  1. He did say he was training gallopers but because I dont follow the cartless ones whatsoever, I wouldnt know how many he has trained or is currently training? His insinuation was that he may get out of harness in favour of the gallopers, Chief.
  2. Yes we do need more people coming thru all the ranks, punters, owners, trainers and drivers! Without any of them then racing is finished. House has insinuated that he may well jump ship to the gallopers in the future, so watch this space! Certainly wouldnt be as hard as training standardbreds, as anyone can be a galloping trainer!!!!
  3. Na. Great to see her pace all the way from the UNRULY which is where she needs to stay and not be allowed back into the draw! Put back on the front line and racing in a field and she will gallop again! To be fair you would have thought she shouldve won yesterday as it was the WEAKEST MAIDEN FIELD IN HISTORY! All the reasonable horses were in the Graduation Final! There will never be a weaker maiden field in Canterbury ever!!!! It has speed and some stamina but not the brain capacity to be a successful racehorse worth persevering with for financial reasons!
  4. The Commie supporters are the ones that have been more adversely affected by the nilness of this incompetent lot! Fortunately even many of the brainwashed are deserting them. Reality the pain that they are going to feel is nowhere near what it is going to be over the next year. I am not saying that National are as good as they used to be however they do have many that are not totally useless! All this lot has achieved is 100% failure and still hard to believe there were enough DICKHEADS who thought they deserved another 3 years to push the country into further trouble.
  5. I am bound to be wrong at some stage, however personally can not see him continuing to win. The slushy track suited him last night and will have to wait and see how he goes on a good track ar Addington. There have been some rough going pacers over the years but they dont tend to end up as topliners! Dick Caskey had a shockingly rough going one, Torle I think it was but all of his were rough as lol
  6. Good News! The worst named horse in New Zealand named after the worst Prime Minister ever has to have a name change. Common sense has prevailed as it is very bad taste to allow a horse named after her!!!!! The article said the owners thought she had a nice smile lol 😂 Maybe they could rename it something like Horse Head?
  7. You are correct it certainly helps greatly but it was a gutsy run by it though! Will be interesting to see how it goes when the track is fast as I very much doubt it could pace like that on a hard track and win against good nags! Appeared to possibly be a bit sore or maybe that is what it normally does?
  8. Very tough win by Franco Marek and sin is all he had to do. Rough going pacer and the wet track helped him tonight. While the tracks are soft he will go well lets see whether he goes on a hard track?
  9. What ks wrong with having music over the top of the hosts speaking? Teething problems so it must get better you would think?
  10. Look it can only go one way! Good to see Jason Teaz on it but unfortunate beginning and Jason looks so embarrassed . Great idea but dont think too many will be watching channel 83 for the actual race
  11. Walt, the damp track will probably help Franco Marek tonight! You could well have the last laugh tonight lol
  12. No problem, time will tell Walt. Rangiora win didnt impress me too much at all lol It beat some less than average horses by buggerall and last quarter it ran in 29.9 which is not flash. Anyway let us see how it performs tonight at Addington
  13. Of course it would be very boring if everyone agreed with everyone All the time. Just from watching Franco Marek’s allweather track runs showed to me that it was a good horse but nothing very glod. The win at Rangiora it ran the last quarter in 29.9 and did not appear to have much left in the tank? It also only best some very ordinary horses after having an economical run. At the end of the day it may well prove Brodie wrong and you correct and I will not be on the money. Always be a first! Lol
  14. Personally dont think Franco Marek is that good! Yes all you can do is win but to be fair it hasnt beaten anything of any class, It has looked pretty good on the grass but the big test will be tonight at Addington against better horses than it has raced before! It has a quite high pacing action in the front which tends to suggest it will be better on the grass surfaces. Probably have egg on my face but from what I have seen it will struggle to win many more races including tonight!
  15. Surefire way of doing your dough! No one makes money long term backing the shorties Ranga! Might as well buy the Crypto!
  16. The races that they got the early fixed odds are the crap races, the supporting races do often have horses worth having a go. Why the crap races with a handfull of starters?
  17. Yeah they are the Group Races, but they are crap races that are not worth the effort! Why bother as you would be a mug punter betting on those shorties, punters that back them for any significant amount would be losing punters. Why not bring all the races out as not sure how much they get on early as they never tell us!
  18. Hope it works as it is needed. Nigel Armstrong fronting it at Addington will be good. Hardworking enthusiast that needs rewarded. There are several unpaid enthusiasts that do a great job for harness. Will be great to just have harness and not the dogs or gallops.
  19. Addington and Auckland both race on Friday night! The Bookies yesterday brought out the Fixed Odds on the SHIT races not worth betting on at Auckland! If they do this on races not worth wagering on then why not bring some out on Addington as well where the punters will actually offload?
  20. The biggest problem without doubt as I see it, is the fact that the industry is not doing anything to attract new punters! The fact is the TAB and harness NZ are actually doing the total opposite in that they are losing punters! I know several punters who just do not bother anymore, that going oncourse and to an outlet to wager! The actions being employed currently will also ensure that therr wont be enough owners coming thru to ensure the success of harness racing! The economy and cost of living going forward for the coming generations is going to ensure that most will not be able to afford the training costs which are substantial nowadays! Things need to change and no amount of brainstorming will do anything without correct actions!
  21. Appears to be a few more people at the races back then, by the look of it? What has changed things so much? Trackside? NZ TAB? More places to spend your $? Commentary was not too bad either!
  22. Think the wet track was the reason!
  23. Anything goes Ludwig! When punting on standing starts, punters just have to take their chances! To be fair they tend to be better in Canterbury than they used to be, but that wouldnt be too hard. The best drivers seem to know how to get the advantage by walking up rather than standing.!
  24. The wet track and the unruly probably helped her. She aint going to win from the unruly unless the field is extremely weak and not sure where that is likely to be as she wouldnt get around Palmy in the Michael House colours! Lizzie has some speed but has not got the brain to make it worthwhile racing her! Then again there are a lot of owners that are prepared to shell out thousands every month to have a horse racing!
  25. Yeah right! A mare that needs to go to the paddock Ranga! She is not going to win anything from the unruly and she will gallop if she is in the field! Pointless racing her until she knows how to pace, too many issues! Even if she ever won a race it is going to cost a heck of a lot more in training fees to make it a worthwhile effort!!!
