Because I can double dip on the same trifecta dividend. As an example lets say I get 1 dollar worth of a 1000 trifecta off four different bookmakers then I am getting $4000 but if I tried to get four dollars of the trifecta on the NZ pool that only has 4000 in it the dividend would only be $500 or less I am only going to get $2000 if I am lucky. Probably another one of the reasons Ladbrokes is getting rid of the NZ customers in Aussie.

Yes Ladbrokes and a number of other bookmakers I think do not bet into a tote pool for Trifectas. Even though they use the Victoria dividends as the price there would be no takeout. If you win anything it is off their bottom line.

If they price one up wrong at 5 or 6 a place when it should be 2.50 it lifts the exotics up quite a bit as well.

Opened with $100 turned into 6K profit in about 4 weeks during the grass track racing in Canterbury Probably had 100 to 150 bets over that month around 10% were quinellas and about 90% trifectas. They were quite happy to let me bet but not that happy when I tried to take it out. I am guessing they were hoping I would lose it again but pulled the pin when I withdrew $500 as a test run. Quite easy to make money if you know what you are doing Newmarket just ask Brodie. You just have to be better than the bookmakers as they are not that good at pricing up the markets.

Never had a bet on either win or place. All money won was via quinellas and trifectas. Ladbrokes are a bunch of arrogant wankers going by their emails to me when closing me down.

About a month. As soon as I tried to withdraw some of my winnings I got an email from them saying after a review we have decided your account will be closed. They sent me the funds out of the account after a week of waiting and never answered any of my emails again. Not long after I got banned emails from two of their subsidiaries I was with as well. I think I turned $100 into about $6K and that pissed them off.

Along with Ladbrokes I was also banned from all of their subsidiaries as well.

Will not worry me. I have been banned from Ladbrookes for years now. I didn't fit their business model it seems.

Yes the car was the best place for picking up the coverage in South Canterbury so my brother dad and I would spend half the of the night listening in the car until we jacked up this huge 50ft aerial one day and solved all our problems. Trackside came on a few years later

Yes zero consistency. For mine the biggest improvers run of the day at Ashburton without question was Franco Humbie sitting parked in quick time and winning easily. That was a massive run and a big improvement from what he has been showing in his last 10 runs. No questions there but why not? If any questions needed to asked for improvement it was that race considering the run it received. Anyway I am sick of talking about the inconsistency of the stipes. Nothing will change as they are a law unto themselves.

Yes both you and I know his greenness is why he has been out of the running but the average punter who knows nothing about ability looks at his form and sees 80003 and presumably that is why the stipes are questioning these trainers and drivers. If they took context into account then Good Time Betty would never have been questioned and neither would a ton of others where they have conducted a meaningless integration.

Heartbreak Hotel beaten more than 50 metres last two starts and nearly rank outsider of the field, never placed before but never questioned. If you are looking for more examples I can give you dozens in the last few months but the point is there is no consistency at all on their part and all they do is make themselves look stupid with random inquiries to drivers on horses that have placed for obvious reasons. Have they got a rule book they can use to determine if a question needs to be asked of the trainer or driver? If it is just down to the discretion of the stipes on the day then that is asking for trouble and they leave themselves open for all sorts of integrity/favouritism implications because they never get it right, for example your Brent Barclay argument. They should get a set of guidelines drawn up and make it public. Then they can be held to account and drivers and trainers and punters know where they stand.

GOOD TIME BETTY - when questioned regarding the improved performance driver J Curtin advised the mare had benefited from a good barrier draw and an economical run. Jesus the horse draws 8 and 5 the last two starts and has hard runs from those draws after getting back. Today it draws two and trails all the way and the stipes couldn't work out for themselves why it went much better. FFS what is going on.

I bet mainly on harness but ironically my biggest trifecta returns have been on the gallops. I got just over half the Adventador trifecta when it won the Telegraph and collected over 35K I also got the Trifecta in the same race a few years later with Enzos Lad and collected nearly 20k off that race. Had dozens of 5K + collects on harness trifectas but you are right the pools do not support big dividends unless it is Cup week.

The bookmakers will have more idea than the people doing the form comments. There is a bit more at stake for the bookies with thousands of dollars at risk
