There still needs to be shuffle around in the dates to get the best outcome,I think the south has probably got enough meetings or close too,one positive we saw over winter is the fact you can race in Southland in winter,I guess it comes down to figures what days are best but Forbury on cold winter nights is a bit of a croc

I think 8 of the winners are from places where they stopped racing or wanted to stop racing,the locals and then throw in Eastern Southland.

Not a guarantee as he has moved his second operation south,was he or is he got a team up north

I've said many times,they are a victim of circumstances but it would be interesting to see how today has gone

Alexy is a funny horse,I've seen some drivers who can get the best out of him,driven right today he could surprise again,pretty average fields to be honest but par for the course for a southern race meet these days,on another note I see Davy Mac back calling the trials so he ain't given up completely as yet,must be hard being demoted like that though,I dont have anything against Justin Evan's but he should have waited his turn to call the Southern meetings.

Just done a scan through the fields,about 12 or 15 CD horses at Cambridge,how long before the travel kills of the interest?

3 weeks before first meet at Palmy,are there still any horses trained in area,no trials so far and with fields likely to come from the pool of horses at Cambridge today,hardly inspiring,can harness survive in the area much longer?

Cant give you a time but I reckon the first horse home will probably be faster than the 2nd and the 2nd one will be faster than the third.

The ODT is a very good paper but I only read the stories online,do they still have fields and results these days,does anybody know?
