  1. Graham Bruton several years ago purchased a horse called Glass Half Full off Michael House. Possibly the last horse Graham owned and looked extremely promising but very erratic. Dont think it raced after it raced on Cup Day a few years ago, I believe. Think it may have broken down , but does anyone know if it was ever brought back into work as Graham would’ve paid a lot of money for it? ,
  2. Has anyone heard anything about the Darkside Site, as it looks like it isn’t still operating, going by the fact that no one is posting!!
  3. The crazy thing is that there a a lot of people who are crying out for the lockdown level 4 to be continued for longer??? WTF??? The so-called experts were stating that there was going to be 28,000 deaths here and something like up to 150,000 deaths in Oz. We have had no deaths in NZ or Oz to anyone that has not had underlying issues as I understand it and the average age would be in the 80s in NZ and most with dementia and havent been resuscitated due to instructions. Personally on the financial front it doesn’t affect us, but for most invested into the racing industry, it is going to affect them and that will flow onto the racing industry! Are we going to be able to ride this out if lockdown is extended and business doesn’t happen? NO!!!!!!!!!!!
  4. I think they have got a lot more to worry about than paying someone a wage. Been watching the tote pools on win and place and they are extremely abysmal, but with all the agencies closed here and in Oz they must be losing a helluva lot of money on every single race. Ozzie still racing and yet we are all closed and yet we have not had a single death that has happened to a single person that had reasonable health to start with. This is just blatantly ridiculous and if we are not let out shortly there is going to be hell to pay.
  5. We used to get the tote divs. to be paid Appearing on Our TV screens very quickly after the race has finished. We now don’t get them for ages after a race! Anyone know why the change has occurred??
  6. Oz has certainly got it right! Harness NZ certainly made a major stuff up by bringing in stuff a blatantly stupid rule that had no logic to it whatsoever. How do they expect a driver to count up to 10 ea who,e concentrating on driving their horse? HRNZ change the rule back to what it was And admit you erred badly!!!
  7. The Ozzies clearly saw the light and have certainly not banned the whip as they originally wanted to do! They now have no number of hits with the whip in their rules, which is what the ru,es in NZ should be as well. It was just plain stupid when HRNZ brought the rule in with no consensus of support whatsoever and now it is such a confusing and hard to fathom rule! There are injustices involved with the way it is monitored or not monitored! The ship rule is just as Stupid as the other plainly stupid rule they introduced in regards to being able to lodge a protest when there as been interference!!!!!!
  8. Does anyone know what the whip rule currently being used in Oz is, or is it a free for all. Some of them are hitting at least 20 times which is good if you have backed that one. Most drivers are not as meek and mild as our ones are. After we get racing back I imagine our drivers will be wanting to make u for lost time, to try and get some money back!!!
  9. With no racing on in Nz have been watching with intent the harness racing in Oz for the last few days. The whip rule that they have just seems to work! Is there actually a limit as to how many times you are allowed to use the whip over there nowadays? I can tell you, it is refreshing to see that most of the drivers aren’t shy to use the whip to encourage their horses to do their best! Does make for very good punting when you know that they aren’t counting and scared to do anything! HRNZ bring in the rule that they have over there and it will improve the racing and encourage punters to offload, and lets face it, you need punters badly!!!!!
  10. The lights at Forbury have never been any good!
  11. God it’s cold down here at Forbury!
  12. Should have your eyes tested! Go,and do something constructive instead of acting like a goose on here!
  13. Firstly, Brodie is not a ginge. Secondly, we need to be out of home d, as several of you have got mental health issues from this lockdown. Not in Dunedin, far too cold.
  14. Plus extras?.
  15. So stopping being a troll
  16. Oink oink!
  17. Sorry Ranga, it is not me that has the blowups!
  18. That is BS and you damn well know it Ranga. Go and play on the road!
  19. Chief, am I allowed to say Eff off?
  20. Hilarious! You can take the piss out of “The Brodster” as much as you like, as long as you don’t call him a liar! As he certainly is not that, despite a couple of “dropkicks” saying he is without a single bit of evidence. Not a psychotic frenzy as of yet, slightly frustrated with what is going on, yes. 2 deaths so far unfortunately and yesterday was a frail lady in her 90s with several age related issues and they put it down to Covid19? We really do need to start some more businesses opening with care. There are far more deaths going to happen from the consequences of the shutdown than the cold virus we currently have!!!!! As for the AllStars success, don’t give a rats, it is just something that is going to be another reason why owners are just not going to be bringing their horses back into work. Cruising definitely off the agenda for quite awhile I would say, not just for me but for many others. Keep safe
  21. To be fair Whiplash I think at time’s you could well be taking something serious!
  22. Was a great shop Ranga. Stink bombs would’ve been your favourite?
  23. Happy, wouldn’t call them hypocrites but I would say that you are correct with the second one you stated! Hopefully once NZ Racing is back, they may well see the error of their ways and treat all punters equally! The NZ TAB will need as many punters they can get when things start to resume or they may as well close the doors and give the ones that are on mega dollars the D C M!
  24. Seems like a reasonable decision to race at Addington as it is the best track for racing in Australasia bar none. Think Auckland will struggle with fields as there will be A bit of blood on the floor from both the sharemarket and loss of business income and jobs. Many of the small number of owners will not be wasting their time and Auckland certainly can’t afford the large stakes they currently seem to have! Will be interesting to see if there are going to be many that don’t settle on the apartments at Alexandra Park now due to the Corona Virus. Bearing In mind unfortunately the virus death toll doubled today, with respect the deceased was in her 90s and had several age related issues!!!
  25. Maybe the TAB will set one up? Hopefully we will have a more realistic and fair TAB that wants customers rather than trying to turn them away and not accepting bets that are genuine and not money laundering or assisting terrorism!!!
