https://www.stuff.co.nz/national/crime/124430317/police-investigating-complaint-about-young-harness-racing-trainer-mitchell-kerr

Another day, another boot in the guts for harness racing by the taxpayer-funded Stuff. MVB has co-written another piece. Again, like the story earlier in the week, nothing new just regurgitation of old news. Anyone who thinks this journalist does not have an axe to grind re harness racing is mistaken. MVB, as Karrots, says has an agenda. He is against harness racing and wants to destroy it that is obvious.

You brought my name up here D, so I just want to say 1 last post on this, then no more.

From reading those comments on Harnessed of those that are for ALL the articles to be published main stream, they seem to view it as supporting cheats.

That absolutely is NOT the case. I am about fair play. Cheats repulse me.

Some of these articles DO need to be published but just once maybe at most twice. But some not at all. And def not 3-4 times.

Iv seen what this is all about and hence stated my disapproval. The negative spin that is only coming from The Press due to the MVB perceived influence there.

If I had any influence within HRNZ I would disengage entirely with The Press and I would also advise all trainers to do so also. Ignore, ignore, ignore. THEY CANNOT BE TRUSTED.

Chat with other media outlets, those that you can trust will give a balanced non biased view of the GOOD and also the BAD.

This is a potential big problem long term for the industry.

As I have stated before I would go to the Racing Minister regarding it. Just provide all the evidence. There is plenty of it now. Ask him for a objective view-point.

I’d also be so tempted to ask MVB if he called me, to turn the questions on him.

What is he trying to achieve?

Why does he never right a positive article?

Why does he see the need to repeat the same article multiple times?

Why is he focused on Harness racing and not Greyhounds and Gallops?

What does it think it will achieve writing multiple articles on the same subject?

Does he think the general public are that interested in Harness to be getting multiple articles on a weekly basis on the same subject?

What is his end goal?

Whoever Sam Sherwood is, he needs to pull his head in and not associate with Van Beynon!

We know the bloody story, why are the plonkers continuing to make it headlines every week?

It is not new news, just a rehash!

Harness racing was promoted by The Press for such a long time

Nowadays all they sant to do is castigate harness racing and its participants

You'd shoot a parrot if it kept repeating itself!

Where's Woodham on the front foot?  Where are the RIU leaks coming from?

How do you get an objective viewpoint of cheating, drugs and the fraud going on lately. The public are entitled to.know what is common knowledge within the industry. At the moment I wouldn't encourage even my enemies to get involved in the industry.

Not exactly "widespread" is it?  The cheating, drugs and fraud that is.

Not sure how far widespread it is but unfortunately seems to be a lot going on with  trainers in Canterbury at the moment.

Kerr
Alford

Are there any more?

Out of how many licensed trainers and drivers?

Irrelevant but that probably 10% of professional trainers in Canterbury that probably, although no.proof, have affected over 100 owners as I know Mitchell Kerr had a few big syndicates involved

Why is it irrelevant?  Hell if you think in any sport that there isn't any crossing the line then you are as naive as Galah.

Where is the race fixing and widespread doping?  With the latter it seems to be only themselves that are being self doped and dopey.

Irrelevant as 1 is too many,in most sport crossing the line isn't breaking the law,its breaking rules not illegal behaviour. With racing it is defrauding the public .

Your views are just as important as anybody and I'm definitely not saying my view is right, but I just believe that reporters have every right to report illegal activities. It is up to those involved in racing to be beyond reproach. If there wasnt so much dodgy shit going on then there wouldn't be anything to report

So your calling me naive ,yet your the one who continually posts  views that say there is very little crossing of the line. You seem to be contradicting yourself judging by that comment. I think  i must be winning the argument,at least thats how i view it,so i will stop posting on this  while i'm ahead..
