  1. Heard that only a handful of licensed and unlicensed trainers nation wide had records off where every single dog had gone. Most had several missing Cole/Ahern is a big contributer to this mess but as you have said, not the only one.
  2. There are at least 9 trainers that I know off that operate this way. Problem is grnz can't police the rule. Only apply it when it suits them. Just like the other new rule where no unlicensed people are allowed to live on the same property as or interact with racing dogs. Thatd mean most trainers are breaking the rules. Especially those with children not old enough to get a license

    Weslyn

A lot tougher over the longer distances in Australia than in New Zealand as there tends to be alot more pace. Her time first up suggested she was probably 4 or 5 lengths of the elite level in Australia.
  4. Was a great finish and the winner deserved it. Dyna Dave was huge as well.
  5. I'm sure when you are driving in a race worth a few 100k, how many times you use the whip is the last thing you are worried about
  6. I do believe that the riu, jca, grnz only have 6 months after the breach to do this. Would've challenged that myself
  7. Looks bad when both drivers of the first and second horse in the race were fined for the same thing.
  8. If I recall, she had very little to do with the fixing part of that story so I do not see the irony. Maybe if they named it the dealer, I would

    NZ Cup

Thought the fields we're not overly strong this year outside of the top 10 dogs. What are everyone's thoughts? Penny Mack, Dirk Bale, Dyna Dave should be favourites of recent form I'd also put shallay pallay and zipping Archie in as outsiders (if he gets a start. Saw him run a few times in Melbourne and has an engine)
  10. Bad ride? won easy ?

  12. yes, they have. They can only breed 3000 dogs tops in the entire state. Why numbers have gone down
  13. never forget, it is now against the rules to leave your dog at a vet complex. One of the worst rules i have ever seen
  14. no, the trainer has to be responsible for their actions and their workers actions. Hard to say something like this is happening without trainers knowledge when its the trainers partner and worker doing it. Why do you think J Mcinerney was charged when it was his workers negligence that led to the dogs dying?
  15. 87.5 The Trainer of a Greyhound is at all times responsible for the welfare and proper care of a Greyhound and shall at all times comply with the Welfare Code. This responsibility cannot be delegated to any other person at any time.
  16. L Coles responsibility as they are under her name, shed be just as responsible as B Cole. Probably why she doesnt live there anymore
  17. There are people who are apart of HRNZ who are involved with people under investigation. The right decision was made. Otherwise, if this was released and it had the HRNZ hands all over it, we would be questioning whether the outcomes reached were because of certain peoples self interest (This is not a dig at any of those people. Sadly, more often than not however, people are greedy and this sort of thing does happen)
  18. Going for Natures Gent Penny Mack has been sensational since crossing the tasman but he does seem to have a tendency of missing the jump slightly, and being drawn in the 5 box with Quastis Bale in the 1, and bigtime lilly and blazin carter outside, if he misses the jump, itll open the race right up. Natures gent getting the two is a huge advantage if he can stay clear of Quastis bale and as much as I love Dyna Dave, hes on a foreign track with alot of mid race pace in the field which will make it hard for him to pick them apart like he normally does.
  19. the government can take your land for "Market Value"
  20. It does not say the precedung 28 days and the current day. Only the preceding. Makes sense to any sane person. Any other ruling on this particular issue is magic wand stuff
  21. I do not see how this will make any difference at all. Most dogs put out for failing to pursue that come from australia take a few month to settle in and requalify anyway. All a trainer would have to do is not race a dog within that 3 month period and there would be absolutly nothing stopping that dog coming into nz. GRNZ time could be better spent elsewhere right now on issues such as greyhound population control which to my disbelief, still hasnt been pursued yet

The rules seem pretty clear. The riu investigators have no power over unlicensed people and properties. If the had any concerns over training arrangements or anything of that kind, im sure they could go and check the properties where the dogs are. They clearly cannot enter properties freely when no one is licensed on it as per their own rules and it would be doubtful that they could even if they put it into their rules.
  23. The officials are not known for their mathetician skills ?
