  1. The point is that the correct trainer should be in the Facebook, not someone who hasn’t been training the horse for weeks. Is there any reason that Margo Nyhan and Peter Davis aren’t registered as a training partnership, as we all know that Peter would being doing at least as much as Margo does?
  2. As I have said previously I have a problem with horses being under Trainers names if they are not based at the named trainers property. If they are not calling the shots and putting the cart on and overseeing the training operation where the horse is based, how on earth are they the trainer? I appreciate that under horse movements it is mentioned, but this is often weeks after the horse is actually stabled at the new trainers property! Yes I appreciate that Margo and Peter had a bad accident unfortunately, but the fact that they are not the trainers at the moment should be more clearly pointed out, to the fact that the correct trainers should be named as such!
  3. Heaps of horses improve when they change stables and change methods of training! it is a known fact that beach training is extremely beneficial for almost all horses! Easier on their joints, straightline training and bets fitness! Look how McLellan horses improve so much when they come up from Southland to Regan Todd’s place on the beach! Is he being dishonest too???????
  4. To be fair, we would all test positive to caffeine, whether it be by coffee or Coke! Wouldnt say it is performance enhancing and nobbled!
  5. The Brodster is home! Sorry no tent, as not that way inclined!
  6. Renezme
  7. What also happens is that if you have a reasonable investment on the win or place, they slash the other div, whether it be win or place!!!!!!
  8. Na, in Oz at the moment and the fields aren’t worth betting into tonight, as premier meeting!
  9. Ranga, I have heard bits and pieces, and from what I have been told, I don’t consider it RACE FIXING! If there is incriminating evidence as to fixing of results I am yet to hear it!! As for ordinary, probably not, as for old, Na!!
  10. You clearly know a helluva lot more than I do then Newmarket! Nothing is worth that sort of crap! Feel sorry for the charged ones, having it going on for so damn long! Why on earth does our so-called justice system need all this time to bring out the evidence and find out whether there is any truth to the charges FFS!
  11. No I didn’t say or imply that! What I said was that from what I have heard, from my line of thinking, no races were fixed! Tactics and intentions but not fixed! I haven’t got the evidence so who knows? This long winded delay to everything is doing no good for the harness industry!
  12. Probably not, as from what I have heard, doesn’t appear to have been any race fixing as they call it!
  13. Personally think that Tim Williams is a driver that alway spits his horse in the race. Yes, like every driver, he has had some poor drives, but he in my humble opinion one of the better aggressive drivers that we have. His record of driving Group winners for the AllStars I believe is pretty useful and if Mark and Nat didn’t rate him, then he wouldn’t be driving for them. He has improved remarkably from when he was driving down in Southland many years ago. Tim is always available for the media and I beleive that should he choose to train at some stage, he will be very successful, having worked for the AllStars Stable and being intelligent.
  14. Ranga, The Brodster is always on the money, end of storey! No one can ever point to when he has been wrong! Someone may have a crack, but won’t be correct!!!!
  15. Yes I was talking about the pacers mainly, although the dominant stable have got a few extremely good trotters that will be very prominent in the big trotters races in the next year or so. Look, it is great if you own a very good horse and I hope you can win a lot of money with it, especially if you can beat the dominant stable.
  16. Jacks Legend a very good horse but bugger all races for him in the North Island, and you can’t blame the owners for selling if the price was right! Turning them over is the name of the game nowadays, as there is absolutely no money in racing horses with the amount of costs involved! Most Owners know that they are pushing it uphill nowadays racing for the big stakes!
  17. Totally agree Robert. Harness Racing is a great industry and would love it to thrive. There are plenty of people in NZ that don’t even know what Harness Racing is and therefore don’t know what they are missing out on. Somehow we need to attract these younger people to be interested. Problem is the cost of living for them nowadays, with mortgages etc.
  18. What do you mean by that? No one has been found guilty of anything as far as I am aware? Being watered down all the time Jonny!
  19. Another one that makes these claims and then can not back it up! Tonka, when have I been wrong, I ask again ??
  20. No they would have to refund your money on fixed odds!
  21. Tonka, I am always on the money!!! When have I ever not been?
  22. Happy, even if someone did back it at $201 fixed, the TAB has the right to cancel the bet, as it is in their rules, if they think they have made an error!!!!! I have taken bets where the odds have been appealing, and then they just cancel the bet!!!! The TAB can cancel the fixed odds bet even though they have accepted it, but the punter can not!! Pretty much is that they totally call the shots!!!
  23. Is Dexter not required for Operation Inca hearings, or is it just a load Of bollocks?
  24. Reality is that most of the connections with the AllStars stables don’t give a rats about anyone else in the industry apart from themselves! The industry is in serious trouble in the years ahead of attracting new participants into the game, due to the dominance of the one stable! Yes the topic is being brought up continuously, but the fact is that it is one of the biggest negative influences we currently have in regards to growing the industry! Owners and trainers are totally getting the stitch and will fall by the wayside, and with no new owners coming thru, harness racing is stuffed!
  25. Dead right, in many of the races I would take the AllStars horses out of the odds!!! It is what the TAB needs to do to get punters to take up the action! Seriously, all that the short odds that are put up does, is to put most punters off! The TAB needs to encourage wagering to people rather than put them off by pathetic odds. Why bother when you are buying money, waste of effort unless you are a compulsive gambler!!
