It's a good story boner. I did the reverse not too long ago in an online auction. Didn't bid expecting the other party to. Nek minute the hammer comes down and neither of us have it! Only consolation it probably saved the expenses on another slow horse.

Suddenly realising the bid had come from just below him, from a person resembling MW, the shock took DC's breath away resulting in a well furrowed brow  Now seated in the next seat behind MW, an earnest heated discussion ensued whereupon DC stuck his finger firmly into his chest  "300k was MY BID" oopsy doopsey
