and don't forget the RB have this enormous backing, called overheads, if I recall, they were heading for 218 million this year. I wonder what percentage of those are customer service and IT development. I know they used to have a very large Culture department

You guys could just become like me, no TAB account(it was lethal with one), so no hassles other than having to navigate around the new site which is slow and cumbersome. One problem, they have closed so many branches, that it is quite hard to find a TAB these days. Oh well, save a bit of money. Perhaps I am going to have to bite the bullet and open an offshore account

How does all this interact with the reco in the Messara Report to outsource the commercial activities of the TAB to an international wagering operator. If this is going to happen, why did they bother spending 50 mil, why were they allowed to spend 50 million?

Finding it really cumbersome trying to navigate around the site. The back button takes you right back, click on the downward arrow to get prices in order and firstly it goes to highest at the top, no results for this meeting last year, can't click on a jockey or trainer to see what else they have or are riding Lots of little stuff On the positive side, I like the fluctuations column.

The true test will be comparative data between the Trentham meeting today and 12 months ago, plus ongoing data. Only problem, we no longer have the data for 12 months ago, and we won't get any for today. Transparency only applies to others

Some comparative data for those that are interested, remember we are competing The big thread on each site has been the TAB re-launch BOAY 399 posts(nothing from Thomass to inflate the figs), 8177 views RC 240 posts, 12746 views.(note that the thread was up a day earlier) Draw your own conclusions, but not bad for a site that did not exist 9 months ago. 6 months ago the BOAY figures would have been lucky to be a quarter of what they are now

For NZ(not for Aus admittedly), it takes about 10 seconds to find what meetings were on and results for Boxing Day 2013

NZTR website has all these results, going back quite a way, and in an easier to find format

Could we list all the aspects that need attention, on a new thread, no bitching, just what needs doing. I'll start 1. The results page for a meeting is cumbersome. Need to be able to page up or down, once you are in to see all results for that meeting, without having to go back to the header to click on each race number

Very easy to go to the PDF section and print off form sheets in whatever format you want, there are about 6 options. Mainly look like Turf Digest or a racebook

Saw that Maxy If they were really serious about their customers though, Freda should have been able to ring them, and they would have walked her through it, by them viewing the screen you are viewing, and guiding you through each step. Obviously entering the password part is blanked out

If they had any focus on customer service, they would have sorted it out for you at their end and given you a $50 credit for the inconvenience It was their problem, you were fine until they made a change. We are with Farmside as our telecommunications service provider. If we have a problem, we ring them up, no wait, and they walk us through the solution over the phone....that is customer service. I hope they read all this and sort it out for you

Should be in the Racing section, top header 'Futures' No options there at the moment. Don't mind some of these other jokers, they were dropped on their heads as babies, so they get a bit cranky

Another little grizzle, in the Punters Lounge, the Shark's tips are not date sequenced. Wed stuff on the first page, you have to go to the second page to find the Thurs(Wanganui gallops) and Tues stuff mixed in together

It would be a good time Bernard Saundry, to re-introduce the weekly wagering and cumulative figures on the NZTR website.........you have them Interested posters can then ascertain for themselves, just what difference this new platform has made to turnover

I hope they keep that PDF form. So useful for getting a quick overview of the fields on the day, and includes course and distance stats at a glance

One suggestion, are you observing TAB? The Futures fixed odds, once you get into say the Telegraph win, you can just keep scrolling down to get all the other FO races, without having to revert back to a menu BUT, with Results, you have to keep scrolling back up to the header to get the next race. Be useful if it was the same as for Futures, where you can just click on R1, then page down for all the results at that meeting, while still having the option of going back to the header for a specific race

Can't get online with my little Samsung mobile Not too bad now I have adjusted the zoom(thanks Chief) on the desk top. I guess they have done it, to move to a format and presentation that is in keeping with overseas sites, so that punters have a format they are familiar with Big question then, why would punters around the world use the TAB over the other betting sites available, what is the TAB's competitive advantage?
