    Seems I forgot he is a Champion and can win from anywhere and the tougher the better. 2:33 FFS on a wet track wide all the way? Got to be the best horse in the world on that performance. He would go close to the world Mile record at the moment on those fast American tracks.

    I quite enjoyed her drive on that one as I had a decent go on Cold Pursuit for a place. Stable plan me thinks.

    Leap To Fame drawn 8 and paying 2.30 Even though he is a Champion leave me out of that. I give him no show from the draw.

    Yes I find some of their opening prices very attractive in the middle market. Like I have stated before you can see they are running scared and just try to keep everything as even or short as they can in those bigger fields. Trouble for them is you can not keep everything short as it skews the true price of almost every runner if you get two or three wrong in a race.

    Shows what a difference a decent driver makes. Simple formulae if you are on the best horse. 1. Sit on the outside 2. Move before others do so you don't get blocked 3. Win untouched. Thanks Carter

    No doubt it adds Aus/NZ interest and gathers exciting fields but there is no way the turnover will pay for it. Good as a viewing spectacle but will it entice people to open their wallets. I am not so sure. I think getting some fields like this during Cup week would be more beneficial especially if the Aussies bought some stablemates over for the supporting races. Turn Cup week into two weeks of high quality fields and have an Australian/NZ drivers championship at the same time.

    Worst part about the races tonight are the pathetically slow dividends appearing after the race. No kidding it is fucking woeful.

    There might be a few BK Dawn place types for you to unload on brodster. Stick to those trotting races tonight for value.

    Would this be the worst case of programming so far this year? I think all it will do is spread the normal amount of money spent at one or two meetings on a Sunday between the three meetings and therefore lower the pools at each venue. It will be interesting to see the tote figures in few weeks and see if this is indeed the case.

    Interesting that one of the main fools in the Openbet negotiations ended up working for the company that owned Openbet not long after the TAB went insolvent. This was possibly the worst deal in the history of deals and it does makes you wonder how it ever got across the line and why Openbet were the best choice when clearly they were not.

    Hit the nail on the head with those comments. I know several punters who have been restricted recently and another couple who got taken off the elite program because the Entain risk department determined they were a risk to keep them on there.

    Thats racing! Same could be said for Paige. If Sheree Tomlinson comes off the fence from four back she wins. Good enough to sit parked and win but also would have had the 1x1. Instead pushing them over the line and hard held with no room.

    I think they should have more grass track racing programmed in the summer down there on the days where there is no grass racing in Canterbury. It gives a varied punter experience and I am convinced it leads to bigger dividends and bigger fields chopping and changing from grass to grit. Also gives those horses with jarring grit track issues somewhere to race and those trainers chasing the grass in Canterbury might venture down south a bit more. House, Negus, Purvis, Jones, Hope might all be tempted. They definitely would if the stakes were a bit higher for the lower grade instead of pouring it all into slot races.

    Lol even more absurd is they opened the maiden at 61s showing the bookies have no idea when setting prices. Already out to 201 which is more its true opening price

    Watching the box seat I noticed another one of my pet peeves. Presenters spouting a load of rubbish without getting their facts right. In the above video at the 27:40 mark Whale claims Max Hill has only had about half a dozen drives, when he has actually had 574 drives and 34 wins. Get your facts right please this is basic stuff!

    Good on Guerin for trying to address this on the box seat but it is not good enough for the stipes to say "Oh sorry I should have documented that on the night" It would be good if the stipes are going to be held to account a bit more as well as I could name 100 occasions where the stipes have let the punters down in the last couple of years.

    Yes the turnover on those races will be terrible. I would take a 14 horse non winners field over a 5 horse 2yo field any time. Was tempted to go to Addington this week but having two 5 horse fields puts me off going as it is a waste of two hours in between those races.
