  1. Perhaps by Aus stallion standards that could be the case, probably more for the breed to race crowd over there , I'd venture to say any of their sires would be well placed at stud in this country.
  2. Given he will likely stand for 5 or 6 times the amount of these other two you'd expect the quality of mare and the leg up at the sales he will get to be of considerable advantage to him.
  3. Real Low Grade stuff and they still racing for $15k !
  4. It'll keep getting worse till everyday folk realise it's all part of the plan, by then it's probably gonna be too late.
  5. Too close to the Aus Easter Sales perhaps? & in the way the calendar is now the Auckland Carnival , meaning the Million night doesn't stand out as much or kills the rest of the Auckland Carnival. Could give the Wellington Carnival back some of its lustre though perhaps, assuming of course the Million night would still link in with the sale.
  6. Horse numbers may not have been an issue if the fools had left well enough alone.
  7. And therein lies the issue all along, there has never been any justification for it either financial or from operational benefits to the industry , just agendas and self interest at play.
  8. I'll have a chocolate fish on this one being the better of the two.
  9. How many times has he said this .... " I thought this is a vintage year, a vintage crop of yearlings, absolutely top quality,” he said. " They have a marketing department get some new material.
  10. Agree and those major centres don't really need a industry race meeting this time of year , the people want to go to the country or holiday venues so for goodness sake why don't we cater for them. The two worse things to happen to NZracing BS & his venue plan.
  11. Yes and they say she still preferred PM by 40% is it?
  12. Don't worry JB there are some people here in NZ who still think the industry isn't operated out of self interest and its all fair and that the cartel doesn't exist. I say to them go race , breed , join a racing club (preferably outside the top 5) or perhaps try to train one yourself then come back and say boo!
  13. Yep I've given up on them, its not even average coverage its gotten that bad.
  14. I think he has made a great choice if it is his decision, training horses in NZ outside of the TA bubble is not for the faint hearted and even with the backing of an entity like TA training succesfully in Aus at those major tracks is probably the toughest gig in the world. He sounds switched on enough to understand all that.
  15. Just when you think it can't get any worse, NZTR are mentioned too many times in that report for my future level of comfort.
  16. His enthusiasm has probably diminished considerably and he is probably riding on the coat tails of the incredibly gifted Sweeney in the CD 😃 , but you'd have to agree it's got to be hardwork doing nzracing with any sort of genuine enthusiasm. 😉
  17. I'm like him I thought the leader was home, it certainly looked it, you must have a very good eye JB ; 0
  18. I thought the likes of Stratford were decommisioned as a race track and Hawera was soon to follow? I guess it goes to show how completely worthless BS Venue Plan has been.
  19. Like NZracing it doesn't sound like they have much of a future?
  20. Is the grass made of plastic?
  21. Help to make sneakers in one of the sweat shops in China???
  22. What's going on with all the Police/ Security guards at Te Rapa amongst the crowd ? Are they expecting the unvaxxed to do a run on the place? Is it the new border? No IWI available on the day? There to stop Jamie Richards making a run for HK early? Putting the track back in between races?
  23. What are the odds they will get through the entire race day?
