    • Yes , I thought all Cowans were Aka !! I have no race records at all , but I remember Show Gates brother well....Show Keeper a gelding. There were a couple others who showed promise as Colts but went amiss. Going Some and Troilus ! Show Keeper won once at 3 and with bad form started fresh  at 4 over 2000m at Gore , possibly ridden by Steven Crutchley and it won paying $45 ! The next season he looked really good and was working the house down ...Gordon used the stop watch on all fast work and declared tho he was resuming in the 2200m Ashburton Cup he really should be in the Open 1200m such was his times ! He duly led all the way and won by 5 lengths fresh up at 2200m ! Gordon always looked out for good young jockeys and he nailed Brent Thompson for the  1975 NZ Cup but he got stuck on the rails for an unlucky 5th , the Cup being won by Heidseck. Maybe you remember Show Keeper.
    • However if she indeed has not come up as a 4yo she creates great value for another horse. The obvious one is Bourbon Princess $4 2nd fav but based on 3yo form last year there is a longer priced horse that will pay more for a place than either of the two favs are paying for a win.
    • almost word for word with a chat I had with a punting partner today, if i was to be having a bet, there might be some nice odds for a show bet!  (as in a 1/2 finish). I bet keen to see if O has improved in appearance! she was slightly underwhelming last time, other times she has present Large
    • Bloody hell Newmarket. I just looked under promotions and discovered the $100 offer. I would never have known it was there. I have never had any texts or emails about it and there was nothing indicating it on my account.  I suppose I am a bit silly for not spotting it. I have never looked under promotions before. I think you can use bonus cash just like normal money when betting can't you? No need to use it all at once. But I think you can only use it on fixed odds, is that correct?
    • There is no way in the world they will abandon Ellerslie. If a jockey falls off they will fine them for falling off.
