  1. I side with Brodie and Whiplash on this. Drivers got fined for hitting the sulky shaft and dust sheet FFS!
  2. Sentencing on Thursday for contempt of court charge. Going for a discharge without conviction. If he gets that it will make a mockery of the law given his track record.
  3. GRP 1 Wins from 1,400 to 2,500.
  4. How good is she? WOW - what a tough win!
  5. That isn't the point. According to the rules horse's who race on a Saturday are supposedly worth more than those who race during the week. It is inconsistent and is giving the finger to those racing horse's.
  6. But you are making an assumption that the race next week will be easier when it very well may not be. Unless of course your are nominating outside the horse's class which is silly anyway as our handicapping system will cane you.
  7. The point is Bid that it is a Saturday race and yet again NZTR have manipulated the Stakes setup. If they are intent on tiered stakes why the hell flip flop when it suits? That's a nonsense as well. It makes the assumption that if a race is worth more than the class of horse is better! It is irrelevant when it comes to handicapping a horse!!!! What's more is sends the wrong message to punters. "Oh don't bet on Tuesday races at Awapuni they are crap horses - Saturday races at Awapuni are better class!" What a nonsense.
  8. I turn trackside audio off and listen to Radio 2ky from Australia. Don't get any local audio but great listening to knowledgeable racing people talking about the ozzie gallops.
  9. Post of the new season. Well done.
  10. Ease up that is a bit of stretch in assumptions!!
  11. That doesn't explain "Shelton".....
  12. It's arrived in Tokoroa. 1 Confirmed, 1 probable and 5 with symptoms. Geez did you read where the source family went to church on Sunday with symptoms....300 in the congregation!
  13. No one. However you are then best to vote for a party that will be good for the economy. That narrows your options to National and Act.
  14. Probably only Winnie but I think he won't make it back in and if he did he may not be so keen to throw money around again aside from the fact that it is all gone!
  15. Sorry but that doesn't explain something that is basic 101 pandemic management. You have people in isolation who you finally decided to test (remember they WEREN'T tested until we go out of Level-14) but you don't test the people looking after them who everyday walk across the border and go home. NOT ROCKET SCIENCE IS IT? FFS a registered sex worker has to get tested for diseases frequently!
  16. Bloody f'ing muppets!!!!! They weren't regularly testing staff working at quarantine and isolation facilities! How damn stupid is that! Makes sense of the early warnings we were getting - no doubt one of the bureaucratic reviews found a HOLE in the system! Apparently they didn't test because some staff refused!!!!! FFS! Team of 5 million - BULLSHIT!
  17. Can you imagine what value Kelvin Davis will add at the Cabinet meeting tomorrow?
  18. This is a good read. I didn't realise that the New Lynn Countdown was stormed yesterday by shoppers ripping off the front doors! https://www.aier.org/article/authoritarianism-in-auckland/
  19. If many of the trainers are in the provinces won't they have to move to Riccarton to make the AWT pay its way? Or will they need more and more funding from Government?
  20. The law is about "money laundering" - I guess that's why it is in the Act's name. So it is about large amounts of cash supposedly gained through illegal activities being put through systems to legitimise it. The TAB just isn't a very good mechanism for doing that. At best all you can expect is to get 17% of your money back washed. Na - the TAB are using to the AML to justify other things - what they are who knows.
  21. Those metrics appear to have nothing to do with closing down tracks. Same with Thoroughbred tracks. Seems more who you know than your performance. Ask Flash why he has all the answers.
  22. Yeah and who started that bullshit fest? None other than the RIU who have not yet succeeded in any case proving there was race fixing! They can't have been very good punters because they would have been banned.
  23. I listen to 2ky Australia. Doesn't do the local races but ....
  24. You are correct. There is no AML legal justification for it. The codes have let RITA/NZRB/TAB get away with this incompetency.
  25. Sorry but how does the sensationalism affect the integrity of Harness racing? Most sane people would see that it is no different to the rest of society. Only the dumbest would relate that to integrity of the punting product. The RIU driven INCA witch hunt damaged the integrity of the sport. So far that has been all smoke and no fire. But will we see those individuals incompetency dealt to for the benefit of the "integrity" of the sport?
