  1. My educated guess is $2100 plus GST (return)
  2. Mikie

    Sad

My apologies Agent Reefton has advised me that my information was correct, but only in respect of Harness (not gallops) Thickos
  3. Todays pattern for the mobiles seems different Galah
  4. You do realise that the races at Waterlea are on the grass Davis?
  5. No clouds here Davis! Although I don't recommend taking 2 teenage girls to Kaiteriteri for a holiday (don't make assumptions, one's my daughter) As far as Waterlea being one of the worst tracks in the world, you do realise that for 2 years they have raced on their grass track? O'Brien
  6. I'm not saying DM did CC a great job of restructuring, but in hindsight he did a better job of keeping a rein on expenses compared to the current CEO
  7. I can't really see where the driver welfare comes in LongOwner Are you telling me Blair Orange is incapable of driving at Nelson, going to bed, getting a plane to Christchurch and a ride to Ashburton? Really? Tell that to a doctor in an emergency ward working 2 x 12 hour shifts
  8. I didn't realise you were so wonderful So keep telling us
  9. Finally, an intelligent poster joins BOAY
  10. That's fine Spatchcock One way or the other There aren't enough horses for both ends of the country
  11. So Gammalite Ypu are saying that the Invercargill Cup deserves the best horses in the country? And you're saying that the Franklin Cup deserves the best horses in the country? You don't seem to grasp that that's not possible
  12. I read a story that the Franklin Cup is in danger of being scrapped with only 4 nominations Im astounded that anyone is surprised With the number of Open Class horses presently racing in New Zealand how could anyone not realise that putting on a $100k Invercargill Cup that attracted Self Assured, Spankem, BF Joe and Krug not result in the demise of the Franklin Cup? I rate the Invercargill Club and their Admin team but they should have been left at $30-$40k catering for the rung below, and the Franklin Cup instead race for $75000 forcing the Open Class horses to travel North (that's if we can now afford these stakes at all!) Before anyone complains about forcing Owners to beat the cost of travel ask yourself this 1. what's the alternative? 2. If you're a top ( NRL standard) League player living in Invercargill can you stay living there and play NRL? 3. Can a top tennis player go anywhere in NZ over the holiday period to play in a top tournament other than Auckland? We simply don't have the number of top Open Class horses to split them from one end of the country to the other Whoever at HRNZ ( and I think I know who) that didn't realise this shouldn't have a job Mike
  13. It costs about $600 plus per horse to take a double float to Palmy from Blenheim (Ferry, accom) With the 2 day meetings of the past that's $300 per start With a 1 day meeting that's $600 per start.
  14. The topic heading may have been that I made no comment on that Hunter I made a comment when a Poster branched into another area and made a patently incorrect and stupid statement
  15. I don't know why the last time this was explained hasn't sunk in with a certain poster It is quite simple The ATC does not generate enough wagering on a Friday night to return to the industry enough to cover the payout they receive in order to run such Friday night races, that's a normal Friday with normal stakes The ATC receive a higher payout per race than any other Club in the country other than NZMTC The stakes for this week are subsidised by (1) the ongoing redistribution of income earnt by country Clubs in the South Island from their higher Turnovers and (b) the Group Race Subsidy Fund, which is also funded by redistributing the income earnt by the same Clubs in (a) above
  16. I think they aren't Owners in the true sence of the word Galah An Owner would normally be someone who pays training fees (generally!) Nearly all of Chainsaw Yole's horses are on 50/50 deals His nickname relates to his friendship with a greyhound trainer/butcher
  17. Brodie You asked me where you had said you would never post again Here is your post Posted November 1, 2020 "I have got far better things to do than waste my time posting with small minded pedantic people! I will leave it up to the others to post as I am over and out! Enjoy the rest of this difficult year and hope everyone has a great xmas and holiday season! Edited Tuesday at 09:36 PM by Brodie" Remember? Mikie
  18. It says that for some people the almighty dollar rules You do know Mr Yole's nickname don't you?
  19. No aliases Brodie Unlike Chief eh?
  20. No Galah, every horse we raced bar 2 really dangerous ones were either sold or rehomed It's not a generalisation Galah, as all the horses concerned have been Notified as "Dead" with the Ozzie Harness Racing Board (if that's what it is called)
  21. If you blocked me how did you quote me? You're still telling porkies
  22. Hi HTP Unfortunately it's pretty well known what happens to every horse after they are of no further use to him
  23. Yes, but not everyone reads every post on every thread Not everyone can be bothered to search the HRNZ site So there would be many who didn't know my identity. At least 3 (Reefton, HTP and GOJ realised just this week so obviously they hadn't read the previous threads or searched it up on HRNZ had they? So if there's those 3 then there would have been others At the end of the day JJF is quite right, you are a Cockwomble Plus Brodie has rubbed off on you, instead of apologising for being a dick and naming a poster you would rather defend yourself with ... but, but but they could have figured it out themselves... Lastly if you are going to put quote marks around words make sure you get it right. What I said was "Figure that one out Chief?" That's a long way from "bet you can't work out...." isn't it? Why put quote marks around something I never said? Is it because what I actually said was merely conversation, whilst the way you put it shows me in a smug light? You've turned into a hypocrite Chief
  24. Really? You can't remember promising that you would never post again Help me out Chief, save me the time of finding it Lat I heard you had blocked me, yet you are now quoting me I can only deduce from that you tell porkies Brodie If you are intimidated there's a Wellbeing Campaign on at the moment, just email them
