Race 6 , a Group 3 , won by a horse that could barely keep up before striking Grimson recently . Swayzee now with 5 out of 5 in fast times .. and the nz Hope's horse Loyalist getting home fast late for 4th as well.... quite astounding.. what is happening .... The 2nd horse is really Robbie Morris but for some reason ?? has had a run or 2 under Grants name training for QLD , so the QLD team pick up the 6 points accordingly. $53,040 No NR. RBD. PACERS. Of course 'Swayzee' wins ... how? is Tim Butt a completely useless trainer or something? who couldn't get this horse to run a place in 8 mid class runs in average Qld company this year . 🙄 Grimson wins easily with it , backed in to $4 second fav in an Open Class G3 feature against Interdominion Championship runners and placegetters. Cam Hart is an outstanding driver but come oooonnn . .... how?

Nzer 'Manhattan ' unfortunately pulls up in the big mares race the 5th . From the deep south of Nz 'Braeview Kelly' circles the field to run 2nd to the local favourite Uptown Beachgirl. So team Nz picks up another solid 6 points for that second placing for Jack Trainor to have a big lead over Qld and NSW. Ant's didn't get in the money in the trot race 4 with Hammers Law , but QLD picks up 2 pts for Zealous Spur 4th. Points Update after 5 races (3 to go) Team NZ Galah/ Brodie/ Walt 22 points (Trainor 2nd with Braeview Kelly ) Nz have massive lead now. Team QLD Gamma/ Blackie 8 points Team NSW Paleface Adios / Chief 2 points ( a 'State of Origin' like performance ??? 😁)

The South East Derby has a big finish as the hot favourite for the Kiwi lad Jack Trainor gets nailed right on the line. Also for Team New Zealand >>> Anthony Butt picks up another 4 points looping the field to sit parked once again , with 'Dougs Platter'. (Chief probably wanted that one in his team 😄 ) The Queenslander rep 'Sure Thing Captain' should of won but driven poorly last quarter and finishing hard on the back of the first 2 horses. 1 ON DEADLINE NZ Fr1 1 Nathan Turnbull Nathan Turnbull $ 6.50 BAY COLT 3 by SPORTSWRITER USA out of JUSTSOYOUKNOW (NZ) (WASHINGTON VC USA) Owner(s): S (Sam) Treccase Breeder(s): E Steele, B R Steele 2 NATURALLY GIFTED Fr2 2 Jack Trainor Jack Trainor HFHD $ 1.90 fav 3 DOUGS PLATTER Sr3 10 Geoff Webster Anthony Butt 3.9m $ 5.50 4 SURE THING CAPTAIN Fr6 6 Shannon Price Adam Sanderson 4.1m $ 11.00 Points Update after 3 races Team NZ Galah/ Brodie/ Walt 16 points (Trainor 2nd and Ant's running a close 3rd for 10 pts haul !! ) Team QLD Gamma/ Blackie 6 points (just 2 points on the unlucky 4th horse ) Team NSW Paleface Adios / Chief 2 points

Bloody cheating New South Welshmen . Luke trains the No 1 horse in the SE Oaks race 2. But drives the No 2 horse for another trainer , to Try and beat It ?????????? madness that's allowed to happen. anyway , he gets 2 points for Paleface Adios and Chief running 4th. in Qld Oaks prelude. Well about to jump now that Caulfield and Brisbane Lions have finished. No takers on the teams during the day.... so lets allocate >>>>> Team Nz at Albion to ''The Galah, The 'Brodster' and 'Walt'. (grand old nz horse and horse-person supporters) Team NSW to poster 'Paleface Adios', as is his old homestate and the winner of 108 races , and 'Chief Stipe' who is still maiden in BOAY comps and now a chance to break the Duck maybe 😂 Team QLD being supported by Gammalite and drafting in 'Blackie' , as the Champ Blacks A Fake (72 wins) is a great old Queenslander and Grant Dixon did drive him once , in place of Nat . And won with him of course. Good luck Gentlemen !!! may the best horse win lol. and go HOT TO TROT !! for Mark Jones.

Great to see the Nz horse and nz trainer Mark Jones having a crack at the 150k 3 and 4 year old group 1 trot tonight at Albion. (on at 10.20pm nz time) HOT TO TROT (what a great name ) the only Nz horse to turn up tonight sadly. The Constellations Carnival with the Group 1 Rising Sun also on tonight. guess no one is beating LEAP TO FAME in that. Ex-pat kiwis Anthony Butt and Jack Trainor have turned up with a few horses/ drives to give Nz some representation .

Shes only 25-26 ish and who doesn't party at that age 😁 . unfortunately even partying while the lock down was on with fellow jocks Zahra, current boyfriend Melham, Gaudray and the now injured Eathan Brown. all got a long suspension each. for having a party . world gone mad . former party boyfriend of many years been winning the Everest lately with Giga Kick who has won near 10 million . Clayton Douglas . probably pass your IQ test. his shout at next party anyway !!! 😂🍻🍹🍾 party girl ready for action !! -
Loyalist sure to be tested by Open class horses like Expensive Ego this week (maybe) Grimson also picking up SWAYZEE dirt cheap off ex-pat kiwis Tim and Ants Butt, because it had lost all form this year racing in Queensland (8 unplaced runs) Grimson picks it up and it goes Bang..bang..bang bang .... 4 in a row like a freak show. Now taking on Open Class ??? give me a break lol..... can't work out what this guy does to make them jump out of the ground like they do 🙄 here's the Open class race this week .... surely Loyalist and Swayzee are beaten in this lol....... $53,040 No NR. Best of Luck matey . possibly EW with the 2nd row draw and all . Barry Purdon sure to close drawn well with GANDALF in that race. Been knocking at door for a win. I'm on at 10-1 for the 'Big Barry Treble' . Ilsa's Son very hard to beat from the pole in the first race soon for Crystal. Into Gandalf in the 4th , into the handy pacer Montana DJ in the 7th race. Barry's three horses sure to go close , Racing well at Alex park and as there is a bit more depth at Alexandra park compared to here at Cambridge today.

Yep, Skipper Dale one of the class acts racing on his day 🏆🏆 . and seen here winning one of his 2 x Easter Cup's ( in a quick 4.05 for the 2 miles too) What a great stayer.! (and was the first kiwi home in the Addington Interdominion too that year ) 4th 😎.
-
What's a passing lane around pole markers again? 😂 these latest drivers don't know how lucky they have it (with all the inside room they get these days) Much more of a 'challenge' trying to push out in the last lap from trail, 3 back or 4 back fence , all to the tune of the 'sweet' sounds of rivals screaming "me legs, me legs !! watch out for me legs" or even the sweet Grinding hollow grating sound ' of your wheel hub scraping along the hub rail like a nail on a blackboard as you attempt the fruitless search for a rails run home (or you're just hanging like Ned kelly lol) . 😂🤣 New Brighton $75k Television mile or something like that.
-
Here's a win on the mainland in a feature at the main track for you then , for our Northern horse 😄. Yes a handy young reinsman Peter Ferguson doing the steering there, having just won the Interdominion Junior drivers title too. A star in the making. yes no over check (well spotted) as advised by Colin Butler . 1987 on the winning post I see too ( you're on the right track then again mate ) Don't think you'll get the colours though. Anybody remember Who is this stylish horse then ? (horse inside him here pretty handy one too 😁 )
-
Great effort mate. Nothing like coming across an old Nz Cup runner on the 'wander up the road' lol , to give a pat and lead back home. good on you SA for looking after the old boy 🏆. Young Charles had a real crack on the track too . as well as siring the champ 'Young Quinn'. A gallant 3rd to Cecil's 1st Cup winner here , named Van Dieman , (named after Cecil's homeland) and the great Johnny Globe seen in the photo below running 2nd. Johnny Globe winning the Cup himself a year or 2 later in a WORLD Record 4.07 from 48 yards behind. And 2nd was the Gallant 'Young Charles' and only a Neck margin behind from the champion 'Johnny G' once again...... so close yet so far......
-
A hard one you say. okie dokie ...well this one will stop all those South Island lads . are you a Northerner ? If so, you might be a chance then lol.
-
By jove , you hit the nail on the head old chap . Bravo !!
-
speaking of Derek Jones there with Walt this week , here is Son Peter winning on a trotter that used to just jog it in to victory sometimes. Perhaps modelling herself like Scotch Notch with some big wins 😊🏆. Can you name this trotter ? and for the stumper maybe the 2nd placed horse seen here as well ? . (Ranga would probably 'jog it in' spotting up these 2, but see if you can beat him to the punch lol).
-
Another treat for you then Walt. Here's a great photo of Hands Down holding out a 'dour' field of stayers in one of the Easter Cup Wins on a heavy track. this one off 25m behind , beating Bonnie's Chance and Trevira both off 10m. One of the great Nz Handicap races (Easter Cup) now consigned to history rather unfortunately. The great trainer Derek Jones NZMM a humble man and with a great book Win without Boasting , was very pleased to meet him once, think is where got the book from. His grandsons now both in Aus unfortunately for Nz trotting , are both still going >> Ants and Tim. Here's Derek trying to make off with one of their trophys !! lol......
-
I think if you were a poker player Walt , your forced hand would be 'Royal Flushed' by my Massive near 200 race winning trio of Dellightful Lady, and the 2 Interdominion Final winners Young Quinn and Gammalite. Although my 3 champs had all failed to win the NZ Cup 😪. so I might be bluffed out of it ?? lol.... ( 8 of the 24 listed horses did win the Nz Cup in their careers though)
-
At that stage only about 30 horses had cracked the $100,000 in earnings. little chart below from 84' season. A beauty from the north leading the way with her 47 wins. Actually 4 of the top 6 earners were mares . there's a Very Nice horse in there at 'number 11' spot (knocking off Robalan and Young Quinn for that place 💰lol so that's pretty classy lol ..........and 5 of the top 6 beaten in some Big races too 😄🏆🏆🇦🇺 )
-
Alistair Lloyd Thomas Lowe (relative of Ted's is he ? ) Not sighted since 2019 . Driving before that from period 2010 -2019 , approxiamitely 200 drives for 2 wins only on a trotter in 2011 season. and Training for Alistair Lowe, in that same time-frame >>>> 200 odd starters for those 2 wins in 2011 and one more win in 2016 when someone drove a trotter to win for him that season.
-
Great video mate . The horses look magnificent on the beach. The elevator/ department store music theme Not quite capturing the Power of the Situation. Perhaps try the 'William Tell Overture' music accompaniment ? used to be brilliant at Alexandra Park for years when going along as a youngster as the horses left birdcage to step out on the track. That'll get em rockin ....

Potentially 29 Horse's ridden by Pinn to be Disqualified
Gammalite replied to Chief Stipe's topic in Galloping Chat
Doesn't make sense. How can you be disqualified and STILL keep the Money. ?? that is just a joke. But seems they're paying 'Extra' 's on around 29 occasions . seems you are right. They are gunna PRETEND the 29 horses didn't turn up and just 'Donate' money to them still. you're Disqualified but not forgotten lol.... 😆 how silly can they get. Racing Victoria has disqualified the 29 horses apprentice jockey Wiremu Pinn rode with an incorrect weight allocation after "imprecise" communication between stewards and NZ counterparts led to a costly administrative error. An audit by stewards on June 13 established Pinn was only entitled to claim 2kg in metropolitan races upon arrival in Victoria last month and had been "incorrectly" allocated a claim of 3kg from May 27 to June 12. The placings will be amended for the 29 races, and prizemoney awarded as though the disqualified horse had not started in the race. Fortunately, the RV Board has elected not to order the repayment of any prizemoney paid to the owner(s), trainers, or jockey Pinn from the 29 horses disqualified by the stewards.
