Thanks,  but I have followed that link already....fine until I have to 'enter the email I registered'  .... I never used an email to log in,  but I obediently entered my email anyway....locked.

Freda,

Only trying to help, but the email address they sent email to reset password, is it the same one that you get other promotional emails from tab?

Just making sure you havnt used different emails, because in the past, i have.

I doubt they had anymore phone line capacity to have heaps of temporary staff. I also think the volume of calls received is considerably higher than anticipated. Who knew people might not like the new beast and/or could have problems mastering it,?

Can't anyone write emails either?

If you want to get your funds back you could try the following:

1.Go to a TAB Branch or Agency not a pubtab

2. Fill out a withdrawal slip as usual.

3. When the operator tells you the account is locked ask them to call Head Office to get it unlocked so you can make the withdrawal. They have a different number to the HelpLine number they can phone on.

4. Once they have made contact you will be asked to verify your ID with the person on the phone

5. Once this is done your account will be unlocked. Complete the withdrawal process.

If it was me I would then close this account. Open a new one there and then if you so desire.

I'd also wait a few days till the dust settles in Petone or otherwise it might take a bit of a wait at the TAB to make it happen.

Good luck. Don't let them for you off either. This is an easy fix.

Will try that...thanks

Good idea Mark. We have been talking directly with punters and resolving issues but accept there is a wider audience. We are putting a lot of stuff up on the micro site but will talk with the team about getting more on social media.

WTF. Why don't they answer their own damn question. What about data other than tote odds, what about bet placement.

Will API end points be made available to the general public for access?

Tote racing will be available by XML and Fixed Odds by exception. If you require fixed odds you will need to contact us.

Good find. Was that in the FAQs on the uppingthegame site? Oh yeahh, see it now. Did you see info about how to do that? I assume I have to write my own code. I wonder what other info comes with the tote odds data. Ad why would they make FO info so difficult to access similarly.

It's ironic that I can go onto twinspires.com in the US and have a bet at Wanganui using free conditional betting service that allows me to place the bet say 1 minute before tote close provided my pricing condition is met at the time and also to download free handicapping software that interacts with the website data, yet this lot have not only not provided it but don't even appear to consider it necessary to compete and grow the business.

Um....still haven't received my password reset email.  So I tried again.....probably will really confuse things.

One question though on the old site each race meeting had a set of indexes - e.g. trainers, jockeys.  There you could view a list of the trainers and the races they had horses in.  I was hoping for an improvement on that where they actually listed the horses name as well as the race it was in.....

All that aside.....I CAN'T FIND ANY INDEXES AT ALL.  Any clues BOAYer's?

No the buck stops with him - they're his guys.

I guess you could say that for two of them as they were bought in from his previous employment gigs.  He was gifted Saville i.e. was there when Allen started.  In saying that Saville doesn't seem to have much wagering experience and I understand his previous employment as a bookie was more the bag carrier than odd setter.

I'm pretty sure they wont let you place bets via an API - the odd setting hamsters are not up to speed yet!

Yes but... if they want this to reduce leakage and raise revenue and be more competitive ... For $50m, surely they would want to at least match global competition for business on their primary front end service and as Mardi says, they haven't even answered the bloody question.

I thought the system was automating fixed odds setting. The API can simply respond with what stake they are taking and away you go.

And what about tote betting, exotics etc. Surely an API can be provided to do this.

An opportunity to bring themselves into the realm of competition, and they've let it slip. WTF did they get for $50m?

Doesn't matter IMO.  After more than 3 years in the job he has to take ownership.  Got rid of a lot of the previous administration when he came in and obviously made a decision to keep Saville.  Don't expect him to publicly criticise staff but by the same token I don't expect him to praise them publicly on less than average results - which he has done.

Try Racing/PDF. Once in there click on the meeting of your choice. On the right hand side of your screen you'll see Tips. Next to that open the drop down box and you'll find a number of choices including Sires, trainers etc. Hope this helps

Sort of helped but I DON'T WANT A PDF!!!!  Why can't it be an index at least like before where you could click on each race beside each trainer?  As I said an improvement would have been to provide the Horse name as a link.....

So many logical things are missing or hard to find. PDF was the closest thing I could find. No idea why a PDF is favoured. I'm just a customer like you

Re; Indexes ..trainers/jockeys/sires. The only way i have found thus far is:

Go to PDF Format...scroll down to the date/race meeting you want (eg Thurs 10 Jan Wanganui ...) and there is a Jockeys/Trainers/Sires option (link) on the far right ...

nowhere near as convenient as the old system but at least you'll get the info you want (for NZ Gallops, anyway!)

?

I don't consider a PDF on a website driven by a database an INDEX.
