I think Roxburgh were for the chop too,what was the idea there,l can't remember now,maybe a shift to Gore,Forbury or something but hang on they were almost gone too. What happened to Hamilton,seemed to vanish from racing scene. Funny how times change,Central used to provide the bulk of the Otago footy team, is there anyone from Central made it in recent times,I'm not up with such things as much these days One more thing,I read an article on Woodhouse in the odt a while back,stated he had done 1.3million kilometres in his horse truck,that's some distance by my reckoning.

You Doug are simply making too much sense,I honestly can't see how a new date for Omakau can't be found,the guys running harness racing have some rather strange ideas,no Eastern Southland bar one day,Forbury and Waterlea almost died,Taranaki has died,sad but true.it is a large area and a large population,token days seems a bit short changing the area really

Waikouiti at Wingatui tomorrow have good fields,good stakes,much better than Jan 1 would have got however as it's at Wingatui,is it better to race there with probably not many turning up crowd wise or going back home ,3 times the crowd,its a hard one to know which option is best. I bet most of those Waikouiti racegoers will be a no show,not just tomorrow but probably any other time of the year and maybe for good,is that wise.

I'm turning into the rova app shortly,I dont bother there often but maybe I'm about to hear radio that will rival Winston Churchills and Queen Elizabeth's speeches as historic occasions,here's hoping.
