  1. Book 2 yesterday surely an example of what happens when incompetent leadership within the industry kick the grassroots to the kerb one too many times? I'm sure it'll be all blamed on Covid though. Hopefully for the hardworking vendors there is some recovery in the next 2 days.
  2. Probably something to do with the sales, everything seems to revolve around them these days.
  3. Yes appears as though that amazing stud has got another one right.
  4. 6 of the top 15 sold to date are by Aus. based sires and 5 by Savabeel doesn't take a rock scientist . Also a real worry for NZ has to be finding an heir apparent to Savabeel.
  5. I can't get my head around why anyone their right mind would be paying these prices to race a horse in NZ?
  6. Yes , I also noticed that betting figures will be interesting. All in all a dull nondescript Derby Day to say the least, expecting Cup day to look even worse.

    ATC. - RIP!!

Six races with no 3rd divvy says it all. Four races at Awapuni with no 3rd divvy yesterday also. Gallops code will get where harness is soon enough if it continues to be run like it is. At least their mandates have protected the industry from Covid - LMAO!
  8. I'm in , the luck variable will be very high if I get a divvy .
  9. I remember the duels well, despite all the advantages and benefits offered the PD , Col more than held his own.
  10. Top man, stood a stallion from memory Painted Black?
  11. Yawn ...more of the same really. I'm convinced nothing will change for the better until some of these positions are actually filled by grassroots participants.
  12. How so ? Can't see them doing a roaring trade on the kiwi product in Aus.
  13. If they weren't allowed to operate pokies in the agencies , they would all be gone over night - simple as that.
  14. Appears as though she has scared a few away.
  15. More than a few in that boat across NZ.
  16. If they do , thye'll have something else lined up, this being the type of world we now live in.
  17. All ruined in the name of non existent progress!
  18. So Aaron White has been a close contact , does that require the industry to notify all participants involved of that exposure? Odd that Simon had the week off but a commentator had to be found at short notice?
  19. Couldn't agree more, I think as Freda pointed out many aren't probably finding it to be the fun it once was. It's almost as though we have hired an elite bunch of doom merchants to destroy the industry.
  20. Does it really matter who owns what now ? With the new legislation , doesn't NZTR have ultimate control over club assets at any rate?
  21. I found a positive and of course it had to be a horse - La Crique.
  22. Surely if two commentators have gone down (surmising here obviously) the industry has been notified of the close contact situation and appropriate measures put in place? I'm picking this would have a fairly significant impact from an exposure perspective? I mean the industry is taking the Covid situation very seriously , mandating it, exposing persons who have broken the rules, doing regular testing etc. Surely if any one of these individuals has the virus an industry wide annoucement should therefore be made? We certainly wouldn't want our double vaxxed industry participants safety comprimised?
