. R2-9 Tres Magnifique.Had a couple of runs in the summer then was put out.Has had a couple of trials for this.Stable normally has them ready first up.Can feature in this. R3-16 Ragnarr.Got home really well from the back for 3rd last time out.A repeat performance will take him close. R4-9 Stellar Success.Solid efforts in her last 2.Is a past winner here and normally does everything right.Solid chance here. R5-2 Princess Fulham.Went ok for 5th in her first run back.Drawn handy so could lead up.Field not strong at all,so looks a handy chance. R6-4 Bettor Trenz.Finished on ok behind a couple of nice sorts last time out.Front row draw and looks a nice chance here. R7-3 The Cruise Missile.Sent out fave on debut last week,but galloped away and was left with too much to do.Back to the grit here and with that experience under his belt,could be worth another crack at. R8-1 Missie Castleton.Going solid races for a while now.Goes well on her home track.Big chance of being in the mix here. R9-5 Nimah Franco.Went ok last prep.Has had a few trials for this.Can go cheeky fresh. R10-1 Awaytocullect.Hit the line well for 4th last week once clear.Normally goes better on grass,but from the draw he's a chance.

With Blair back driving at the trials it's probably a sign that he may not be far away from race day driving.So he'd still be the fave to win it.The Turtle is driving well and I agree in regards to Sam...has the talent too win it if she wants it.

Meeting 15-Addington R1-13 Gypsy's Choice.Got home well from the back a few weeks ago.With luck in the running can play a part here. R2-8 Rum In The Sun.Went into a gallop last time out when in a good spot.Can be abit in and out from the stand,but can run a race if he behaves. R3-9 Spankem.Nice type who's resuming after a nice spell.Has had 2 goes at the trials.Can win this fresh up. R4-2 Gran Chico.Nice type who was a bit green when winning last time out.Drawn nicely here so should be handy thru out.Good winning chance here. R5-14 Marcoola.Got too see him back winning when fresh last month.Stand start doesn't seem to worry him.Classy sort who can win again. R6-4 Turn It Up.Talented sort who is back after a spell.Has had one stand start for a win.Should be ready to go and can win this. R7-6 A G's White Socks.Has gone 2 good races since resuming.Does meet a couple of handy sorts here,but he does have race fitness on his side.Can play a big part here. R8-8 Nandolo.Has gone well in his last 2 runs.Drawn out a bit here but with luck he can feature. R9-12 Muscles Galore.Went well when 2nd fresh up,then went better when winning a few weeks back.If he stays down and trots then he's a big chance. R10-12 Pro Surfer.Was good when winning his debut.Looks a nice type and he can go back to back here.

R5-12 I'lldoitmyway.Been on fire in her last 2 with 2 solid wins.Up in grade for this but on her current form no reason why she can't win again. R6-8 Flyingmasterwilliams.Done all the work in front only to be run down by a handy sort.Steps well so could lead again.Looks a nice chance to run in 3. R7-3 Destiny Jones.Got going late last time out to grab 3rd.Consistent mare who has won on the grass.Can go close here. R8-2 Christian Lady.Run down in her last 3 runs after leading up.Drawn to lead again here and has won on the grass. R9-10 Awaytocollect.Nice run last time out.Goes well on grass and has won 2 from 4 here.May get a nice run on the markers and can get home late.
