  1. I doubt we will ever see race by race fixed pools information freely given out. Why? Well several reasons come to mind. 1. They would want to keep a competitive advantage on competition and disclosing this information could reveal certain things they want to keep in house. 2. Disclosing information on fixed odds pools could affect public perception and confidence in their operations. They would not want Brodie kicking up a stink if he was denied a bet and there was $1million dollars in the pool. 3. Giving out details about the amounts wagered in fixed odds pools could potentially impact their risk management strategies. There would many more reasons but these would be the main ones I reckon.
  2. With J Cox you never know what you are going to get. A superb drive or a shocker. Could go either way.
  3. The TAB should never had got into the state it was in. Bloated salaries and top heavy management became the norm and when the NZ Post mob came in it was all downhill from there.
  4. Not much of a positive if Entain will not let you bet on them.
  5. It is not always about who has the best product. Tabcorp probably would have also been the best partner for the upgrade of the TAB website back in 2019 but for reasons unknown the TAB decided to pay an obscene amount of money to SG Digital's OpenBet to give them the contract. Glen Saville the ex TAB betting manager and one of the main instigators of getting SG Digital's OpenBet platform across the line is now working for SG Digital in a nice juicy role in Las Vegas.
  6. Entain is coming up on a year of running the TAB on 1st June 2024. Nothing much has changed. In fact I would argue things have gotten worse for the punter. The website is still shit with breakdowns on the busiest days. We have lost two iconic types of bets in the place six and pick six. Tote pools are getting smaller. On the 1st June 2025 thats when things will really get bad as I think quite a few of the physical TAB's and pub machines will be given their marching orders and betting restrictions will really start to kick in for anyone that is deemed a slight risk to their bottom line. Despite Entain bosses saying things will be rosy in the years to come I can not see it getting any better for the punter.
  7. Clear to everyone except the useless mob at the TAB. It was a no brainer that TABCORP would have been the best pic.
  8. Pandaia was never going to beat Princess Meritaten
  9. I refuse to bet with no information as do a lot of others by the look of the pool sizes today.
  10. Yes it feels like their priorities would be paying exorbitant management salaries rather than getting the basics things right like having a decent website that works 100% all the time.
  11. Wanted to do some research on tomorrows Banks Peninsular fields but! Is it my imagination or is this website having more issues lately?
  12. I want to do 140 combinations for my pick six but now I am going to have to put on 140 separate tickets and its going to cost $140 dollars instead of $14
  13. When they stopped the jackpots it really took a dive. Pools dropped and although it was still good, a 20K pool will not generate the same interest as 250K
  14. I have picked up quite a few pick sixes over the last 30 years the biggest being $75,000 at Nelson back in the days when they still jackpotted. I think the pick six paid $125,000 and I had three 20% units of it from memory. Used to love the pick sixes at Forbury during the winter and got many of those when Blair and Dexter were dominating. Shame they are gone now.
  15. Yes another decision that shows just how out of touch with punters the TAB really are.
  16. You have got no show Brodie. The TAB are not going to satisfy customers who can beat them and lower their yield period. Quite the opposite will happen. They will slowly force you and other like you out of the game through restrictions and bans meanwhile trying to get their greedy little hands on as much money the average losing punter will give them, through offering bonus bets and other temptations.
  17. This year is going to be a big one for us here at the TAB. As we prepare to provide our customers with some of the new things they’ve been asking for, we’ve also had to look at some of the products we currently offer TAB customers. As part of this Pick6 and Place6 bet types will no longer be offered from today, Wednesday 13 March. Another section of punters lost forever by the out of touch TAB 💩
  18. I agree. It is ridiculous with all those same colour teal jackets in the same race. Inconvenient and a real turnoff for punters
  19. Only betting I will be doing this weekend is on the grass track at Banks Peninsular. At least there is a chance of getting a nice return on those bigger fields. As a side note I heard they are doing away from letting you put on pick six and place at TAB outlets from this week. Online only. Only a matter of time before it all goes online Brodie. Then they can really keep tabs on your bets.
  20. I agree not worth betting on those fields
  21. 77 noms Auckland and 203 motukarara.
  22. Wouldn't have thought so unless it was a racing rule they broke and they were done for that. They tried to get a few of the Inca participants while they were going through the courts but basically got told to eff off by the judge when requesting information.
  23. Anyone who resorts to violence deserves to have the book thrown at them IMO... I hope he does time and plenty of it
  24. I'm surprised they didn't fine her $1000 for a less-than-spotless equipment room.
  25. They're too busy knee-deep in videos, scouting for the next 'whipping rule' offender, all to fund their opulent wages in a bloated org that's doing it's best to drag down the harness racing industry. I believe in following the rules but after reading some of the reports have got no time for them at all.
