  1. Yes, an excellent story about Dr Luk Chin. He has been around for decades and usually has a decent horse. What a hard worker he is. Dr Chin is typical of many Chinese in that they don't mind hard work. Chinese, and other Asians, have a wonderful work ethic and understand that to get ahead you have to work for it and put the hours in. Pity, some members of other races didn't follow the same example instead of blaming others for their misfortunes. Roll on the Jewels....
  2. I am excited about what horse is being set to win the last ever race at Forbury when it closes in July? Whoever wins it will be famous for ever more, the last horse to win at Forbury. Perhaps the Spitfire?😆
  3. I had a look mate and it appears at first glance that New Zealand racing/harness are not available on the site. I could only see UK and Australian races.
  4. McGrath is a serial offender. He deserved every day of his seven year suspension. I think he got off lightly.
  5. McGrath has had multiple suspensions for administering illicit substances to his horses. His sentence rightly reflects that.
  6. Thanks. I think it was a wise move by young Nathan Purdon to move to Victoria. He should get a steady stream of horses from NZ to train. Sadly, horses like Spellbound and Luke John are not competitive here due to our hopeless rating system but both will win plenty in Victoria. Good luck to any owner who sends their horse to N. Purdon.
  7. Who trains Luke John in Australia? He is a good horse and should win if he has settled in OK?
  8. The Addington meeting today is for the lower slower class of horse Gamma. The fields are poor but I am sure trainers appreciate these meetings. Addington is the best track in Australasia and is under used. I prefer more meetings at Addington where every horse has a chance than at the likes of Motukarara, which is a rough second-rate track. Just my opinion of course. I am unsure if I will have a bet, it is unlikely unless I find a smoky.
  9. I disagree about Lamb because he made many stuff ups, including two NZ Trotting Cups, so he had to go. The present starter, forgotten his name?, was good when he took over from Lamb. Lately, some starts have been a bit of a shambles. I think his standards have slipped. Hopefully, this incident will be a wake up call for him to lift his game. If he doesn't, he too should be sacked because two false starts on a Premier night is unacceptable.
  10. The reality is that Natalie Rasmussen is fantastic driver and she is worth a couple of lengths as horses generally keep going for her. Imagine how the Spitfire would go with Miss Rasmussen in the sulky mate!
  11. Laver is a top horse and tough. He ran home well tonight from near last at the 600m. He won in 1:51 at Nelson earlier in season. Another win is close.
  12. Who cares? There's a wedding to plan....🤣🤣
  13. The fields were similar size last Friday and there were some good dividends. For example Luk Chin's mare paid $15s and Warloch paid $7.30. Warloch could win again this week and pay similar if not more. I agree, the Trotting Oaks has a disappointing field of five horses. Time Up The Hill should win but Mexicana is good if she trots all the way. There's money to be made at most meetings if you look hard enough...
  14. Australia does not have a caring, kind government like NZ where well-being is paramount. The media here also endorse the government's every move with criticism absent. The government can do whatever she likes as she has majority support from the team of five million. Let's be kind to greyhounds!
  15. I think for animal welfare reasons. Rodeos have had there day because of animal cruelty concerns. Greyhounds are being targeted now and calls for dog racing to be banned are growing. When it is, horse racing will be the next target.
  16. The woman basher got off lightly in the courts, in my humble opinion, but seven years disqualification from harness racing probably about right. You never know harness racing may not be around in seven years time?
  17. He has shown no remorse, he maintains his innocence. I am surprised that you find doping a horse worse than a male attacking a woman kicking her in the head and attempting to strangle her but that's just my contrary opinion. Working is fine. Under NZHC rules, Anderson is unable to work in any trotting stable for two years due to his offending. All Anderson had to do was behave for two years and he could have resumed his harness career. That is unlikely now.

    BONUS BET...

That's what I did... easy money. I didn't get a bonus this week though.

    BONUS BET...

It was a bonus bet. I withdrew all money as I was advised to by kind posters on this site. To get the bonus I had to deposit $140 into my TAB account. I didn't split the bonus bet. I bet $35ew on Ohoka Agent. I backed the other runner from my account. Hope that makes things clearer...
  20. the fool only had to behave himself for two years on the sideline then he could have resumed his harness career. This serious misjudgement by Anderson will have consequences for both him and the idiot Burrows. Good riddance to both.
  21. There is a bias towards Canterbury because that is where the majority of harness horses are trained. Southland probably needs more dates but they are restricted by the weather down there. Southland winters are not conducive for harness or galloping racing. I think Southland Harness is doing Ok with promising horses coming through the grades and a number of excellent young trainers including, N. Williamson, Allister Black and Craig Fergusson.
  22. I agree with most of what you say mate and I know that you are not old! Little is dangerous. If you think that hate speech laws won't affect you just look at what is happening the U.K. where similar legislation was introduced recently. Be afraid.
  23. Someone from the harness racing fraternity probably shopped them to the RIU. Many honest, hardworking harness racing people are sick of the likes of Alford, Kerr, Burrows, Anderson, McGrath bringing the game into disrepute and making it easy for the likes of Von Beynon to stick the knife in. Burrows is an idiot if he thought that no one would notice, or care, if Anderson was working at his stables. Jackasses like Anderson and Borrows have had many chances Galah and they continue to push their luck breaking the rules. The industry does not need these two gentlemen, both should be banned.
