R1-1 Good On Ya Kiwi.Has done nothing wrong in his 3 starts so far.Drawn nicely and should find the lead and can be hard to beat in what is a nice field. R2-7 Unique Rose.Gone well in her last 2 runs.Drawn out again but does look a solid chance. R3-1 Woman In Gold.Top run for 2nd when on debut up north.Gets a better draw compared to her rivals,can feature. R4-4 Doctor Tim.Blotted the form line with an 8th last week,but wasn't far away.This field suits and does look hard to beat. R5-2 Prosecution Witness.First up 4th wasn't bad,then had a rough run last time out.Can be thereabouts from here. R6-7 Muscle Mountain.Won his non tote nicely when leading all the way.Can test the fave with complete manners. R7-3 Memphis Tennessee.Is fresh up here after last racing in the Sires Stakes final.Is a nice type who will go further than some here. R8-9 Majestic Hurricane.Wrecked the form line when blowing apart from the stand last week.Is back to a mobile here which will suit.Can be tough to toss here. R9-2 Tiebreaker.Been doing good things at the trials in readiness for this.Nicely bred and is having his first stand start but will be ready.He can ace them here. R10-13 Donegal Art Chokin.Was good when 4th last week fresh up.With a drag in to it she looks tough to beat.

Whats with the crap layout on the TAB site for the Otago meeting.Its their big day of the year and all they have is horse names and then the tote prices,not their usual layout of trainer jockey etc.Amazing what $50mill get's ya.

Don't think anyone can bag Clint for his drive on him,he moved at the right time,but it looks like all the travelling they did took its toll.He's way better than that and im sure next time we will see the real Marcoola again.

I'm a big fan of Clasina Maria,especially when she is on the grass.She won well on Friday and apart from the two Nigel McGrath runners it's pretty much the same field,and she hasn't been re handicapped for her win on Friday.A couple of words of warning,she didn't back up last year after running a solid race,so that is in the back of my mind for today.And also its quite windy here at the moment,so am guessing that the horses that sit without cover may be not there at the finish as it's blowing that much here that the washing on the line would be bone dry in 2 minutes.

Interesting it wasn't late scratched after throwing it's self onto the track.Armstrong did it earlier in the day and was late scratched.Gee those crossings seem to be causing a few too break.I've got a horse running in the 2nd last race and am hoping that she negotiates both crossings well.

I've had a look thru it and it looks ok to me and i've managed to place a bet and it wasn't too hard.I guess the only thing i noticed was that when you click on the horse to see the info,the owners aren't listed..which i thought was odd,but no biggie i guess.Also it loads pretty fast on my laptop as well.

Good stuff Rees...it's times like this that i still wish i was in the Griffins Syndicate,as they are going to have a lot of fun with 'George'.Top drive by Brad who didn't panic when Matty put a few lengths on him on the turn,as soon as he got out he was always going to grab the leader.He's definitely heading to the top and hes in the right stable,as they will look after him,exciting times ahead.

Probably have to move in the right circles to get the call i'd say.The last year or so i've gone into the punters club here and i've probably got my money back only a couple of times,from memory.At times i often shake my head as too how the selector spends the money and think i could do better.But no doubt in a few weeks i'll grab a ticket and hope for the best.

Gee thats a good effort.The punters club i go into at Blenheim are always shit returns,Just saw that last race at Tauherenikau and the punters club there had $1800 on the winner..damn thats good going.

After yesterday's big return due to Andre Neill's multi.Does anyone know what the club ended up with and what the payout was?..

So how's everyone faring in this?.I know for me a couple of my jocks are up there..Have Opie who is leading but he isn't riding today,also have Jason Waddell and Lisa Allpress who are both on 4 wins I think and are both in action today.I didn't even look at Chris Johnson but with him on 6 wins he could be my killer.As for the apprentices I've got Kavish who is leading. Definitely enjoy this betting options over the holiday period.

Yip was about to say something myself.There was no way that Rachmaninov got a fair start.The assistant put his hand on the bridle and then he let the field go.I was waiting for the whistle to blow to indicate a false start,but nope.Yes he was acting like a clown,but as soon as the assistant touched him he wasn't going to get a fair start.Feel sorry for those that backed him.

Yip he's a big talent that's for sure,has had a good grounding.In regards to the best young trainer to come out of Canterbury i'd also put Regan Todd in that list as well.You could do worse than back all of their horses.

Good to see these two combining succesfully again.No doubt everyone knows what happened a few years ago,but good to see that it's been left in the past.No doubt with Danielle out injured this combo is in for a lot more success.

I don't normally get involved in this sort of stuff,but after what happened tonight it's pretty tough not to get involved.Unreal decision to not relegate the winner when it clearly had an advantage by being able to slot back into the trailing spot it had before it went walk about.And then of course there is the matter of it forcing horses wider onto the track so that it could get back into said position.And why not have a rule that says if a horse goes down inside the markers then that horse should be taken out of the race?.I only say that because if we still had the firm running rails in place then he would of gone over the top of it and would of been out of the race...i guess there are many scenarios as to why that probably isn't in the rules..but the rules they have now basically don't mean anything so lets make some up.

Just wondering if anyone knows where i'd be able to watch a replay of this show.As there was a 2 part show done on Anthony Butt,and i'd love to see both parts.

Just wondering if anyone knows what's happened to Jason?.Have noticed that he hasn't ridden since Cup Week finished,and i can't see anything on the NZ racing website as to say if he's injured.Am hoping that it's not weight related as he seemed to be going well with that.

If i was too have a punt in the race.I'd go for my old mate Sol Invictus..i was in a syndicate that owned him a few years ago when Mickey House had him and at that stage he looked too be heading to the top grade,but things happen and now he is in a monte trot...which apparently he goes quite well at.

R2-6 Monaro Maro.Good run 2 back then got home late after being well back last week.Can threaten if closer. R3-1 Mynanasgotnoteeth.Wasn't far away from the same draw last week.Can grab that maiden win here. R4-10 Jour Highness.Is a winner on the wet grass track.Has had a brief spell.Field not strong so can be there. R5-1 Demeter.Broke from the gate last week and was never in it.Stable goes well on the grass and if she behaves then she's a chance. R6-5 My Eyre.Unusually broke up last time out.Manners are normally good and has won on grass before.Can play a part here. R7-12 Doctor Tim.Went 2 good races over cup week.Never been on grass before but should be ok.Is due a winning turn here. R8-4 Nancy's Boy.Was solid 2 back then did a stack of work last time out and weakened.Better draw here so should be in the mix. R9-12 Senorita Margarita.Got home well last time out.Stable is going ok and she can swoop late. R10-9 One Night Out.Good win 2 back then wasn't bad when 6th behind a nice sort on Cup day.Hasn't done much on grass but isn't the worst in this. R11-8 Artstanding.Lazarus's little brother who was a good 4th 2 back then was well back when running in the Sires Stakes final on cup day.Nice sort who can win this. R12-12 Pembrook Blue.Been just ok in his last couple.Has won here before and could get the last crack at them.

Meeting 26-Addington(Cup Day) R1-17 Over The Love.Was impressive when winning last time out behind the mobile.Goes back to the stand today.If he handles that and the occassion then he's a big chance here. R2-13 Slingshot.Did work last time out and stuck on for 3rd.Did win at the trials last week.Big chance despite the draw. R3-12 Sundees Son.Another dominant win last time out.Does look to be the hardest to beat in this. R4-8 Pats Delight.Tough effort to sit parked in the Kaikoura Cup and not be far away.Drawn the widest out here and meets some nice types,but he has the game to win this. R5-2 Kensington Kate.Nice enough effort for 4th when fresh up last week.Gets a nice draw here and can play a part. R6-4 Speeding Spur.Far too good for them last time out at Kaikoura.Had a nice hit out at the trials last week.Looks the one here. R7-12 Ultimate Sniper.Got monstered mid race and was still far too good.2nd line draw here but will be around them at some stage.Is all class and will be hard to toss. R8-12 Cullenburn.Found the line well for 3rd last time out in a strong race.Gets a rough draw here but has the ability to overcome it and be a big threat. R9-2 Donegal Art Chokin.Strong win 2 back then was better when placing at Kaikoura last time out.Nice draw here and should be in the mix. R10-5 Dream About Me.Her prep compared too others in here has been faultless.Got home well from the back last week.Looks a good solid chance here. R11-6 Honey's Son.Nice type who has had his problems.Was solid in his trial last week.If he behaves then he can get some of this. R12-4 Bettor Be Gold.Handy enough effort for 3rd at Kaikoura few weeks back.Won at the trials last week.Front line draw and should be hard to beat.

Meeting 25-Rangiora. R1-12 Royal Jester.Got home well late to place last time out.Tougher draw here but can feature. R2-10 Angustia.Been going ok lately.Does have a significant driver change for this.Can be in the mix. R3-6 Every Option.Run down again late last week after setting the pace.Surely today is the day. R4-5 Motu Great Sensation.Was game in defeat last week after sitting parked.Field not strong and does look the one to beat. R5-11 Mynanasgotnoteeth.Flew home late for 2nd last time out.Is a chance with similar tactics here. R6-1 Barrett.Got back on debut at Kaikoura and was never a chance.Strikes a nice draw here and can turn his form around in this. R7-10 Soney Beatt.Tore away like a nutcase in front last time out and was grabbbed for 4th.Is handy on his day and he can feature here. R8-1 Glenthorne.Massive run when on debut last week to grab 2nd.Nice draw here and can be in the mix. R9-5 Christian Lady.Got gunned down again last week.Can be thereabouts again. R10-4 Stompem.Sat parked for the majority last week and got 2nd.Can be in the finish here. R11-6 Overarm.Went the mid race charge last week and was grabbed for 3rd.Handy type who can bowl them over here.
