  1. Whether or not you agree with the rules is besides the point, yankiwi is right. What's the point of these rules if no one follows them? Just more Idiocracy from those in charge
  2. I also hope all the witnesses complained to the police about his wife's threats. Attempting to manipulate evidence is against the law
  3. There are 100s of incidents where this clown has been responsible for the injury of dogs trial day. I'm shocked the club have not sacked him after years of complaints
  4. So why was the club found to be negligent? not the first time these useless people working at wanganui have made mistakes like this. I can remember a number of times myself. Seems like you have a scued view of the incident
  5. And tbf, the wanganui club is not the only negligent club, auckland is just as bad. They think that by having a sign by the kennel block window saying you race and trial your dog there at your own discretion would mean they are not liable for any incident that occurs is laughable
  6. Nzgra and riu have always considered themselves above the law. You would find the majority of the time, if more decisions were challenged, they would lose many cases. I'm off the opinion trainers should not have to put up with slack caused from those in power in the industry and it seems the court of law is the only place to get a fair trial as the riu and jca are incompetent. The clubs reply is what is really worrying. Instead of dealing with the obvious staffing problem at the track, They punish the trainers. A complete joke. Once again, this leaves me questioning the negligence of this industry and its professionalism. On a side note, shouldn't the club be insured for these situations in the first place? Or is this just more negligence on the clubs part?
  7. Is not the first time the lure driver has failed to listen to instructions. Would be like a trainer asking for a run out of the Sprint boxes and going 720 instead. He's made the same mistake plenty of times. Good on her! Had a similar issue a few years ago when we had a dog go a miss first bend of a 520m trial and the same lure driver I assume just carried on the trial. The dog never raced again because of that. I hope these facts are not made up btw as I'm sure you know it's against the rules to trial a dog stood down
  8. The club are obliged to uphold health and safety issues. From my understanding, there have been several complaints in the past and nothing was done to fix the issue. Going to court was the right decision as the club are 100% liable and in this instance, proved correct. There should be shelter where the greyhounds line up as well instead of leaving them in the sun for 5-10minutes. It's an animal and human welfare issue standing out in the sun. I remember discussing this issue with another a few years ago where the riu have highlighted running back at Cambridge a health and safety issue, but not at otago or palmy. If someone hurt themselves at palmy or otago running back and the club/riu we're sued or court action was filed, the question would be raised as to why it's an issue at Cambridge but not these other two tracks. It seems the greyhound industry is lacking on several fronts. Not just integrity
  9. Good joke that one
  10. The dogs a useless squib with 3 wins in 11 races.
  11. Anyone who was on the industry back than saw it. The records prior to 2003 are not the best. As for the trainer. The system has a habit of making the person who trained older dogs last the trainer throughout out it's career. Nzgra did step in to stop this in the end as the dog collapsed several times. You obviously have very little experience if you don't remember this incident
  12. And while you are at it, why don't you get them to look at the amount of dogs McInerney rehomes... Oh wait... ? Getting back to the subject on hand, was the dog put down? Or did he save it for rehoming? ?
  13. It's not that the association can't stop these dogs coming in, they refuse to
  14. The number of trainers with dogs on the gap list doesn't even surpass the amount of public trainers in the country, let alone all the owner trainers. Really shows how much of an issue this is
  15. There needs to be monitoring of what dogs do after the line. A dog attacking another dog can ruin careers and I've seen a few nasty incidents where stipes have done nothing about it.
  16. This clearly is not the case though. Very few trainers actually re-home their dogs when you go through and look at the lists. I'd be willing to say at least 40-50% of trainers re-home none of their hounds
  17. I don't think anyone jealous of his success, the problem is he is breeding too many dogs. Anyone who thinks all of these dogs being bred and not rehomed is a good thing are daft. They are helping put the nails into the coffin of the sport
  18. Which class a drug?
  19. You will find the riu have a list of people they deem unfit to be in Greyhounds. They have been targeting this group for several years now waiting for 'slip ups' or 'accidents' to occur. I for one find it strange how some trainers rarely have kennel inspections while other have them frequently. I find it more strange how the stipes turn blind eyes to some kennels that I know for a fact don't meet the current welfare conditions. I.e. dogs being kenneled in trailers I would recommend taking action if that is the case as discrimination is illegal.
  20. It's unprofessional that nothing was done about the dog. It has nothing to do with the trainer at all. If this was in Australia, the dog would have been blooded and pissed swabbed. All they are asking is why no questions were asked which is more than fair
  21. Why would you save a dog these days when gap doesn't want dogs that have had serious injuries in the first place? I give greyhound racing here ten years before it's gone. Grnz have done nothing to improve any of the issues currently. Just letting issues spiral more out of control
  22. Past atrocities aside. Being 1.8kg down is not a good sign for any Greyhound if the trainer believes they shouldn't be
