As long as it looks good while their around they don't care , J Allan and TAB website , he thinks he walked away and left a better place , people like him never look back to see the damage they have left behind , better to keep living in their own little " Nirvana " .
-
It may well become nirvana but , i cannot see how it is sustainable , horse numbers wise along with costs , so nirvana might not be a long term life .

What i don't understand is how one club racing at this level is going to be good for the whole industry , when the rest are running so far behind in stakes . Is the ARC going to expect a bigger slice of turnovers on their meetings to offset the higher stakes . If this does come to fruition who in their right mind has a horse in training or a share in one that is racing in the CD or the SI , christ even Pitman will be looking to relocate . Yet again they don't see that the industry has to take an holistic approach , no point in NZ racing having a racing club called Winx and the rest R65's .

Your going to provide some sort of dictionary with those words , they wouldn't have a clue what your talking about other wise .

Are there signs of cracks in the Cambridge AWT training ranks?
nomates replied to Chief Stipe's topic in Galloping Chat
Exactly , not just on the A/W's either , if you were making profit on races then surely you would put on as many races as possible , horse numbers allowing . They are trying to manage horses into the following weeks races so they don't come up short , not their job , work with what is in front of them there and now , they are not nearly as smart as they think they are . -
Are there signs of cracks in the Cambridge AWT training ranks?

And there is the rub , it's was bad enough for owners when they thought going in most cases to 14 horse limits , but now with the introduction of the greyhound tracks the starting limits get smaller , sweet then put on extra races for the owners that want to run . The other interesting thing about the limits is that it limits betting , it's always been accepted that the more runners in a race the bigger the turnover on each race . But yea i can see it , the A/W's are going to be the saviours of NZ racing . But to some i'm just a naysayer . -
Are there signs of cracks in the Cambridge AWT training ranks?

So we have reached the starting point for A/W racing in NZ , nom's are out for Cambridge next Wednesday and they are good , so that is our starting point , will be interesting to see how numbers stack up every fortnight as the season proceeds . Along with feedback on the surface . But , there is always a but , owners and trainers are supporting the meeting , but NZTR as usual showing no reciprocation , could well split 3 of the mdns but are only going to split 1 . As usual only one side of the racing equation in NZ is standing up , only to be chopped off at the knees again by lily livered , gutless leadership . Support your F@#king owners you wimps , tell them if numbers support it split the other races . -
I was wondering when you would turn up , was hoping you would be on earlier so you could help me with the form . Have to say tho , first meeting there with a wet track , only a S9 to , and they were heading out wide from first flat race , doesn't bode well for the rest of the winter . And on top of that , how long till someone gets put over the outside rail with all the jockeying for the wide strip .

Geez he beat some top , top horses , right up there the greats of Aus racehorses , thanks for the video , still remember watching Dandy Andy beating him and sitting there stunned , and i was a Bonecrusher fan .

One of the reasons i love a front runner , he was one of the best ever .

No she stayed in Foxton , but it was Waller and Weller in the book , still there pottering around and helps Matt Dixon , the relationship with Bosma broke down and he moved north .
-
Trained in partnership with Heather Weller when he went to Sydney , don't remember that he trained for long here on his own or in partnership , don't remember how many wins they had , which suggests not too many . H Weller was the initial trainer for Go Racing , lasted about 2/3 years i think .

Good to see you covered your bases there with " NZ Champion " .

This is clearly not relevant for our industry leaders , they have a plan , a cunning plan , and no amount of rational information will deviate them from their chosen path . They have told us they know what they are doing and in them we must trust . I wonder just how many regular radio trackside radio listners just turned the dial and stopped betting .

You wont be alone , i want to know who says " hey guys this is what we are going to do today , send the punters on a goose chase trying to watch the races " , whoever it is he doesn't bet on horses .
-
Do these guys have a clue , They have been showing Warnambool on T1 all afternoon then when it comes to the Grand Annual Steeplechase they switch it to T2 , that is dumb enough , but as soon as they pass the post they cut to a Townsville race and your like what !! then they put up a line saying that the post race is on T1 , what !! what the fuck are they doing , do they have any clues . Why all the switching around , what do they think everybody is doing , what if you have taped to watch later , they could give me a mental health condition . Just get consistent , punters love consistancy , this just shows me , yet again , how out of touch they are with their product and client base .

Business Case - CJC Riccarton All Weather Track - here it is!
nomates replied to Chief Stipe's topic in Galloping Chat
NZTR have an update around the Riccarton A/W track along with an airial photo , got me thinking if Palmy build a track that wide that far inside main track it's going to have a 200 mtr straight with total circumfrance around 1200/1300 mts . Has anyone seen a plan for what they intend to build there ? Might be able to xfer the Manawatu trots and greys to Awapuni . -
Back to original topic but i see the amatuer race tomorrow is down to 5 , completely useless exercise . Along with a 4 horse 20k steeplechase at Te Rapa on Saturday . We see horses miss starts because they wont split races to save 10k but they are happy to bleed 30k so a very small group can have a run , these are the discrepancies that make very little sense to me .
-
Well for me the 2 big indicators will be , how the A/W's perform turnover wise along with numbers racing , if this is a flop i think they shit their pants because they are hanging so much on them , if Cambridge can't make them work with the numbers they have on call then there is no hope for the CD and SI tracks . And then the stakes they put out with the new season programmes , calender is out without a great deal of innovation but it will all be about the money , no change then they have been telling porkies or they are stockpiling at the expense of industry participants . We are now at the pointy end of all the debate , very very interesting 3/4 months ahead .
