  1. It's a very interesting question and I don't have the answer , one would awesome it would be priced into the daily rate?
  2. When there doesn't have to be any commercial or operational analysis behind any of the decisions they make then nothing does Business case these guys are you for real CS?
  3. NZTR the "virtue signallers" of nz racing.
  4. Would he have been able to slingshot her though? the whole race turns out differently if he is placed somewhere else. That filly (Bonham) is very good and I think she deserves some credit despite the gorgeous ride Allpress gave her.
  5. Amazing win, still can't see how he wins on the turn to this day and watched it several times. THis is also amazing:
  6. I agree its a rock and hard place really as to how racing in this country is developing. What confuses me is how a 4 times G1 winning mare can be effectively rated the same as a G2 winning gelding on the rating system. i.e. Avantage 109 , TM 105 , mares allowance in Open handicap carry the same weight.
  7. JUst watched the 2yo race, I see what you mean. There really is no better place for racing than Aus.
  8. Nice to hear, plenty of people happy with their Embellish stock. He is one I'd like to see kick some goals.
  9. He has run out of 3yo options outside of the staying classics if he wants to make a stallion based on that, of course there is always Aus.
  10. It's pretty simple in NZ, doesn't matter who is running, you have to have a party if you are going to get a crowd. Most of NZ have no idea what they are looking at. Its kind of sad when the personnel that run NZ racing don't realise that you don't built crowds and support for the sport on days like this, its the smaller community type days that do that.
  11. No idea if they are saying that, he is head and shoulders above the rest in NZ. Probably in Top 5 in Aus/NZ, imagine if he didn't have weight challenges.
  12. Yes I thought Titled was poor, looking for 1200m by E&E , you'd still expect to be competitive over that trip.
  13. All class that woman !
  14. Yes I heard the same, I think they rate him, JR starting to talk like the cunning trainers of the past.
  15. A prick but did a pretty good job on the track and at stud ; 0 Good to hear some tales about him.
  16. Yes you would think this guy would have interested WS, but perhaps they are still recovering from the Rock n Pops!
  17. I agree, given his race record and pedigree I thought he would be perfect for NZ stud , surely. But it seems to be the way TA are going Xtravagant, Heroic Valour & now this guy all standing in Aus. Doesn't say much for NZ racing does it, his fee will be interesting.
  18. Off to Aus Cool Az A beel https://www.breednet.com.au/news/12716/newhaven-park-announce-exciting-new-stallion?fbclid=IwAR3-F44YTsDZd84X7vvfVpMnVf0LMBrhpIABar5uyJ-CiRpCX0kC6jVTzxU Things so bad here now , they don't even bother to try to stand them in NZ?
  19. Not sure I'd agree with that assertion, this season she has had the same number of wins as all of last season to date. Certainly hasn't picked up a big race yet , but the winners are coming. Last season certainly appeared to be the case, but that seems to be turning around now. As an aside people have to reaslise with a lot of trainers also , a lot of things have changed in the industry and not for the better, its becoming more and more a game for bigger stables and not what it was for the smaller players in it.
  20. You just can't help the sport in this country.
  21. Did the livestock test positive for cobalt as well? and if so was their excuse that they were in the paddock with a G1 horse?
  22. I wonder if a few of the runners in the Telegraph will have beefies with them in their boxes today? G1 racing requires one to pull out all stops.
  23. What Brando in the beefies paddock tonight?
  24. But they didn't cheat did they? They had a derby horse sharing a paddock with some beefies the night before the derby , a totally normal thing for any stable to do with horses, particularly heading into a G1. So why would anyone want them to fail? I'm inferring if they were caught cheating, not the completely innocent totally understandable normal course of events that went on at the O'Sullivan barn. Of course I'm one of the persons suffering from jealousy and tall poppy syndrome, cause I only wish I had one good enough to stick in the beefies paddock!
  25. What an exaggeration if they have be found to have cheated, how so?
