  1. which is a learned skill, takes some longer to master, similar with riding a race out! he is still a young fella!
  2. it looked to be testing! especially for this time of the year...
  3. all things considering, I thought it was a top run on what looked like a testing track,.. hope she recovers well
  4. Yet you post nothing of your 'earned' success! You are always reflecting in Others hard work, trying to get under their halo* eh! ps. if brown nosing was a sport..... *halo effect
  5. All LEFT cause they *knew* that there was no future for them here in NZ!!
  6. sigh, if I didn't have a rather large collection of racing photo shit!! I be gone! currently I find a Saturday in front of Trackside often turns into a waterboarding session... rave over...
  7. umm, I wasn't impressed, how we did get to see solid footage in the birdcage before Cox, but then (doh!) suddenly, it flicked back to 'live' and they were just about all loaded in the stalls! No look at them coming around to stalls etc.. sigh
  8. in layman's terms please?
  9. the Excitement Builds! weeeeeeeeeeeeee
  10. I so hope that they give us a decent lead in into the race! I have a fifty bonus from a mug bet to use! Anyway! Always a exciting race! I recon I would have bet into this race more that any other in me 50 years as punter! A race that so often sorts the form out once and for all! Those 'foreign' horse certainly add a interesting twist! I actually like that its a small field!
  11. First off, I don't know the personal/political views of various people that appeared in the launch video! What I do know, published facts, of who all the Large donators were for NZ pollical parties, many prominent racing people gave generously, as is there right! The three parties which got the $$$ have through their shared leadership, they have directly attacked (so called privileged) team brown! Do Tainui have any decent land left for them to get into breeding?
  12. I keep flicking between channels! Total piss off for me! we get two minutes of the crowd singing instead of seeing the horses around at the start!!! Is it me? this ever grind of race on race on race, sigh, all becoming rather a slog! is it best to leave the punting to the younger players!! wondering if time really could be spent better elsewhere...
  13. Not unreasonable, but rather difficult! Surly the big city clubs are in a better position to deliver? Seriously, more and more, who would and to put their hands up to be a Track Manager
  14. with respect, no comment!
  15. are a betting man? fact, a record amount of money was donate to the 3 parties on the right, record amounts for both 22 and 23... all the big donations are on public record! Many have connections to 'racing industry'...
  16. not at all... fact. Perhaps they would be even far worse without that 'help'. Another fact CS, when racing was at is 'best' the NZ Working Class had way more disposable $ that today.. Sigh, depends what stats you want to improve? Propaganda so rules now! who really knows!
  17. lol, didn't realise I was... Big on Everest! re NZK, after watching the big event where they delivered the Indigenous background to the trophy, waxing lyrical about its deep merits... wow! So many in that room have been big funders of the current lot in parliaments! along with their anti team brown policies..
  18. sigh, I got to work the camera there back in 87/88? The Avondale Cup nights then were Very Exciting! The Club as really 'active' and what was happening on any raceday! The Lights when from being brilliant to a near mill stone! I recall the first every night meeting, 'we' really didn't know if our film in the camera was fast enough for the new night lights, thankfully is was! A good mate riding the winner of the Cup helped!
  19. tick taken to the max in All account$ a couple of juicy races to follow!
  20. wow, completely opposite for me~ can't wait for it

  22. lol, we have a large veggie garden, our style, permaculture, we have very different water uses for the 20 odd plots, our front, north facing is starting to 'kick on',... even after the 150mm rain the other day! Back, still heavy 10 Each Track has its own history, its own problems, its own challenges.. each with their own Economics to try and deal with. Its own intellectual capital re local knowledge for each track, though I'm sure that is now at a historical low for some many parts of 'the industry'. Dear I also say it, each Club has their own way of dealing with it! (pretending that part of the track is Ok, when not!) that be another story!
