  1. Rubbish 2 at Pukekohe on Sunday 2 at Otaki 14/4 2 at Matamata 20/4 1 at Hawera 27/4 plus a hurdle 2 at Rotorua 29/4
  2. What's that got to do with it. She then took a left turn to go down to the fence and ended up in a situation where she was dictated to. She made the call to angle to the fence.
  3. What are you talking about? Allpress drew three from the outside, one outside Billy Pinn and CHOSE to go across to the fence and end up second last whilst Billy Pinn settled outside her. At the 1200m Pinn could see Allpress had horses in front of her so improved forward to sit outside the leader whilst Allpress ends up still last on the fence. At the 600m he drives Posh Porotene to the lead and goes for home knowing if he can get a break on Posh Porotene Allpress would be flat to catch them. Allpress reamians stuck on the fence in last place and was still last turning in before finally getting some room to come between runners over the final 250m and finishes strongly to grab second on the $1.90 favourite some three lengths adrift of Pinn. Game, set and match to Billy Pinn. Six love, six love and six love with no points to Allpress.
  4. Just catching up on the replays from Waverley on Friday. Billy Pinn certainly gave Lisa Allpress a lesson in riding in R7 that's for sure!!
  5. With no relegation under the current rules I would be saying to my jockey re the whip in a big race. If you think you can win go for it and I will pay any fine etc you get.
  6. M Cameron (LICKETY SPLIT) - Admitted a charge of using the whip in three consecutive strides followed by a further four consecutive strides after a pause of one stride on his mount LICKETY SPLIT inside the 100 metres. After considering submissions the Adjudicative Committee suspended M Cameron’s licence to ride in races from the conclusion of racing on Saturday 26 March up to and including racing on Saturday 9 April, 8 national riding days and imposed a fine of $3,500 Margin a nose!
  7. Well Colgan is on the injured list on NZTR website, McNab is still listed for his rides tomorrow. Opie tested positive today.
  8. Well the winner came along the inside in the last. Have to say it was a terrible ride by Colgan in the Derby. (and no I didn't have a bet).
  9. isnt Bernard in Aussie?
  10. The training tracks have re-positioned and the earthworks have commenced from the crossing to the 900m. You need to get out more.
  11. Firm on top and rain made it slippery.
  12. 638(3)(g) Subject to the other requirements this Rule 638(3), in a Flat Race or trial (including jump-outs and/or tests for certification purposes), a Rider must not: strike a horse with a whip in consecutive strides at any stage of the race. Didn't Opie get a suspension for doing so at Ellerslie
  13. Have the whip rules been changed?? Just looking at Chris Dell's use of the whip in the final stages of R8 at Awapuni yesterday on Zola Express. Nothing at all in the Stewards Report.
  14. Will be stupid putting the 3yo Oaks Prelude at Tauherekikau on Monday. Eleven of the thirteen runners are from the Waikato and would have had a nine hour float trip today down to New Plymouth and back. Then on Monday they would have to travel to Tauherenikau and back which is a lot further. There will be nothing left of them heading towards the NZ Oaks at Wellington in March.
  15. The problem at Matamata was man made..... sand slitting and filling holes up with sand. I see now that the meeting scheduled for 9th February has been transferred all the way to Ruakaka. wtf!! Whats wrong with Rotorua?
  16. There is one way to make sure the rider's adhere to the current whip rules. Allow a protest to be actioned by the runner up if their rider rode under the rules. Roch 'N' Horses connections were unable to lodge a protest because the rules didn't allow it. Overall I disagree with all the namby pamby whip rules. Flagrant flogging of a horse fair enough fine and suspend them but five times before the 100m and then only every second stride from there on is just rubbish.
  17. Dont know but the Northern stable he was with has had 40 starters for no wins this season. 9 runners at Counties on Monday.
  18. Troy Harris at Hastings on Saturday. Three separate races charged re the whip rules. T Harris (SOLID IMPACT) – Admitted a charge in that he struck his mount SOLID IMPACT six times prior to the 100 metres with the matter being adjourned until tomorrow’s race meeting at Rotorua. T Harris (PALAMOS) – Admitted a charge in that he struck his mount PALAMOS six times prior to the 100 metres with the matter being adjourned until tomorrow’s race meeting at Rotorua T Harris (PRISE DE FER) - Admitted a charge in that he struck his mount PRISE DE FER six times prior to the 100 metres with the matter being adjourned until tomorrow race meeting at Rotorua Suspensions: Race 8 Hawke’s Bay Racing Inc – Saturday, 16 October 2021 T Harris PRISE DE FER Excessive use of the whip [Rule 638(3)(g)(i)] Suspended 18-24/10 inclusive, 5 days and fined as below Fines: Race 3,4, 8 Hawke’s Bay Racing Inc – Saturday, 16 October 2021 T Harris SOLID IMPACT, PALAMOS, PRISE DE FER Excessive use of the whip [Rule 638(3)(g)(i)] $750
  19. I am pretty sure that all the steeplechase fences at Te Aroha are live fences and there was only one fall in the two steeplechase races which was Lacustre.
  20. Ellerslie Hill is definitely to be sold.
  21. Did you notice that the three G1 races at Ellerslie today all the winners wore blinkers. Seven of the ten winners at Ellerslie wore blinkers with another wearing side winkers. Did you see what the difference was when Finest Wine destroyed them at Trentham today. In case you didn't blinkers on for the first time.
  22. Who cares!! We got the money today that's all that matters. It was mentioned after the race at Hastings that she needed ground and blinkers would help.
  23. Oh Dear Rapid Falls First time with blinkers on having first start over ground. Beautiful
  24. SPIRIT OF BAZ (W Pinn) – When questioned regarding the improved performance co-trainer A Forsman advised that the filly had benefitted from the addition of blinkers. Who would have guessed!!
