Andrew Little's upcoming hate speech laws will be far worse mate. I think HRNZ are wise to start planning ahead. You better watch what you are saying when angry Little's laws are passed in Parliament. The hate speech legislation will be a disaster for the likes of you Brodie... old white Caucasian... public enemy No. !. Unfortunately, the taxpayer-subsided Stuff will be on Little's side. Beware.

JCA Hearing - Allford. Substance caught injecting was formalin.

I have zero sympathy for Anderson. What he did to a that woman is inexcusable and a disgrace. Yes, he is a better horsemen than Alford but that wouldn't be hard. Anderson has shown no remorse for beating a defenceless woman. Today, we have further evidence of his dubious character in the latest Press article giving harness racing hating Von beynon plenty of ammunition. Both Anderson and Phil Burrows must be banned for life. https://www.stuff.co.nz/sport/racing/125035147/banned-harness-racing-figure-caught-in-breach-of-disqualification -
https://www.stuff.co.nz/sport/racing/125035147/banned-harness-racing-figure-caught-in-breach-of-disqualification Both of these gentlemen need to be banned for life from harness racing. This is a disgrace. What the hell is Burrows thinking? We all know Burrows is a reasonable trainer but clearly not too bright. Burrows has a checked history and this is another black mark on his poor record. Idiots like him give the harness racing hating Von Beynon plenty of ammunition. Disgrace.

It's positive news, thanks for posting. There are a couple of areas of concern, especially stakes reduction, but hopefully that can be turned around.

It is the first Bonus Bet I have had. I had to deposit $140 into my account to get it. So I guess that is how it works, deposit $100, get $50 bonus etc. Not really sure how it works mate, but it worked for me.

Good grief... plenty of calories there mate! 😅😅

After complaining last week that I had never had a bonus bet, I got one. I took the advice offered here and withdrew all the money from account. I checked my TAB profile. I was signed up for emails, promotions etc but I had never received any emails. My email address was correct so not sure what was wrong but I replaced all the information and saved it and an email arrived on Thursday saying I had a $70 Bonus Bet. Woop woop! I thought I would stick with Alister Black at Invercargill because I have won plenty off his horses this season. I put $35ew FF on Ohoka Agent and got a good collect. I also backed his other winner later in the day so TAB account is healthy. What a strike rate A. Black has, a good young Southland trainer. Thanks again for the advice. Don't know if I will get another Bonus Bet after yesterday's success. 😆

Those offering the money will be pleased they were turned down. Skyvale another overrated speedster that doesn't make the grade.. it's a long list.

The horse is average at best. Easy to look good in some of the maiden fields assembled these days. Wait until it drops back then be on.
-
You could say that about most races today. Soft leads, no challengers, very disappointing. Just like the old days. Bring back Mark and Natalie at least they put a horse into a race.
-
I agree. Same happened in the following race, Plutonium Lady was handed the race. Belmont Major stormed home but still near last turning in. No, I didn't have a bet.🙄
-
Spend it wisely mate. All the best.

Motel owners raking it in mate...🙄🙃

Thanks mate. Enjoy your weekend.

I am looking forward to the racing at Alexandra Park tonight. Hopefully, it does not rain tonight. Karrots, what is the weather like up there? I think Sundee's Son will win the Rowe Cup, will be an upset if he is beaten? But, the most pressing thing on my mind is, can Queen of Strathfield (R3) finally win a race? She has had nine second placings so is overdue. There are some great races. Two-year-old filly True Fantasy was impressive last week but it will take a Natalie Rasmussen special to win from the outside of second line tonight. Five Wise Men looks a class above the rest and like Sundee's Son should bolt in. The Messenger is a two-horse war between Copy That and Amazing Dream. I think the extra distance suits Amazing Dream as she is a tough mare. I also think the 2700m will suit Southcoast Arden and she could be worth a sneak place bet. Hope everyone enjoys the racing tonight and good luck punting. I hope you fill your TAB accounts.

I don't watch or bet on amateur driving races. Miss S. Wigg is a good, consistent driver and she has a sense of humour going by an interview I saw on Facebook. Good luck to her.

You may be right mate. But, back in the day only the first four horses home got stake money. Today, the whole field gets something. A slow horse like Pocket Rocknroll finishes last 16 lengths behind the winner at Rangiora in the Super Sprint, yet still earns $160 in stake money. That was probably enough to pay his way for the day?

I did some research at Infohorse on Sole Command's last 10 starts, where, his placing and total stake for race. https://harness.hrnz.co.nz/gws/ws/r/infohorsews/wsd06x?Arg=hrnzg-Ptype&Arg=HorseSearch&Arg=hrnzg-DoSearch&Arg=TRUE&Arg=hrnzg-rSite&Arg=TRUE&Arg=hrnzg-HorseName&Arg=SOLE+COMMAND Auckland, April 8, 1978, 2nd, stake $5350 Auckland, Feb 11, 1978, 1st, stake $100,000 (Auckland Cup) Auckland, Feb 4, 1978, 4th, stake $7250 Auckland, Jan 31, 1978, 4th, stake $7250 Wellington, Jan 14, 1978, 6th, stake $17,460 (Wellington Cup?) Wellington, Jan 11, 1978, 7th, stake $4940 Cambridge, Jan 4, 1978, 5th, stake $6000 Auckland, Jan 3, 1977, 3rd, stake $9900 Auckland, Dec 24, 1977, 10th, stake $9900 NZMetro, Nov 19, 1977, 8th, stake $10,000 (I think this race was the Allan Matson FFA? won by Palestine) Sole Command was a very good OC horse. I expect the stakes were higher for OC than lower grades? There were three races with stakes over $10,000 - Auckland and Wellington Cups and Allan Matson FFA run during NZ Cup carnival. It looks from this that stakes might be a bit higher today?

This doesn't make sense to me. I can't see the point of a 1700m race as it is only 90m longer than the 1609m mile. What is the point? May as well stay at the traditional mile distance rather than add a few more metres in my opinion. Lately, there have been some strange races over weird distances and here is another.

One of the best Rowe Cups I have seen was won by Yankee Loch trained and driven by master trainer/driver Jack Carmichael. I was oncourse that night on a rare trip to Auckland. The race was memorable because Yankee Loch could be very fractious at the start. Since taking over the horses' training Carmichael had improved him in this regard, but that night he really played up. He wouldn't line up, rearing and backing away from the tape and caused a false start. But on the second go he was on his best behaviour and made a flyer, led all the way and bolted in. Yes, I backed him.🙃
-
Pole position not ideal for him but I think he will still win. Those drawn outside him can be tardy from a stand, Temporale, One Apollo (very iffy from a stand but can make a flyer when in the mood) and Anditover. Let's face it, the field is not that strong OB, MM and BfB only horses in field that are close to Sundees Son in ability. He should get a good run and the gaps will open up during the 3200m. He will get a cosy run close to the pace and bolt in again. Like you, I won't bet but looking forward to watching the race. Go Sundee's Son!
-
Another problem is if your TAB account has zero dollars you cannot watch the races on the site. I had this problem last week at Auckland. Earlier in the week, I withdrew my money in the hope of a bonus that never came. I did not bet at Auckland but wanted to watch some of the great races there. I had to deposit money into account so I could watch Sundees Son and co.
-
Thank you JJ. I took the account back to zero last week and no bonus. I'll shall be patient and I may get a bonus bet someday? 🙄
