Tab still betting on this until recently. Not bad if you knew he intended to go overseas, sure bet to punt on Blair. One reason I never bet on these type of events

Amazed why they would appeal fine?.... They should just cop it on the chin and get on with life. Why on earth would they continue to have it blasted around various media sites. Comes across as very arrogant.....

Tend to agree....I thought they were a good idea years ago...but not convinced now. Trouble is, too many allow the lead up....then get the run. Would rather a few more speed duels, a little over the soft lead scenario

Riccarton at this time of the year tends to be a lottery....mind you, most other nz tracks same. I will only punt at ruakaka now in the winter months.....rest in aussie

Mind you, Dibaba went a mighty race last week for 4th, so maybe he thought it might go OK. The 2 that finished first + second was always going to end up lead , trail.

Once Stratford claimed him, you knew the horse was gonna have a sore butt due to Stratford's whip wizardry!! Poor horse, feel sorry for it.

Just to clarify, I'm not knocking DD, we all know how good he is. But rival drivers in the sth island really let him dominate in front. Any horse can sprint a half in 57 if they have an easy run in front, which most of the time he gets. He only has an average record at Auckland, because other drivers up there are more aggressive.

You gotta be joking.....both tracks yesterday were bloody terrible. You had horses with wet track form, course stats, but were dropping out half way thru race? This happens for the next 6 months? No wonder punters bet more on AU's racing.....

Totally agree....sadly punters following harness form would always look at what connections drivers / trainers have in races. Won't have a bet today at timaru, as I know they will let DD dominate the races,

Thought Splash Cola good bet in first, seems more settled, always had speed. Anyone taking exotics later, cast a shadow & bull pen race 10, bold ruler in last. Think they will go good. Good luck,
