  1. Obviously has no clue about the wagering industry and just wants temporary higher stakes for syndication purposes. Not very helpful in my view and no revenue based rationale for his arguments.
  2. I can see that the remedial maths classes still aren't working.
  3. That would work but you'd still need the selections to be determined before the race.
  4. I think he's answered it numerous times barryb. You wait till it wins, even if that's several starts after the black type performance then you back it on the Sunday after it ran on the Saturday with 30% extra on if it had blinkers on first time. Quite a coup really.
  5. Yeahhh... sigh. Can they not grasp that more customers = more costs just the same as more betting products. Unless those customers are willing to lose more than the smaller group whether or not spread over more betting products or events there's no net revenue result, and so far there is not.
  6. You are not applying a critical aspect of the blue print. That is to wait until Sunday brunch to decide which of the 28 you backed on the previous Saturday. If you do, then you'll have results similar to Thommo, maybe better.
  7. Hmmm... https://nzracingboard.co.nz/content/nzrb-submission-messara-report-october-2018-0
  8. Good idea. I'm impressed that the lollipop was no longer when she got it back but not sure how she imagined that could have been a possibility. If she thinks that "any f'er who disagrees with her is a big liar...", then I suggest you try and teach her to take on board alternative opinions and facts and weigh them up before reaching her own conclusions. I realise though that since you are incapable of doing that yourself, it may be a difficult lesson for you to teach her. Perhaps get someone more rational to do so?
  9. I was thinking that you guys complaining about the SI apprentices could get them to have a look at this ride. Easy you may say when you have the horse power but both her and Dezzie could do it this way as well so maybe they should also have a peak at this ride. Ezy pezy when you actually know how fast you are going. No slugs behind her on either occasion either.
  10. Olgiata was her second dam. La Mer was out of her daughter La Balsa.
  11. Maybe he understands Swahili better than English?
  12. I was probably there for both of those. Memory failing!
  13. Don't remember the Washdyke wonder winning at Levin though he may well have but the Copper Belt clashes remain legendary in my mind
  14. The trainer was the mighty Syd Brown out of Woodville. Is that track on the close list?
  15. Third time lucky! It was Family of Man. 1981 Belmura Lad Kingston Town No Peer 2:02.0 1980 Belmura Lad Family of Man Lady Capri 2:03.8 1979 Dulcify Shivaree Minuetto 2:00.9 1978 Family of Man La Mer Kankama 2:04.0
  16. Second thoughts, might have been Belmura Lad?
  17. Haha... Levin was one of my favourite tracks. Skipped a lot of uni classes to go racing there!
  18. Didn't she run second in the McKinnon on that Oz trip. Can't remember what beat her. Dulcify?
  19. Back when these races used to be mostly run genuinely and we produced top stayers and middle distance horses eh?
  20. Do you mean Pauline or La Mer was special? Might have been more like 77.
  21. An all time favourite of mine. Always wanted one like her!
  22. Won't get there this year. Next I hope. Of your 3, I particularly like Best Solution for now.
  23. In case you missed it.
  24. true....it only becomes unsafe when a couple nearly or do fall over. It is always safe prior to that.
