  1. Yes not many gallopers surprisingly, considering how rough it was. Saw a few drivers leaving their seats going over it.
  2. The crossing at Riverton looks like a death trap for trotters galloping. Good luck getting over that. It is a lottery!
  3. He was never going to be a chance today with all the speed inside him. Made a pretty penny backing against him
  4. Yes thinking about buying a slow donkey off gavelhouse for $500 that has had 100 starts for nothing and sending it to Grimson so it can run a 1:51 and possibly win a miracle mile
  5. No good bringing them out early if you can't get on.
  6. Bookies would have been running for cover if that one had just run a place for my multis. Easy day on the punt and still can't believe they gave 3.50 for Tokyo Rose.
  7. Had the gap 50m sooner but decided to wait until he only had 50m left to wind up to full speed. Stiff again.
  8. They do. Turn over more than 120K a year on tote and they will give you a rebate on tote betting. The more you turn over the higher the rebate which on top of the profit is a good chunk of change if you are good enough.
  9. R3.......ALTA SHOWGIRL is the best horse in the race and with JD driving in an average field, should win. Miley Ace a good place bet from the draw I had a go on that. R6.....MIDFREW LUCRE ran very nicely on the first day. Bob takes over. Should go very close. Watch That Man better draw with driver change I had a go on that. R9......JACCKA OPA drawn ice. Just getting warmed up on Friday. Can win. Tokyo Rose looks the best in that race for me thought it might have been shorter than 3.80 R10.....MOSSDALE BEN is my bet of the meeting. The distance suits and he just wins. Dashing Major I like for a place in that and over the odds at $4.50
  10. Brodie type punters are the easiest for the TAB to identify and restrict. Putting $1000 - $3000 bets on stands out like dogs balls. Plus if you are making a profit then that comes straight off the bottom line of the fixed odds yield. You don't have to be a rocket scientist to see those types of punters are what Entain and all other bookmakers in the world are trying to get off their books.
  11. Fixed odds exotics algorithm takes the value out of the fixed exotics especially trifectas and first fours. Any payout under 1000 on fixed tri and f4 is normally 15% - 30% less than tote barring the odd exception.
  12. Incorrect. There is value in the exotic bets if you know how to extract it!
  13. I don't rate her at all. Parked out is her favourite position and her second favourite thing is getting back and running home with no room.
  14. Agreed Agreed and hit the nail on the head.
  15. Terrible drive. You have to wonder why they keep putting her on.
  16. It is in their best interest to do so. They can keep track of sneaky punters who try to win more than they should.
  17. Mmm not really want the Entain shareholders want to hear I would suspect. From a punters viewpoint it sounds great.
  18. Trackside is going downhill fast. The first day at Nelson you couldn't even see the 20m horses at the start on some races and in the straight horses out wide or near the back missing from the coverage. Complete bunch of no hopers giving the camera guys instructions. Zoom out and let us see our horses we have backed you morons.
  19. Lovely bit of mile racing for Brodie on Sunday 😍
  20. Just buy the horses Brodie says are not that good and you would make a fortune. Running out of fingers to count them all now 🤣
  21. Should be the leader in the race on a leaders bias track. Wouldn't have to improve much to win this. Fergalicious looks the obvious danger in the trail. Old Oak Emma and Robbie Close might have the speed to cross early.
  22. It might be too late for North Island harness but only chance is set up a grass track just outside Auckland. I might have a bet on a big grass track field but I am with Brodie on the small fields. Hard to get excited about them and not that enjoyable for punting.
  23. Makes sense to me. I would be gobsmacked if they actually got something right
  24. Gemma is too honest and hasn't fully grasped that the stewards take almost any excuse going hook line and sinker. The Dexter Dunns and Blair Oranges would have said "I was having trouble steering him and thought he might break if I pushed him" Stewards Reply: Drivers explanation was noted and the driver was warned to make more effort next time in that situation
  25. You can. I take several trips a year and via some crafty software it is quite easy to fool the TAB into thinking I am still at home. They can not stop it and never will. Their only consolation is half the punters do not know how to beat the Geo blocking when overseas.
