The fella was manager of the country racing council, and then some fool/s idiot/s appointed Saundry? For Gods sake did no one do their due diligence? did no one google Saundry? did no-one pick up on the Kate Goodrich fiasco? the bullying allegations? and then we have Alasdair Robertson? did no-one google him?........WTF.........and now all the bleating when many of us knew years ago what was about to happen, and those of us that spoke up and they [Petone] circled the wagons. I mooted militant action was the only saviour and course of action, like we did here in QLD and held the Racing Queensland [QRIC] and Government to account.......it worked, strength in numbers you see, and a true consensus, however there was also a will...a strong will.......I found in NZ it was fractured, broken in fact, with so many pushing their own barrow and of course when that happens a culture evolves, a rotten culture and now the sore is festering. Racing in NZ is in stage 4 cancer, little chance of surviving unless a life saving operation is performed, chemo not woking and radiation is of little help, so cut out the cancer, and that starts at the Taj Mahal........ The owners and breeders in NZ are toothless tigers, the trainers association are a hopeless rabble controlled by the northern mafia and the only winners are the jockeys, yet they too would benefit by a reformed NZTR......the programming is woeful, the benchmark system is not fit for purpose and we should revert to what served us all so well for decades..... I only met Jillo in Sydney when he had Tycoon Lil staying with us out at Rosehill, a character, a very nice fella, and he told me some stories re BF Deac, Takanini secrets he called them, he lived a full life I would imagine, always seemed happy, if he wasn't he hid it well.
