People left RC because of 1. The inequity, Molloy could abuse people, but as soon as they returned fire, they got warned or moderated 2. If you said something the owner did not like, you got moderated. I got moderated at one stage for pointing out that Chris Thomson rang his MC comp and got 120 entries. I don't visit there very often these days, but I understand both issues have been addressed.........but too late for many

I've never claimed to have this great knowledge and system for analysing thoroughbred performance and therefore being able to pick winners, I wish I could, I'd be out there punting Not about me A person who has made such claims, is being asked to put their money where their mouth is, all in a good cause, so some charity can benefit to the tune of $100

Alright then Over the next few weeks, you pick 10 races in advance, PM your pick and reason why to Doug or N1MUE for each race as it comes up. They will publish after each race, so you cannot accuse anyone of benefitting from your expertise, and therefore use that as a reason to decline You are not doing it against anyone, you are simply displaying your technical ability with respect to thoroughbreds by selecting horses in races of your choice

I have a solution for you. You do your picks for each race at Te Aroha, along with a short spiel as to why the horse will win. PM them to either Doug or N1MUE before R1, both are entirely trustworthy people. They will publish them at the finish of R10. That way, nobody can suck your brain(I'm tempted to comment further but will resist)

And you will not accept my challenge of putting up selections for Te Aroha on Saturday, and regardless of anything that has gone down prior, it is for a good cause($100 donation to charity), yet still you wriggle and squirm, as you will do again, in response to this post

For a moment, one could be forgiven for thinking you were describing Racechat. I find the situation very sad, considering the amount of work I put in, helping to build up BOAY. I'm afraid it is not going to change though. the view is, that it is a reflection on the posters, not on the site

Just what is the problem Thommo Someone supposedly so well versed in the intricacies of thoroughbred form assessment, should find no fear in putting up pre-race picks or their own market values. I challenge you to put up such for this Saturday's Te Aroha meeting, should be the most well read thread on here in awhile. Even a few of the regulars could do the same to support you

You mean like Racechat, minus you, but unlike Racechat, we've only been going 6 weeks, and slowly but surely building. Quite a few posters put up their picks pre-race as well, which I have yet to see you do

It's simply called competition, usually it improves things, the lack of it in the case of the TAB, is a case in point for the opposite. RC improved it's act when competition from BOAY came along Sure, we would like a whole lot of new members to join, because we believe we can keep a site free of squabbling and personal abuse, with sensible and respectful moderation,.which means people(Weasel) can pursue their love of talking about racing in a relaxed and fun manner, BUT people are free to join whatever site they want, they can actually join all 3 sites, that has never been an issue to us

We have had 500 posts over 60 threads on Thoroughbred in the 5 weeks we have been going, no threads closed down. 2 mildly personally abusive posts, both were asked to leave it out, and the posts ditched, no more trouble. Harness is there, with a few posts, but just make sure you read the last line of the Welcome message, because that is what we are sticking to, and you are all living proof of what can happen if we don't

It was inevitable You know what to do Just pointing out the last line of our welcome message though "If you want to generally cause trouble, not respect others, and jeopardise the good spirit that we are trying to build, then probably better to give it a miss, as the site is probably not for you."

Well sit back and watch Doug, because that is how we intend to run The Race Place. Other ways to achieve that, than by just banning everyone, although some never get the message, so there is no other choice. I won't respond to your little bit of sarcasm Jasper, as we have a no sniping policy on The Race Place, bugger it just call it TRP, saves the fingers
