  1. Thanks Whiplash I'll try signing up for promotions and see what happens. Cheers mate
  2. You make some very good points mate. Increased turnover is probably from online betting Brodie. I do most betting through the TAB website and also watch the races there too. Occasionally, I go to the TAB for a bet, but the nearest one is the Sandridge quite a way from my home. That's why I prefer betting online. You are right about the Pub tab machines you don't see many using them. I go to the Rock, Rolleston regularly and seldom see anyone betting although the races are showing. While at the pub, perhaps people prefer to bet online through their phones? That's certainly more convenient. The biggest TAB turnoff I have at the moment is bonus bets. How do you get them? My mate gets them regularly but I have never had one. He told me to withdraw all my winnings because that's what he does. I did that and still no bonus bet. I am disillusioned about it. I have been on a winning streak since the NZ Cup meeting so that could be the reason. Seems bonus bets are also restricted for winning punters?
  3. What about a 200m standing start sprint on the home straight? Six starters with a straight dash to the line. Let's run two, one for pacers, one for trotters, on NZ Cup Day at Addington, I'm sure the drunks on course would appreciate such races.
  4. Sundee's Son bolted in. Good runs from Bolt For Brilliance and Oscar Bonavena, the rest outclassed.
  5. It's a shame about the rain. The track condition is slushy and passing lane would be very wet, no one has used it in the first three races. Monkey Selfie, a nice-looking horse, bolted in just now, leading all the way. In front is the place to be.
  6. I'm not sure if he will win but him and Amazing Dream are far better than the rest of the field. I think Amazing Dream would be the tougher horse so making the race into a stayer's test would be her best hope of winning? Personally, I'm more interested in R2 and if Queen of Strathfield (15 starts, 9 placings) can finally win a race. Good luck punting everybody.
  7. Didn't they have one of those at a recent Methven meeting?
  8. The 1390m is an unusual distance that I doubt has been raced over before? That means the winner of the race will be a world record holder. If, Motor Mouth wins Race 4 the first "super sprint" then he has the fastest time ever... World Champion!!! But wait... Race 8, is the second "super sprint". Can any of the outstanding field of 6yo-and-older pacers break Motor Mouth's world record time? Perhaps, Mister Mighty with the plum ace draw could write himself into the record books? Any predictions what the new world record time will be?? 🙃
  9. Poor fields in my opinion.😃
  10. They are taking the piss mate. One of the 1390m races is the ANZAC BATTALION 'YOUNG AT HEART SUPER SPRINT' MOBILE PACE, that is restricted to young at heart 6-year-old and older pacers! What a thrilling race this will be... 🙄
  11. Oscar will be improved but will probably need more runs yet to be at his best. He hadn't raced for 12 months before resuming two starts ago. Sundee's Son would be my pick but I'm no expert when it comes to Alexandra Park. 😄
  12. Reached its mark? 😄
  13. I doubt Grant Robertson thinks that...🙃
  14. This government has held numerous reviews but few have come to anything. All talk, no action.
  15. Do you think it is a good buy at that price HP? The horse looked good in Southland but was outclassed at Addington. Admittedly, he drew badly but he still didn't live up to the claims of his trainer. Is he head to Australia or U.S.?
  16. Spot on mate. Don Bates does not deserve this, he tried to help Kerr and was ripped off. Disgraceful that some in the industry tried to gag Bates and tried to laugh off Mr Kerrs' many crimes. Good riddance.
  17. What a shocking read. Mr Kerr does not belong in the trotting industry. Lifetime ban deserved and warranted. Good riddance!
  18. Why don't you write to the queen of kindness St Jacinda, our beloved PM, about your predicament mate?
  19. It was Dunn's lowly-paid stablehands fault don't you know? 🤣🤣
  20. I am straight up mate. I don't lie.
  21. It should suit some of the slow horses that are on display at these second-rate meetings. Many runners drop out 800-1000m from home. Perhaps 1390m will suit those slow, weak horses mate?
  22. Mate, you will be excited to learn that at Saturday's Rangiora meeting there are three sprints. Two races over 1390m (I kid you not) and a fillies and mares mobile mile. Enjoy...
  23. Perhaps the Premier stables had put them all HP?
  24. I think Purdon is more honest than Ardern mate. She has broken promises and lies galore... so not a fair comparison.
