  1. Lover Boy in race one according to the form guide has had one race on a wet track when it was actually Good and one race on a Good track when it was actually wet.
  2. How do we have no-one in charge capable of putting two and two together when the times obviously do not match the posted track conditions and quickly getting it sorted. I even heard drivers saying the track was very testing in places. There were dozens of drivers reports about horses not handling the track conditions. What conditions? The track was good wasn't it! For the stipes to post a good track in the report tells me a lot about how competent they actually are.
  3. Last year on Boxing Day 2023 the Track was rated as "Slow" and in the Westport Cup they went a time of 4.21 last 800m in 62.0 This year the track was rated as "Good" by the stipes and in the Westport Cup they went a time of 4.26.6 last 800m in 64.8 It was clearly soft or worse! You could see the track cutting up on the fence around the bends and I have seen quicker times on a heavy track. FFS if they can't even get the basics right how do they expect everyone to take them seriously on other stuff.
  4. Track condition today? Good or still a bit of moisture on it like it was on day one.
  5. Just give up Brodie! If they are giving incorrect track conditions, wrong drivers, wrong start type information, wrong times, wrong comments and recently wrong distance as well, chances are all or most of the data is flawed in some way, and if you can not trust the data to make an informed decision may as well give up betting all together.
  6. Absolutely disgraceful they have the track conditions as "Good" on the TAB when the pacers are coming home a last 800m in 67 seconds on a 2:12 mile rate. They get it wrong so often they should just put "All data is fucked" up there instead. Couldn't hit water if they fell out of a boat!
  7. I say bring back a big 20K+ bonus for any horse winning a maiden on the first day, another on the second day and the Reefton Cup. Added a lot of interest to the circuit.
  8. Bigger fields at Westport than in recent years and a lot more first starters.
  9. Well that's good news. We will not see whale again until the middle of January.
  10. Lol good call.... They are so predictable.
  11. They might get the turnover to pay for one of those 100K races if they are lucky.
  12. I didn't think it was possible to get parked out all the way in what was literally a field of five but Mr Trotter proved me wrong.
  13. Yes it was a great drive until he let her back in.
  14. Got a decent Brodie sized multi with the NZ horses Tact McLeod, The Falcon and Cantfindabetterman. Couldn't believe the $3.80 on offer for Tact McLeod. I had it priced at $1.70 in that field.
  15. The annoying part is there is no accountability by the idiots pursuing this from the start. They should be sacked and publicly denounced as the most incompetent bunch of no hopers in the business after the waste of industry resources.
  16. I think I can now say I told you so. Quite easy to see the outcome very early on.
  17. Yes I prefer Matt to the whale. He tells it like it is. Although I do like seeing the look on whales face when one he has a had a big bet on finishes down the track. Its hard to put on a brave cheesy grin when faced with such disappointment lol. The bookies have that face he makes pinned on the wall of their meeting room I heard.
  18. Lighting was terrible. It was dark and then when they turned the spot lights on later was hard to see the TVs. Food was great. You are right sound was terrible. I never heard a word the MC's were saying. They may as well have been not there. On a brighter note the punting was great.
  19. Like I said previously the people making the comments also do greyhounds, gallops and probably also guinea pig racing and god knows what else. They will be a data entry service probably run from overseas. Outsourcing will be a cost driven thing probably and from Entains point of view the less people know about the horses the better. If they did care about it there would be a better service. Just get your info from somewhere else.
  20. Whale, Oconnor and Cross mention half the field every race and when one of the six or seven wins they slap each other on the back for tipping it out LOL.
  21. Yes good on him for all he has achieved in his career but if he just wants improved success on the track he should give up the driving side of the operation. In my opinion he would have double the training wins and double the prizemoney if he wasn't doing the driving.
  22. At this stage it might be more good luck than good management
  23. Auckland trotting club seems to make bad decision after bad decision. Is there ever any good news for them?
  24. You are right but a mark of a good bookie is one who should get the opening prices as near to the closing prices as they can. What you and I are hoping for is some odds setters who struggle with this and get it totally wrong in which case that is where you get the value on your runner if you are lucky. Those races at Addington on Friday night are helped by the fact there are a number of stables who have burnt the bookies in the past. When you have Purdons, Telfers and Dunns in the same race with multiple horses where usually they like to have one of those stable runners sub $2 the recipe is there for a complete mind fuck for a non confident bookie.
  25. Yes as predicted they are trying to keep all horses tight in the market. The 2yo fillies sires stakes already a few moves in the market so they got the prices wrong straight away. Gone Surfin $9.00 on opening LOL. No way the Purdon horse closes at 8.50 I am picking they got that one wrong as well.
