This is what this entity is good at - Copy and Paste management, forget the million other things that need sorting.

Someone more in the know than me, let me know what this system does? Is this a strange email to be sending out about Testing? NZTR Single National System External Participants Update Background As you will be aware NZTR is currently undertaking an enormous IT project, where it is transitioning from the existing Racing Management System (RMS) to the newly purchased licence Single National System (SNS) from Racing Australia. Testing is commencing NZTR has received the SNS Release 1.0 from Racing Australia and begun testing. This Release includes the first developed customisations with NZ data. A thorough and efficient testing process is an integral part of ensuring NZTR’s existing business processes can be conducted successfully in SNS. As the majority of the customisations received to date relate to internal business processes, NZTR anticipates external testing and subsequent training will get underway in 2022. External participants can expect to receive regular updates in the interim. NZTR thanks external participants for their patience as this process is worked through. How will testing work? NZTR’s Test Lead has developed test scripts with step-by-step instructions, and NZTR’s subject matter experts (SMEs) are using these to test SNS. Once these test scripts have been performed and resulted, the results are discussed with the NZ Project team, and reviewed daily with Racing Australia. This testing with SMEs is expected to take several months as further releases are received. If you have any feedback, questions or concerns, please contact Michelle Dando, SNS Training & Engagement Specialist on michelle.dando@nztr.co.nz Kind regards, Michelle Dando SNS Training & Engagement Specialist

I'll go for a bit of an Exoboom @$21s -
I also like a number of the initiatives, but these have been suggested for years and ignored for years .If they had implemented half of them when needed we may have been in a better space than what we are now, racing has lost so much of its lustre I can see many not caring about the significance of them. i.e. the Country Cups - what country cups they are killing off the majority of country racing or making them race somewhere else. A Champions day not sure how that will work, won't that mean they are just pulling significant races away from somewhere else to do that? Not sure and most of it is never really thought out or discussed well enough to think of the implications of any of the decisions made, i.e. Auck Cup etc. I know that was an ARC initiative but the dates have to ok it also.

Makes for some interesting reading and more of the same or in their case copied from someone else, but I'd have thought one thing they would want to be particularly careful about now and in the future would be making rash decisions around venues, given the environment we are living in and likely to be in for a considerable amount of time. Anyone see somethign they particularly like? or new? https://loveracing.nz/OnHorseFiles/Downloads/NZTR-Directions-Paper_FINAL-VERSION.pdf

Two absolute Warriors for mine. FOO 2006 one of the most underrated ever, check out where he came from and his finish. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W-ziJvyLasE Northerley probably didn't get the respect he served cause he beat one of the all time great mares twice in the race.

Anyone seriously surprised? They surely care so much for NZracing they'd do it for free , like most other clubs in NZ surely?

Dalasan in a boil over!

Isn't that always the case if you don't have rich owners???

How about the race of the day , the G1 from Hastings, surely PDF?

The Chosen One for me, really liked how he has improved with each run this campaign. The race of the day got to be The Everest slowly but surely turning into a must watch race, Masked Crusader for me!

I have Fairy Flash, so if I get it the first major change I'm making is moving from sausage rolls to cream donuts, so our Monday morning teas will improve morale by 7% with this immediate change to take effect!

I think you'll find that this is where we are at in terms of staff in racing, its difficult enough to find someone in the public domain anywhere with any interest in racing let alone within a TAB, I certainly haven't met any the odd time I've been to a TAB. How can you expect the TAB to have such knowledgeable staff?, when if you contact NZTR you'll find very few there have any idea about racing! and that really is their job.

You are right and this attitude is prevalent across NZ racing in general. There are a number of tracks across the country that would be better kept than closed just from a quality of racing perspective. One of the main reasons we will be absolutely stuffed in a few years time. The worse part about it is they haven't even been allowed to survive on their own merits, they have been cut without any real analysis of our situation and worse still cut by people running racing who know f$%k all about it! Or as is BS case allowed themselves to be led a Mary dance by those with significant self interest priorities.

Be fair to say Probabeel is the best horse the TA machine have trained, certainly better than the other 2 mares with some very questionable G1s by their name. She is undoubtedly from the very top draw based on her Aus wins, she would have utterly dominated in NZ as the other two did,but has performed at the very highest class instead. Her win yesterday her best imo , the way she fought back is only for the good ones.
-
I've never seen anything like BC, the power, presence the dominance of her wins, her like I do not think I'll see again in my lifetime. Never been more excited watching a horse that I didn't own run than her! None more deserving of the word Freak than her imo. A Winx vs. Sunline over a mile would have been some race, not sure Winx could have run the mare down either.

Wow this stable has had some terribly bad luck, what with this and the positive around the xmas / new years period that was just an innocent mistake. I do hope their luck changes for the better and they can get everything sorted out for themselves and normal service resumes afterall they must be beside themselves with all this going on.
