Thanks, yes my point exactly. As for jumping races, I have always looked them, one of the first times I went to Riccarton I remember Grey Warbler winning. So it’s not about me disliking jumping, it’s what is happening lately in these jumping races.. too many falling, maybe inexperienced riders, maybe dodgy tracks….. I was pointing out that once the anti racing types jump on it jumps racing will be gone. Some may say I’m dreaming, but 5 yrs ago nobody would have thought dog racing would be banned.

Anyone else get survey from TAB? Asking for views on promotions…. or lack of, I gave them my honest opinions🤣. Me thinks they should be worried, been told from those in the know, TAB figures show no gains since overseas punting stopped

Well…. Don’t want to sound like Forbury, but his drive on Don Juan was poor, why on earth go back to the inside, real brain fade. Before that, a horse ended up with foot in another cart🫣, amazing anyone bet on these races, as surprisingly pools usually not bad… I think the reason, these amateur drivers have plenty of family and friends, who have no idea what will happen… so easily put a few bucks on anything…. and of course, the bet on red brigade…

John Allen stated in 2020 that 56% turnover comes from 1.5% of the TABs elite punters? Is this still the case? Also, there are some intelligent types on BOAY…..do we have any early turnover figures for TAB in July… vrs 2024? Thanks

Good old Grey Way….Sth island had some great horses running around in the 70s & 80s…. Sadly, horses racing now are well below that standard. It was great to see horses winning from everywhere yesterday at Oamaru, seemed most had their chance on the heavy track. Would rather see more racing there than Timaru and Ashburton, which has a leaders bias…

Yeah, you are right. Unless fixed odds drift out, TAB normally pays better. One good thing about Betcha, Tab is the blended option, at least it lets you pick own races for multiple horses ion multiple races, escpecially if you have a couple you think are at overs

Well, the NZ product, you know the gallops that get abandoned every 2nd day, the 2nd tier horses, the dodgy riding in the Sth island, dodgy tracks etc….lets be honest, NZ punters punt more on Aus racing than NZ racing, so that shows how crap it is. American Football…. Tab reap the dough off that sport, and I’m sure the sport receives money from Tab in NZ 🤣 As for me punting, I still bet on harness, I don’t mind both meetings on a Friday night, but if betcha stops giving promos, I will cease that. I’ve started taking lotto again on a weds/ Sat, at least I know some of the money goes back to the community for decent people, or clubs that help kids etc…. rather do that than spend my dough at NZ Tab, so they can fix tracks and increase stake money, so that the rich pricks that own and race nags, get more cream

I’ve now found myself investing a heap less on Aus racing on a Saturday…. and here is the main reason. While betting on IPhone, Sportsbet supplied full or partial replay on most races, select a horse and watch straight away, real quick and valuable for a punter. 1, SB allowed EW multi bets together, NZ no. 2, SB allowed less than 5% exotic bets, great for huge quaddie pools, NZ no. 3, SB form guide fantastic. 4, NRL match offers, money back if any lose, TAB offer 1 leg lose, but can’t take more than one in game. 5, SB offered 3 race multi rescue, Betcha 4 races. 6, SB regularly gave money back if a horse missed start, gave money back on losing quads. 7, NBA offers, 2 leg multi, any lose bonus back No doubt others will remember these offers, certainly makes the dollars stretch more. in fact, the best thing about Betch & TAB, when you withdraw its in your account quick…. It did take a few days to get from SB

Oh dear…. TAB are scraping the barrel now, this is there big deal breaker of the day, a $26 shot in a 14 nag field….wont entice me, that’s pathetic. So 6th week not betting with TAB , balance ZERO.. Worth noting, Betcha have plenty 2nd & 3rd back deals today, first 4 races Addington, Oamaru & Dogs….as well as extras to use on other races with 4 or more races, then a few offers on sport. So what am I missing here, 6 months ago I would bet with TAB, Betcha and Sportsbet….. now SB gone, what was the point of Betcha coming to market? They were supposed to target sports punters, but really they offer more on racing than TAB, so punters switch but there is no point increase in betting😁😁😁 OMG, what were the goons expecting at TAB, just reduce promos and watch NZ punters flock back🫣

Well…. how’s this. I’m sick of NZ racing wanting to be propped up while I’m having a bet tonight on the AFL & NRL…. and to make matters worse, odds are less than Aus operators. Funny thou, so many dreamers reckoned NZ racing would survive without gambling 🤣🤣🤣

That’s just my issue, NZ racing want their share, even though I mainly bet on Aus racing and overseas sports? Betcha on a Friday night usually give me 2nd and 3rd back, so I will usually bet then, if they don’t might only have one or 2 bets, they know that if they offer its more likely I bet into or over nights sports.
