  1. Interesting that it is to remain the Purdon colours? Certainly alot to live up to now!
  2. AllStars stable disbanded and now under Hayden Cullen’s control! Does anyone know if it is going to have any name other than Hayden and his wifes name? He must have a new set of colours registered? What are they like? When will his first horses under his name step out? Interesting times ahead!
  3. Scratched ! Probably sold overseas?
  4. Makes Spitfire look good!
  5. The thing is kelvin is totally useless and he had been the Deputy leader ofLabour, so it just shows how poor the party really is, and yet 50% of people voted for them, Go figure? Twyford on the other hand, should perhaps have been missing in action! Megan Woods, waiting with baited breath for her announcements re housing in the next week or two! To be fair we have been waiting for quite awhile already for something of substance! She is probably already working on the enquiry into food prices, probably be more her go! Is this another year of delivery of this very competent government? Yeah, Nah
  6. Tell the NZ TAB that punters can not win all the time and drop all restrictions, so that they can take plenty off Brodie!
  7. Shit, well done Ranga, how did you know about punter restrictions?
  8. Where nave I twisted anything to suit anyone? You told us that a monthly training bill for a horse in work at the AllStars was $3200 from what you had seen! I doubted it very much and said so! Now you are saying that the daily training rate was $105 per day, probably plus GST ! So for a full month the basic cost is over $3700 then all the other costs which will be substantial! The real cost with vets, supplements, and shoeing is probsbly going to be a minimum of $4500 on a low month without any transport! Would you now agree JJ??

Half a chocolate bar rather than a full one?

    Happy Sunrise

You are talking funny money obviously due to age! You would wonder if they restricted any of the kids that happened to be winners?
  11. Davis, my point was that it will be interesting if Hayden Cullen continues to charge the same amount to the existing owners as. MArk and Nat did? Yes I know all trainers charge for all the extras, but is the Cullens stable still going to be using exactly the same additives etc. or not. If the results are not as good, then the owners will be questioning the costs! Jj, then stated that it is only $3200 per month to have a horse trained previously by the AllStars! My maths is pretty good and 31 days at $100 per day equates roughly $3100 per month plus GST!!! Then there is all the other multitude of charges and so impossible for it to be $3200! That is my point Davis!
  12. What was unsubstantiated? You say that a monthly bill is $3200! Can you substantiate that? I am saying it was a helluva lot more than that! As for the CEO’s pay, you did t say what it was, just that it had been reduced! Personally dont care what a CEO is on, they are worth what they do for the pay and the industry.
  13. Jj, you stated that monthly training bills at the AllStars was arojnd $3200! What was their daily charge rate do you recall?
  14. JJ! No idea whatsoever if you were right about the CEO’s salary! A CEO should be paid what he is worth! If he/she is useless, then they are not worth paying!
  15. Chief, never had a horse with Allstars obviously, so I have no bills!!!! The AllStars reportedly raised their daily charge from memory a year or two ago, to $100. We all know that this is just the start! Shoeing, vets, supplements, transport, nasal strips, accommodation etc.etc. One well known trainer sent a horse to the AllStars to be trained! The first bill reportedly was closer to $6k than $5k! Yes this is hearsay, however think about it, could easily be that. Lets just see if anyone else is prepared to post on here that a months full training at the AllStars is around $3200!,, I say bollacks when we know they charge the most in the South Island.
  16. JJ, was the $3200 for a months training for a horse in work? If it is, I say you are fabricating it! From what I have from good sources, training costs around $100 per day plus GST, plus many extras! The daily charge alone with GST makes it well over your $3200. What about all the supplements, shoeing, transport, vets????? You need your glasses on if you think bills at the AllStars for a month is only $3200.
  17. Bollacks Forbury! Doesnt matter what my political leanings are! Anyone with any clues should be able to see that declaring a climate emergency is blatant BS! Where is the emergency? Far more concerning issues than standing up in parliament and spouting off crap about something that is irrelevant after a year of businesses having to be closed! It was previously “Global Warming” but they changed it to “climate change”! Well there has always been climate change and there will always be climate change. Who they trying to fool by thinking that lil NZ stopping cows farting etc will help the world from overheating!!! This government wants to continue to scare people so that they think they need them in power. In Chch for example we had the earthquakes, there was the mosque shootings, then this deadly disease that we hear about every day. Now we have another emergency!!!!!! Climate Change for FFS! Lets ban plastic bags, that will help things, dont worry about the fact that there is 4 times as many people waiting for a state house in 3 years of Labour !!! Dont worry about prisoners burning down prisons and having weapons, the Minister of Corrections Mr Useless doesnt want to say anything until it is all over!!!! This Labour government that 50% of the stupid people in NZ voted for, is the most incompetent government NZ has ever had! Be very scared, we have a climate change, which is to be feared!!
  18. Been scanning the posts on this topic for a while! I have not seen JJ’s answer to the question that I asked him! I asked him what the training bills had been at the AllStars for a horse that was racing, as he had seen some bills from there, and he had connections with the stable! I have heard of amounts, so lets just see what he comes up with! Silence tends to suggest that Brodie is on the money, unless we hear from JJ!!!!
  19. What would his dad know about racing?
  20. The White Cocks? I think Chief wants to keep BOAY as seemly as possible without much smut or racism! smut
  21. Very bad news for a club that needs the funding I would say! Just as well jacinda announced the Climate Emergency as the climate is really changing and getting hotter! Yeah right!
  22. JJ, so you have some connection to the AS stable! What is an average monthly bill for a horse that is racing?
  23. Harewood, let us just wait and see! The domination by the one stable of all the group races has been a major negative for harness racing in NZ over the last decade or so! You go back and look at the full fields, the evenness of racing and the interest from the public. This has certainly gone backwards hugely due to the domination. We had 2 year olds aplenty racing from November but this has become non existent now because owners and trainers knkw they are just wasting their time as they wont be besting the AllStars 2 year olds! Yes the current AllStars owners will leave their horses with Hayden Cullen but if the results are not there then they will go elsewhere or drop out as they are not getting any you ger. Jean Feiss will pull out from racing in NZ now that AllStars have disbanded as she will just race in Oz. It is going to be very interesting what results come out of the Cullen barn if he is left to train without the same assistance ! You would wonder whether the training bills are going to drop drastically at the Cullen barn without the huge extras that are charged for? Owners there demand results or they wont be staying too long! Tim Williams will start training on his own or in partnership with Cullen. Personally think the disbanding is the best news for harness racing for a very long time.
  24. Omakau is a turning track that generally suits the front runners. Dont think there is much banking so being handy is going to be an advantage. Good punting!
  25. No ulcers as far as Brodie is aware? Been a good year health wise, never tested though for the deadly virus! Been an even better year financially due to having a Labour government in power though!
