  1. Upset night. Alderbeck Ourtwentyten My Alpha Rock Motu Meteor Cruz Bromac $50 place multi. Think Alderbeck is due to show some form from that draw. Santa is long odds over that trip and draw, Monty could easily run a place. Bit of a dream having 2 of ours in an Interdom. Will be a noisy night in our lounge.
  2. As much as I appreciate the skill involved in Race calling and Im sure Aaron White is a splendid person,. If I hear that call again Im going to throw up. Please ,Please Aaron expand the vocab a bit more sir.
  3. Like Enchantee as well , always there abouts. But wouldnt back McLovin with counterfeit money sorry. My roughie is A Better Dancer R6, not much in this field.
  4. Never miss a beat do yah Brods.
  5. So in what way are you involved now ?. It would be a sad day( although not surprising ) that those with your expertise are not utilised by the powers that be.I thought personally Trottech was a very good indicator for those trying to narrow down a winner.
  6. After watching that I had also forgotten what a huge run Luxury Liner put up to run second. He was my fav from that era, followed him from his first start onwards. Great little horse that had a peculiar way of wobbling his head when running.
  7. Yep. And it was that scratching that let Lightning Blue in. Bugger.
  8. I knew someone would get it right. .good on yah Rangi.
  9. Sad state of affairs. we have become a breeding satellite state for Australia. At least we were canny enough to sort out our breeding stock , pity the racing side isn't.
  10. Do you think Prestonpans will end up in Aussie. If so Im moving to Perth.
  11. Yeah remember now. He was running outwards towards the fence on a dicky leg in the last heat but still trounced them. Then he was withdrawn. Reon Murtha,s commentary went like this as they crossed the line."Australia 1,2,3" Bastards, most disconcerting it was.
  12. From memory Lightning Blue hadnt even qualified with enough points for the final. Got in on a withdrawal (cant remember who it was ). That rubbed salt into the wound. My fav Luxury Liner whom I backed that day was a bit disappointing.
  13. Trying to find agreement on 50 races a day when you are out of your local comfort zone will be monumental. Great stuff and a brilliant back story to a wonderful punting contest. Enjoy yr Jim Beam.
  14. I think the horse became a bit fractious after waiting so long in the score up which one maybe can put down to Mr Lamb taking to long to get them to sort themselves out. Time they got rid of stand starts. He might be off to the Inters where they are all mobiles and no Mr Lambs.
  15. Not sure , waiting for report.
  16. Yes that no 1 was our horse. Broke and never recovered.
  17. Just send me a cheque in the mail?. Seriously tho, he is a good horse with a lot of upside. Thought Pats Delight was good enough in amongst the big boys as well.
  18. The 3 Pete. After the smash I thought Hmm, two less and one other out on the unruly so I climbed into him again . Threes wasn't bad. Majestic Man went well although we are getting annoyed at the Purdons gradually.
  19. Yep none at all but was expected. He will still need some luck but I'm sure he will run well.
  20. Maybe you could drive it next time, rather than bitch and gripe about a very good horseman. You lot amuse me.
  21. With a penchant for" young tarts, I suggest they issue him with Viagra. It would then serve two purposes the second being something extra to point with when marshalling the horses.
  22. To make it fair then do as Oldwhiteman suggested. Ban the use of the whip. Problem solved. That opens up a can of worms as those pre trainers /trainers/ horses handlers would be aware of.
  23. Yes remember Final Decision. Totally flawed horse but brilliant beyond belief when he concentrated. Mind you he wouldn't have caught them had they been running 3.52 time. I backed my fav Pats Delight well before the meet on FF. He didn't look right during the race, he was shaking his head around as if the tounge was over the bit. And I'm sure my mate Robert and co would be disappointed with Jacks Legends run. Didn't finish it off, although once again at that clip the sprint home is somewhat dented.
  24. Agree Richie. I have seen nearly 50 Cups and would have a hell of a time remembering a run as gutsy as that, considering the time of 3.52 and change. Absolute gut buster of a run. The connections of Tiger Tara must be gutted. So close yet so far. Will the horse be back next year ? as a 9 yr old.
  25. And there it is. I can't be bothered betting on race day. You are missing the point. Forget the monotony of the Purdon machine. Redial the one track mind of yours for anything All stars and start making some money. How you ever made( supposedly) money before is beyond me with your thinking. I will send you my next value pick at no cost.
