So does this mean you cant bet on the NZ TAB when in Australia? Or anywhere else?

PUSHKA (D Danis) - Finished a distant last. Connections were advised that a warning would be placed on the gelding’s racing performance. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which did not reveal any abnormality. Good.
-
I agree all is clearly not right with Verstappen who showed a lot of early ability so would not be surprised if that was her last race. But Pushka is a 10yo gelding beaten 55 lengths last in a very poor field and has been last or next to last in its last six starts and wont its only race four years ago which was the last win for its aged owner/Trainer George as well, who has had just two winners in the last nine years. Some people will say its his horse he can do what he likes but this is the sort of thing that the tree huggers who want racing banned will climb all over. Not to mention horses that are so slow they cant keep up are a danger to the other runners and riders.
-
Can the stipes order a horse to be retired? If so times up surely for poor old Pushka and silly old George.
-
Cannot recall another Savabeel Hurdler but stand to be corrected.
-
Better still remove the greyhounds period.

Possibly not by my teenage daughter thought it was just awful as well. The Grand Tour is this new thing which really doesnt seem to be anything new at all.
-
Has anyone else heard the absolutely appalling radio ad for Cup week? It sounds like some jingle to sell nappies out of the 1950's which i guess is not surprising given Mills and Rowe both seem to have been in their jobs since then and wouldnt know how to spell the word marketing.

Not many other stables have a business model built on attracting about $10m a year in third party investment and then using that investment to promote its brand, its corporate colours and its figurehead. Maybe Walker just wants to leave it to outstanding horses like Imperatriz to do all the talking. 🤷♂️

I only had a small share in a slow Te Akau horse some time ago but Jamie Richards would always return my hello at the races and take time to chat. I said hello to Mark Walker at the races recenely and he completely ignored me. He obviously had no idea who i was but thats actually the point i could have been one of their biggest owners. Jamie Richards was a class act that is from first impressions is not being followed.

Lickity Split - bigger and stronger and looks the goods Brando - two stone lighter and thrashed. The most over rated horse in NZ? Kelsey Hannan - this lass can ride. Kenny Rae - the new King of the North

I stopped posting there years ago when Molloy owned the site and knew personal details and used it for his soap box to stand on which still left him looking up at just about everybody else and trying to put them down. Purcell, Archer, Poppelwell, Ivil, James etc etc the list is endless of the people he abused. The new owner lets him keep doig it and shuts down anyone who gives it back. its typical bully behaviour and nothing but cowards.

Well put. Taiki was much closer connected to any number of well respected and better informed people.
-
Not to mention the recent 12 month ban from all NZ racecourses. The timing of his withdrawal is interesting and the reasons questionable when there is so much in the news about about bullying and this angry little man has more victims of his online assualts than LIsa lewis clients have had happy endings.

There is no rating low enough for Glenda Hughes. Absolute stain on the Industry as was her lap dog John Allen.
-
I may be nuts and hope you are right but if the the ten currently highest rated horses in NZ were in the same 10 horse field the average age wold be over 7 the average rating would be 103 and the best possible average for the first four home would be 105. Unless Imperatriz is the next melody belle and there are 10 around just as good nomates is 100% right our G.1 races are doomed.
-
It is inconceivable that any Gr.1 race in NZ next season will have an average rating of 115 for the first four home. Look at the Railway this year. Three of the four best sprinters in NZ were the first three home and the 4th horse rated 101 but the average was only 100. A week earlier the Zabeel classic only raced 102. You are right we are going to end up like Italy.
-
Average rating of 69. Can you imagine a worse Open Class "Cup" field? I haven't had a bet since May. Winter Racing is horrible.
-
That would take leadership. And so far with the first 100 days more than half over for new CEO Bruce Sharrock we are yet to see any. Groundhog day indeed.
-
The Old Boys Network is clearly protecting former CEO Alasdair Robertson if he currently remains active on behalf of RACE. The word Vile comes to mind when considering the behaviour that led to his resignation.

Has the RIB really changed? Paul Harris charged with Animal Cruelty
Peanut replied to Chief Stipe's topic in Galloping Chat
Guilty of this or not, given his past "misdemeanours" Is it appropriate that NZTR be promoting Paul Harris on Social media? -
Another Ardern arse licker. Is he any relation to Rob McAnulty?

Glenda cannot be classified as a woman. But was defnitely a massive mistake. One of many at the time.
