  1. You will not get a lot of participants saying good job to a failed investigation that cost the industry 10s of millions of dollars all for nothing. The only good thing that came of it was to expose the RIU's hopeless shortcomings as an investigative unit.
  2. Seems I was bang on with this comment from 5 years ago. As well as dragging the sport into disrepute these bastards have tarnished the reputations of quite a few people along the way.
  3. Ran his last 800m in 55.6 wide on the track as well.
  4. Performance of the year! 0.2 outside the NZ Record held by Republican Party on a fast Ashburton track after doing 50m at the start. Could be anything
  5. By my calculations I reckon the show day track was off by around 1.5 seconds every 1000m so for the 3200m on a normal fast Addington track you can take approx 5 seconds off that time. For me the whole two days of Cup and Show day were somewhat tainted by the condition of the track.
  6. Track is racing like it is a Heavy 8 at Addington the times they are running. Must be too much top on the track at the moment.
  7. Ideal Chevron unlucky for the umpteenth time today. Has pushed them over the line in half his runs to date.
  8. Now I think those times on HRNZ in the results are timed from the front at the 800m to the front at the winning post and there is no way they paced that in 55.9 and 26.8 Stride master has Franco indie at 56.94 and I hand timed in 56.9 so you can see the discrepancy. This is a common occurrence and everyone who looks at future form for the horses in this race are being deceived thinking they went a lot faster than they actually did. How can they get it so wrong so often?
  9. So much wrong with the HRNZ site at the moment. I hand time all the races because you can not trust the data at HRNZ and they have a very low accuracy rate on their times they come up with. Example:
  10. The opening odds on Swayzee were insane kept going at it every week until it dropped to $5
  11. Yes impossible to get that return on the tote during a normal day. On Cup Day you might get close if was finishing on the Cup Race.
  12. Where's the fun in that? Just kidding! My goal is not to win this comp, just finish in front of Brodie for the bragging rights. 🤣 Race 1. 5-16 Race 2. 5-6 Race 3. 10-11 Race 4. 14-16 Race 5. 3-9 Race 6. 7-8 Race 7. 2-7 Race 8. 1-8 Race 9. 2-7 Race 10. 4-14 Race 11. 3-13 Race 12. 6-9
  13. ALL CASHED UP(AUS) - hung inwards final turn before trotting roughly in the run home. When questioned regarding the performance Co-trainer/Driver B Hackett confirmed that he had encountered difficulty when attempting to shift wider rounding the home turn but was satisfied with the manner in which the entire finished the race off.
  14. One of the worst drives I have seen from a favourite in a long time. He would do a fair amount of time on the sidelines for that drive in Australia.
  15. Homeless man to Bank: Here is my deposit. Bank to homeless man: How do you intend paying the $500 a week mortgage given you have no job. Homeless man: Shit I hadn't thought about that 😂 FFS
  16. Shit service. TAB might be losing too much money and they are trying to stop the flow 😂 That's just the thing they are trying to increase turnover and you can not even open up the fucking fields to see the form. Muppets the whole lot of them.
  17. WTF! I can't even open the fields at the moment.
  18. He is a bit under rated and gets a few up at nice odds. I like the House runners they quite often fly under the radar but can race well when they want them too.
  19. Are you basing this on Johnny Mac who sat back on the fence then popped out for a late run from the back with 100m to go?
  20. Is this feature working for everybody. It has not been working for me for the last few months now? Pointless having it it there if it does not work!
  21. Was that a dangerous move by Ben Hope barging out like that in Race 9? He just went straight sideways even though there was no gap.
  22. You hit the nail on the head there.
  23. More of a side on drone rather than the overhead straight down view. Better but still prefer the one camera from up above the winning post.
  24. Unless you know they got a price wrong and it is going to cave in, the way they have the prices set you are better off backing outsiders late (because often they can nearly double their price in the last 15mins) and favourites early (because they are keeping all horses safe the favourites are often paying overs the way the percentages work).
  25. I think that's called "the bookies haven't got a clue so we will try try to keep every horse safe." Have been seeing that more and more over the last couple of years. Closing prices miles away from opening again. Good for the punters.
