  1. Not sure if google chrome cast would be compatible.
  2. As I stated on the other site, rugby and cricket are on on other stations so they have the rights,an ideal scenario is a mix of radio sport and trackside maybe Saturday and major holidays racing from nz and the main centres from oz,you can't have overkill of racing on a sports station, talkback on sport will get people interested,,and surely a Des Coppins type show would be a good idea. Trackside simulcast is on their website and rova app, maybe they should just have the 2 channels simulcast, it ain't ideal but maybe then you can get full coverage, then you get some radio coverage as well, i rarely listen to rova but if there is a specific race one is interested in I will try to tune in. Strange as it is I did miss the radio when it went but I have got use to being without, same as sky really.after time you realise you can survive without. While I don't really give a shit about the yachting, the fact it was on zb while I'm working captured my attention, would I I go out of my way to watch it,probably not, same with the races,I don't plan my life around telly.
  3. Ok mr technologicaly advanced, very clever
  4. Forbury race April 14.start 3.30 be finished about 7
  5. Westport,Nelson,Blenheim,Reefton,Omakau,Gore(Xmas)Addington,on cup and show ,Cromwell and the Sunday grass meetings in Canterbury, people turn up,other than that the tvs the place to watch, races, people do go but we all have our normal lives to live as well, same in Rugby, not often you see a full house these days.
  6. Fair comment ,most of those Wednesday meetings like yesty finish early, usually West Australia have races that finish about 9' and they are popular, after that bugger all. As I stated earlier some of these meetings might be overkill,if you look at it another way they ain't much different to the races behind closed doors, the public simply don't go,it's understandable really.
  7. It seems to me ,that midweek meetings seem to be finished by 9 ish these days, maybe the TAB want them finished early,it may be about economics, who would know.
  8. Does one think there is overkill, you have Addingtom friday night, grass racing sunday do they need some of these meetings?
  9. Bigger population, better weather, speaks for itself,we just have to accept that with racing Aussie is number 1,probably in the world. We have wee period from Xmas to about Easter where we are at our peak, but nz is always going to be running a poor second but that's life I don't watch trackside much but sometimes midweek there is some very average stuff from oz too but stakes just seem to hold up, I think they simply have a racing culture, not so in nz.
  10. Does it really matter what the odds are?you take the odds on offer at the time, sometimes you win sometimes not. last week I picked a horse fixed odds,it was 7.50 all week basically ,started about 5.50 on the tote, closed at about 6.60 on tote,no change on fixed,it is what it is. At the end of the day you know what you are going to win, just to add I wonder if there is a reduction for late scratching does anybody know?
  11. Stipe those fixed odd options have been on tab site now for probably 2 weeks, you must not go on site often?
  12. What about you or the horse ?😁
  13. I actually think the numbers floating around dunedin is probably not much different to what it's always been,as I said before Forbury were stuuffed because of the overkill of meetings elsewhere meaning a lot didn't go there as once before, still wonder if or when Forbs go what if anything will happen
  14. Interesting how the suits who want to close racing down in Dunedin area because of lack of horse population yet four winners at Oamaru yesty,2 from Waikouiti,I from the plains and one from Brighton.
  15. I see Alexy got second, that's a first as well, never paid a divvy on grass.
  16. I've only just see the race result, fuckin phenomenal, must be that Waikouiti water, you said lead slows you down, makes him go faster aye.
  17. The spitfires back.
  18. Tuepeka raced at labour weekend back in October, getting back to the calandar Wyndham now race on April fools day,a Thursday before Easter and Manawatu now have the night to themselves,it was shared with Addington but they have moved a day ahead, will be interesting to see if that day works out for Wyndham,it's often a get things done before everything shuts up for the break day.
  19. If Forbury close why don't Tuepeka race at Roxburgh, holiday weekend, same size track, and Tuepeka is on the Clutha river, last year was down for Oamaru,it is a long way away.
  20. I think that Nelson and Blenheim winter circuit should be reinstated,2 trips to the coast a year, two to the top of the south, judging by numbers owners/trainers don't mind travelling now and then,or do we just have the same old Addington Friday night Sunday afternoon repetition?
  21. Maybe if Sunday at Easter becomes a Raceday, good Friday is the real holy day,the Sunday not so much, that Tuesday after Easter has often been a mix up,some people take that day off.
  22. I think that Netball coach getting a knighthood was a joke, sure they won the World Cup but in reality they only won 2 games of note, maybe if one could win a couple more world cups then maybe then, knighthoods are for people who achieve extreme heights,Shadbolts another joke.
  23. Just watching Wingatui, a big grass track and a training track inside so where would a all weather trotting go,if any?
  24. Land agents would sell their own mother in law.
  25. What about no betting?
