Reality is that most of the intelligent posters who were contributing most on RC got pissed Off with Scoobs in the end, and he is not capable of running that site. Truth can hurt Scoobs and you were naive to think that the crap that you allowed from several of your mates given to intelligent posters was going to be tolerated indefinitely. RC days are numbered and Scoobs you can quote me on that! They are going to abandon the sinking ship but you can leave the farting one with you!

Locharburn would’ve been one of better ones if he had stayed sound. Big strong horse as a 3 year old but always appeared to be a. Bit unsound even when he was winning, as he would go rough at times Would be an amazing effort if he was to get back and start winning but hard to see with his past problems

Wash your mouth out Flagship!

53. Shocking drive 54. Missed out on this weeks mainly therapeutic blood work 55 Would need to start now to beat that other crowd 56 Distance too far 57 Distance too short We could go on and on but yeah it is a great article Newmarket.

That race run in March 1986, so 32 years ago and they were racing for 45k and compare that to what the training fees and costs would’ve been back then to training fees and stakes today!!! What chance have you got of making enough money to make it pay nowadays and when you are racing horses that have mainly therapeutic blood work!! Doubt also that in March that you would get a field of 14 horses as half the field would come from one stable! How things have changed and certainly not for the betterment of the harness industry, but then there are some knobs that think differently, but they have a hidden agenda haven’t they?

Hi Robert, Yes He was a real iron horse! He wore the shadow roll and wasn’t that big but compact, and tried hard every start. Ran a lot of placing in the open class races, but do not think that he won any of the big big races.
-
Might be missing the blood transfusions?????
-
Na it was not that long after dollars and cents came in. Yes I started very young with the punting, with mum putting on the bets at the TAB, handwritten on the yellow or green tickets Many thousands of people at Addington on a Saturday night, manual totalisator board out the back and mum queueing up to exchange the double ticket for the second leg when you got the first in! Ah those good old days!
-
Yes think you are right Happy. Was he driven by Dexter or Blair that day?
-
When I was very young and my mum would put a small amount on for me, the two open class horses I loved were Stella Frost and Hi Foyle. Both always had something about them and both always tried hard and mostly paid a place dividend.

Celestial Arden left these shores for Australia not too long ago. Started Racing I believe over in Oz at Menangle and has won quite a few races and last night was just beaten into second in the Sunshine Sprint in Brisbane. Celestial Arden was a pretty useful horse trained by Grant Payne when he was in Canterbury. He won a few races and was pretty consistent but it just shows you how good horses can improve and become extremely good horses when they race over one mile. I don’t have to reinstate that I hate Mile Racing and the less we have in NZ the better, but there must be a helluva lot of horses racing in NZ that are not that competitive here, that could become an extremely good horse in Oz if it was racing over the mile or shorter distances.

No it wasn’t I have put my disguise away until the end of the week. First shake for awhile. We are pretty hardened people in Chch and used to earthquakes, it is just when Scoobs calls “Brodie” a “Cry Baby” that he has trouble handling it!!!!!
-
They have been a bit better recently which is all one can ask! They will be better off profit wise as well.q

Not bulging pockets, as it will just be another betting voucher filling my wallet.

Galah, there are many very poor drives at every meeting and nothing is said, except the amateur races where they are hammered.
-
Galah, yes I agree it was not a great drive as far as the punters that backed the horse goes! It was a great drive for me though due to the fact that I would not have got a substantial return if it had have been a better drive!
-
Yes it was not a great drive by Sam but it was notified that she wasn’t carrying the whip so they were going to drive it conservatively. Backed it to win at Rangiora last week in another weak field and should’ve won then. Had a good return in the race so I won’t complain about Sam’s drive!
-
And the poorest field to go with it to be fair!
-
My Field Marshall is a very good miler, providing the run suits him and Menangle track suits him. Doubt they would bring him over for the Cup!
-
He seriously has major issues! Why does he finish off with his Iraklis??? Doesnt need to do that. He is the only jockstrap in the country that goes orgasmic at watching stinking hot AllStars horses racing. Think he needs several rounds of mainly therapeutic blood transfusions, could only but help I would think. Maybe he just needs to get out more, as I have heard they have released many patients out into the community.
-
It did have a wind problem and I beleive it had a small operation, however Something not right with it or it just doesn’t try very hard. Wouldnt think it is going to win a race in the South Island but could burgle one at Manawatu if in front
-
No they don’t, just the ones that get all the stake money in the group races!
-
Think we know who they are Hedley
-
Yeah Nah! Most Place Odds far too short, not, worth the effort Happy. Couple Of win odds are not so bad, but Forbury a funny track.

Don’t think he controlled many at all Flagship, and that is why he has lost the plot and so many have joined the new Premier site, Bit of A Yarn, Premier Site For The Racing Community!
