Would be hoping so Ranga! Why wouldnt they put the headies up on Show Day racing? The fields arent worth betting into, so to get punters interested, BRING BACK “HEAD TO HEAD’S” They have them for the boring gallops, so why js harness being treated differently? Is it that the NZ harness Bookies not up to much??

The local gallops in NZ always seem to have “Head to Head’s”! The NZ harness never seems to have them and have not for a long time! Wonder if the NZ Bookies are going to have them on Show Day for the NZ punters? Probably won’t as they don’t want to retain punters do they? Go on Bookies put a bit of cheer into Show Day as there is not much excitement going on when AllStar horses plunder all the major placings!

Would like to see the turnovers for each meeting including the tote and fixed odds! What I do know is that win /place tote pools are a fraction of what they used to be. Would like to know how much the Bookies are actually taking on each race, as they are just a no risk Bookie outfit! When they restrict many yo pathetic amounts and then they are showing $500 and $1000 bets as being large bets it is clearly not encouraging wagering! I would love to be able to assist them increase their Bookie turnover if they would let me!!,

Nowornever, totally agree with you! If you want to gamble on Cup Day then just do it yourself! Fields are too tough and it will be the horses with the best runs on the day without doing too much unless you are an AllStars horse. Far better punting on other race meetings in the future! Gamma, there are things that are positive for harness racing in NZ. Just can not think of any in the North Island at the moment! What we need in NZ is not to have so many sheep and more that actually do speak up and not bow to people who really are nit up to the job. As stated above, the small fields are dominated by basically 2 or 3 stables. Great that they race horses but just shows what a sick position harness racing is in up North. Brodie obviously has his opinions on things and always states this, but will not apologise for being outspoken! What I have discovered over the past year or more Gamma, is just how accepting of mediocrity people are! How so many just accept what they are told to do and do not question!, How does Auckland racing continue to get such high amounts of funding when the product they deliver is poor? Can they trade out of their financial position with their racing? Not on what is currently going on!
