There is a couple on here that think that. ???

Yes we voted to send him over there, as he was not quite up to the best here and off long hncps in the lower grades. He has grown a leg over there to be honest, and very competitive . Majestic Man will hit the tracks soon , and put behind him the bad luck from the Jewels. (getting kicked and being on antibiotics he ran on heart alone )He wasn't that much inferior to the Purdons juggernaut Winterfell, so watch this space. Some juveniles in the background coming along nicely as well.

Its quite possible we may have two running in the Inter Trotters champs later this year. . We are thinking of sending Monty over and Father Christmas (after a first up 2nd at Melton last night) is a definite from Brent Lilleys barn. Interesting times.

Get off. Seriously not anywhere in the ball park with the likes of Chicago Bull and Ultimate Machete. There's your quinella. We will load up on CB eh Paul.?
-
Agree there Mardy. Last season he didn't have much ticker at all and was spent at the 400. Will be a welcome addition to the ranks if the horse is firing on all cylinders. Monty will be stepping out again this year, and he is always a live chance if not a worldbeater. Dark Horse is jogging again ,after the torn suspensory, what could have been!. Early New Year for her back into it, and then show the world what she is made of. One horse that won last night at Adders is a fav of mine and has developed into a real racehorse. Haydens Meddle, a great money spinner for his owners, and hasn't reached his mark yet.

Evanescence . Wake me up. Brilliant . Forgotten how to cut and paste. Craigos ????

Nats a Fake.??.

That previous article where it states "NZ racing has little precedent for these cases " basically underpins the circus this could turn into. Stipe is right in regard to the RIU being open to damages if they dont get it right. Some serious learning curves will be layed down here and lawyers involved will take full advantage of the confusion.

Hardly an ideal comparison Longowner. Your winning the Cup is a long way from blatant illegal activity within Harnessdom. The public have a right to know and the media have a responsibility to present it. Basil is quite correct in his assumptions. It has nevertheless left a foul taste in my mouth much like yourself as an owner( presumably).

I am quite aware of what's happening. I have been involved in both sides of the code for quite a while, and old enough to have seen shenanigans in both. Anyhow , I digress. At least I we will be able to enjoy our horses starting the new season free from interference. ( I hope)

Take the boot off and put it back in the closet. That's old news now. Please entertain us with some story's like others are doing. I'm sure your closet is full of them.

I think it's a bit rich clobbering Harness all the time. When studying at Polytech in the 70,s as a 24 yr old my tutor Barney ,a brilliant guy and like me loved his horses , gave me a tip. Now this guy was in the know and had owned horses and had connections. 1977, Trentham , listed race, Linda Jones, Holy Toledo. He stated it would win, not might , would. Home it rolled at 12,s. Bought a nice K9 tv from that. It is the same across all codes. I can't wait for the nxt TB scandal because It will be our turn to put the boot in.

Sorry galah but I am well aware of its effect on our population. I have many friends in the Police force and their storys are harrowing. I was not making light of the effects just how a story can be blown up out of all proportion. As I said earlier it is a medical problem but also a crime problem , but trying to stop it seems impossible.

Yes nothing since because no one gives a shit. Wooptee do, two idiots smoking P. Half my town smokes it knowing the truth. The mere fact it was "associated with a well known stable " hardly gives it credence as a ground breaking news story. Any way Hunter ,where were you on Jewels day. We gave you an invite , time and meeting place. No show. That wasn't you hidden in that cloud of smoke out the back of the stables area ??

Exactly the same for me in Kilbirnie and Miramar Flagship. No questions asked and I was the same age. Filling out yellow slips for 50cent doubles, listening on the radio, and lining up with other punters feeling like a million bucks and 10 ft tall after picking a winning combo. Simple innocent times. None of those TABs exist in their old location now ,although Miramars hung around untill recently .Like some of the snooker halls I frequented as a teenager, the TAB gave one a sense of entering a den of iniquity with an undercurrent of shady dealings, although from memory those running the outlets were all pretty convivial.

Red Herring perhaps ? Frankly P use is a medical problem and shouldn't clog up court time . Im presuming that they were using it, not supplying so finding the source would be a better use of time . No doubt the stable instructed the Police to interview those involved for the possible source of the drug.

Isn't that two for the team?

Betting turnover on Addington tonight 7th sept
globederby12 replied to Arsenic's topic in Trotting Chat
A very pertinent point. Our syndicate manager has kept in touch with us over this , and our trainer/s are just as shocked as anyone else. But how many owners out there are now questioning their involvement in the Harness Industry and are filthy with the trainers/people involved. I personally would be spitting tacks if I was shelling out my hard earned cash just to see my horses performance compromised for some ill gotten gain without my knowledge. Without owners you dont have horses running. The damage to this side of the Industry could be catastrophic in regard to trust and integrity. Everyone now becomes a suspect in the publics eye. -
There not real surely ?. Mind you Santas not real either but I still like opening his presents.
-
Best thing you have uttered for a while. Your skin must be 1 mtr thick by now.
-
You are working on presuppositions and unsubstantiated evidence with your obviously slanted bias againsted the Harness Industry. How did they hurt you Thomas?. I am an owner in the same industry, and while I am naturally upset at the proceedings I have great confidence in the integrity of most in the Industry.
-
The Lebanese Mafia?. Thomas you are surely taking the piss. You can buy. Most recreational drugs on the street corner if you look hard enough. And administering drugs to horses is as old as the horse itself. No sport is immune from drugs, or cheats for that matter. If one is looking for a perfect world to operate in then you definitely need to start using.
-
Really !!!.A rather sweeping statement. I thought they would feel right at home. On what do you base that judgement. Short memory probably.

Lets get this straight. The RIU acted on information handed to them from an outside source, What Glenda Hughes actually said was they acted on information received. They didn't go looking for anything by themselves, they relied on blabermouths. That makes them bloody toothless Fine after the fact . I agree with Yankiwi,s assessment.

Investigation Shows Racing Integrity System Works
globederby12 replied to Chief Stipe's topic in RIU
Nice Chief, but the RIU can only act when and if it is supplied with information from outside sources. Its got no teeth other than relying on independent investigations on impropriety.
