  1. Sorry must have missed that one earlier.
  2. Tito may have ridden Magellan at some stage, was trained by Hellen preston, very tidy performer, by adios ll from memory, remember her good old coast soft track horse, ernest, was a bold looking black, handsome, one of my favourites back in the day, Helen horses always turned out well and I always thought she was a very good trainer, hopefully my thoughts are correct, the older memory sometimes better than the present day one, fury another one just popped into my head by Beaufort sea, a very underrated sire.
  3. Out or cherie susie I think from memory
  4. Cheers for your support, interesting I posted on other thread before reading yours, our views very similar, probably the toughest decision I've ever made, no matter how much thought I've put into it, and it's been huge, the same conclusion I come to, is just how bloody wrong this is, a mate thought i was extreme when I akin it to rape, is it any different, at least you save your job on one score.
  5. Yeah finally some backlash, apparently I heard there's a couple of industries going to court to fight the mandate, bit of talk about the roll out for the poor kids to, but think much been swept under the carpet, for now, I'm sure we will find out more eventually, and many questions raised as to how legal these mandates are, the tide may be turning.

    Bloody Hell!

Doesn't take to much to scare people away from the racing, and many wont go back, lockdowns and vax passes, crazy, but many people probably got out of a lot of habits eg eating at home, coffee at cafes, no local racing, many have discovered how many cash they can save, probably why lot of businesses been disappointed with trade after lockdowns ceased.
  7. How sad, certainly won't make one news, to late for the poisoned, I know one that just had booster, now with on going heart issues, I know at my work three with issues from it, many many more that we will never know of,I've made my decision, and will be staying untainted as the risks are just to high, will lead to unemployment in a month, but the sacrifice I have to take, shame when I enjoy my work and employers, interesting enough in my position the vaxxed and anti all allowed in the supermarket, it's there right to shop, but not mine to stay untainted, winter will be interesting and how all the poisoned cope with the standard flu, and wether they any of their own immunity left, us that are left may be in demand.
  8. Interesting a double vaccinated and booster latest positive case, is it really working one would say not
  9. And still in our country they are pushing the injection, have heard already been a few nasty reactions in the kids, not sure how true it is, let's hope this madness stops sometime soon.
  10. Cheers for thoughts, a tough one for sure, have found some of your posts very informative, interesting how so many medical people have questioned the jab, and paid the price for speaking out, and inremain the only one un in my department, and it certainly has divided families and friends, but I guess time will tell on the long game, interesting three co workers have come down issues that they've never experienced before, all jabbed, two had hospital visits, all had high blood pressure, as one had to purchase tester as advised by doctor, bought it to work, where the oldest unvaccinated leper had the best reading of the department, coincidence or not.
  11. Thanks for the answers, the time is running out on the work place mandate for me, bloody tough decisions when you either take the poison or lose your job, bloody disgrace I reckon, what does one do, I guess when more start falling over and the flu season hits, one can only hope their employers are begging for workers, as I, like my job and my employers, but their only puppets in this sick world we live in.
  12. Is it true that the jab will destroy ones natural immunity, if so that's very scary, also with work places that mandate under health and safety laws, would they be liable for any major effects from the injection.
  13. Guess some race better given different types of training programs, not a one size fits all approach.

    Kumara

Looked like a reasonable crowdxthere today, but hard to tell on TV, can't say I got on to a winner, but the racing looked good, certainly those draws are crucial, with quite a few caught wide the trip.
  15. Thanks for the rant, it wasn't me that attended, and was turned away, and certainly wasn't directed in anyway at the club, as I know the rules, and yes a NZTR ruling, hence stayed at home, and would never put gate attendants in that position, there only doing a job, some will always flout the rules.
  16. That's a bugger, long way to travel to be turned away, mind you you do see much more on TV, and get a better idea where your money goes, you've would have been around that track many times over the years, I bet, I enjoy the TV coverage everything looked great, but hard to judge crowd numbers, turnover the key.
  17. Racing looked good and track played fair for all, everyone got around in one piece, can ask for much more, how was your turnover.
  18. Any predictions on times, have had some super fast 2000m races up there in previous years.
  19. First meeting I've missed for some years, the vaccine pass enough to keep me away, will be watching on and hope they have great day, hopefully this plandemic be over soon, and some normality can return.
  20. More down to earth the the ole coasters, nothing put on about them.
  21. Certainly a few new year resolutions on the coast today.
  22. One news showed the incident, give the animal right activists all the fuel for their fire, have limited racing coverage, but sure pick up on the negatives.
  23. Interesting in Australia they are compensating the injured and ones hospitalized with side effects, nothing reported on news here about it, must have missed the memo.
  24. No pun there.
  25. Agree with freda have backed this mare a few times, and even when she jumps well, likes to drift and do her own thing, even with her former trainers , but no question of her ability, Putin a big run fresh up at riccarton for fourth paying 80s, although this day she came home via the rail, thought on that run be a cert next start, disappointing run I thought even though better than it probably looked, didn't see her in next start that she won, the thing that I liked at the time was the change of trainer, sometimes, its easy to think when they race from the back and charge home, some think well if we ride her handy and she will finish the race off the same way, how many times have we seen that end in disaster, she certainly is quirky.
