  1. Only 1 new sire represented (Pariah) a bit dissapointing.
  2. I don't agree with every thing he writes, but he has got BS accurately assessed . I have spoken with many in the industry who wonder what he has done since being here , what he has done that is positive I mean.
  3. Not to mention it was the plan all along and then they can just leave it somewhere and negate any opposition to their agenda.
  4. Terribly sad, the GN will not last in time, especially without the iconic hill, just another Steeplechase imo
  5. They would be better taking a serious look at Aus, at least they can manage the racing while all the shenanigans goes on.
  6. Once again showing the ineptness of our leadership in this country and that the plan (what plan really) has never really existed, they just make it up and are so incompetent they don't even realise by making changes somewhere it has ramifications somewhere else or further down the line.
  7. You don't want them intervening , they already have in closing down venues etc. What you need is trainers to step up.
  8. No that hasn't changed, it is more BGP than Racing.com unfortunately for me just too much talk about their punting club or whatever it is, I just wanna listen to the races or a trainer etc. I know the simplicity of such a request will never likely return but one can dream I guess.
  9. One thing from yesterday they need to work on , is to stop cutting out the race call to celebrate a punting win or talk about their punts, not sure if other feel the same but I simply don't care about their punts but I do want to hear where the horse I backed has finished or what's running on etc!
  10. You could possibly put another 4 or 5 riders on the mounts she gets & they would also be country leading rider.
  11. I got $1k , so if I can get her for $500 she is off to The Alphonso! https://plus.gavelhouse.com/?fbclid=IwAR3Gi-tLIgsq8OKG-Fmowkm5oPZEMiPsvW3MV4ywA4YLk6Uyd_UbJeCL_18
  12. They have plenty in their favour, no room for excuses. Unfortunately with so many horses spread far & wide they are having to put up with some average rides from some average riders like the rest of us usually do. They have so much fire power it'll only be a temporary thing and there will be a big day coming their way sooner rather than later, no one can be in doubt of that.
  13. 2 SI gems & the other(Fonzie) a short trip from where she is now (Cambridge), Raffles Farm.
  14. 1st season to The Alfonso , 2nd season to The King then 3rd season stretch the budget and send her to Raise The Flag should give ya a good idea of how commercial she is.
  15. Silly if she doesn't move to where the racetracks are paved with gold (AWT gold that is) and does 5 years in NZ! She will never get a better opportunity to move here or possibly the opportunity will no longer exist .
  16. True but to balance that out - she won them in NZ.
  17. Was it 9?
  18. Good mare & I wonder where she sits in the list of good horses n NZ over the past few decades, probably dominated when our G1 racing was (well still is & getting worse) at its worse and barring from memory a Group win in OZ? Certainly By Fastnet Rock out of Zabeel mare there would be plenty of interest as you say.
  19. Kia Ora Whanau! I'm sure like me everyone is enjoying the wall to wall coverage we are getting from Luuuurve Racing on this very special language week we all share in New Zealand! Couldn't help but notice the irony neigh on ignorance displayed by this organisation (NZTR) in an interview with the GM running Otaki Racing. What is your role at Ōtaki-Māori Racing Club? And what do you enjoy most about your mahi? Initially I was contracted in 2017 to assist the Club through a number of challenges. Since then I have taken on the mantle of General Manager and oversee all racing operations, as well as the formulation and implementation of a number of non-racing projects to ensure the longevity and sustainability of our historic Club. The thing I enjoy the most in this environment is ensuring the legacy of our tupuna (ancestors), all previous committee members, staff and officials, is safeguarded, and that the efforts they made in the past are not wasted. 20. Cause TA dont put up with any old shenanigans!
  21. Time for her to move to NZ and ride ??
  22. For sure they will do it here.
  23. I'd venture to say most trainers are more concerned about where they are sending their horse (track) than the actual stakes on offer always being the inducement they are supposed to be. We may be seeing the beginning of the impact stupid decisions have had on the venues available. or we may just be seeing a covid bottleneck , I hope we are just seeing the change in timing of the HB carnival having an impact but I'm not confident of that either.
  24. Nothing will distract my steely gaze from Flemington this weekend, some really interesting racing: R2 - Tutukaka & He's Exceptional R4 - great race R5 -Ayrton R6 - Instant Celebrity & Mystic Journey R7 - Away Game , Begoodtoyamother amongst others R8 - another great race R9 - Young Werther,Warning , Sherwood Forest
  25. You guys really are stuck in the past , having you all heard that stakes have increased in NZ!
