  1. What is worse is when you sort out a certain place getter and it does not place!!!!! They run the race so slow and the driver just sits to the straight and gives it no show! Is that not driving your horse to not give it every chance of winning?
  2. Auckland need to be given a dose of realism!! They are a drain on harness racing in NZ and time they paid their way! The apartment developing was a rank failure and yet the rest of NZ has to pay!!!
  3. “No driver in any race shall drive in any manner capable diminishing the chances of his horse winning” Firstly, does this not include FEMALE DRIVERS???? Secondly, it is a load of BS, you could go to most races and you will see drivers that drive their horse incompetently and diminishing their horses winning chances!!!!!
  4. Let’s just see how much is wagered at Auckland compared to Addington! The tote odds at Auckland will be pathetic and why would, you bother! Fixed would be better if you want to buy it! Addington will attract far more!
  5. 55 horses over 8 races is average 7 per race! Total stakes for the 8 races is $389k, So the horses lining up are going to take home on average over $7k per horse! How on earth is the industry able to support this???? Punting wise it is an absolute flop and without wagering then they will fall on their sword surely?
  6. It gets worse, no idea how Auckland can possibly get out of this predicament? Lights out!
  7. Lightworkofit was a Pig as well ! Common denominator!
  8. Lol Fire Fox 1.49.6 LOL LOL It just shows how stupid racing over a mike is now doesnt it? Fire Fox was a reasonable horse but obviously the 1609m suits it just like alot of kiwi exports! If it can run under 1.50 over there just imagine how quick some of our other horses would go over the sprint? Kiwi horses overall are just so much better than the Ozzies, it is shown time and time again.
  9. Don Burrows had another grey trotter a few years ago that was probably even moodier than this one! It did win a few races and had ability but did the same things including standing on the mark and not moving! Think Dexter Dunn used to drive it as well as Don Burrows! I suppose if you are silly enough to back it then you take the risk knowing it is a PIG!!
  10. Yeah dont you just hate it when someone posts something on BOAY harness forum that is not about harness racing?? Of course it is a harness forum but that doesnt mean that harness racing is the only thing worth talking about from harness posters surely? Personally dont touch the gallops or dogs but if a regular harness poster wants to tip out a galloping winner then that must be ok surely?
  11. Na I didnt Davis. Was at the Freedom March 😷
  12. Not a great night at the office for young Carter Dalgety driving in Auckland! A hard track for a young fellah first up there as they go the wrong way around!! Sarah O’Reilly improved dramatically from early on and is a very good junior driver without doubt! Personally think Carter Dalgety is an extremely promising and talented Junior and so he should be with his pedigree and who he has been around! Appears to be very grounded and has been excellent when in the media! He will win a helluva lot of races as he will get on better horses probably than Sarah O’Reilly. It is good that we do have some very good Juniors in the Canterbury area as the North Island are very short on Juniors full stop!
  13. Na, not a trotter. It has been going good races and looks a great place option, only worry is the change of driver! Gets a good run and will place at reasonable odds! Not a great night of punting especially Auckland! On these nights where punting is poor shy on earth dont the Bookies bring back the “Head to Heads”? I reckon it is because they havent got the ability, but maybe they will prove us wrong, and take up the challenge??
  14. With respect Chief, I am on point! People I am talking to now are coming around to what Brodie has been saying! The jabbed are the ones getting the virus and passing it on! The unjabbed are the ones who are not! Heard of many Boostered recently that are getting it worse than the 2 shot ones, and they will continue to catch things as they are immune compromised unfortunately. Off to the TAB can see a collect for tonight!
  15. Sundons Flyer is racing second rate trotters down south mostly. Yes she is well past her best but still tries very hard week in and week out! However she goes her best races when having cover and always stops when in front! Jessica Young-Grant always gave the mare cover and normally came with the last run.
  16. Dangerous and has crippled NZ and any of its Citizens, Forbury! The full effects of what she has done has not fully rolled out as yet unfortunately.! The NZ media is a shocker and they still promote this Booster BS!!!
  17. Note Aveross Rustler is still racing in NZ as a 13 year old and 243 stsrts. Weasel an ex New Zealander racing tonight as usual at Redcliffe is a 15 year old and already had 390 starts. Amazing just how resilient the NZ standardbred horse is! They have both won a lot of races and done a good job but should there be a retirement age?
  18. Question needs to be asked? Why on earth do drivers on Sundons Flyer want to lead???? She starts twice a week and is generally a very quick beginner!!! What she is not and never has been is a pacemaker/leader!!!! Sundons Flyer is a sit sprint horse always has been, so why on earth they want to lead on it is highly questionable!! Not telling Bruce Negus how to train and with respect, but Bruce a bit of a tip from Brodie! Your horse Sundon Flyer is not a leader and you should be telling your drivers to give her a trail. She is well past her best and she has done a very good job for connections, however stop over-racing her and let her trail!! And NO I did not invest on her!
  19. Yep, the 2050 metre start seems to have worked! Not so much rushing to the first bend and gives everyone more opportunity to settle. Not sure why they didnt have this starting point years ago?
  20. Was meant to be Phar Lap raceway!
  21. I note the meeting at Washdyke on Wednesday has their sprint distance now over 2050 metres! For as long as I can remember it has always been 2000 metres! This is probably a very good idea as it will give runners an extra 50 metres to the first bend! Will be interesting to see what the drivers think?
  22. Lower North Island racing must is struggling big time and surely must be in its final throes? 68 staters and 23 are from the Michael House stable! Accolades must go to Michael House for still taking over third of the horses racing to the track. Without Michael House horses racing then surely the meeting would have been abandoned. Surely even with this number racing it must be questionable whether it is profitable for many apart from the winning owners? Will be interesting how long these trips from Mr House continues with the cost of energy whether it be petrol or diesel plus other costs! Interesting times for many isnt it?
  23. What a horse King of Swim was in Oz! One of the very best ever over the sprint distances and you wojld think he wouldve been great in NZ as well! They may run very fast over the miles but doesnt really make for exciting racing!
  24. Walt, well written once again! Have you read as yet, the release from Pfizer last week? Once you have, I doubt very much you will be calling the Pfizer a vaccine or regarding it as SAFE, as it is neither Walt!!
