Netflix is no sub for BOAY Karrots , but if you give in to the temptation then be sure to catch HOLIDATE , such a funny show , i couldn't stop laughing all the way through . brilliant. Well its just a Multi , not actual races nominated like a quaddie or anything. Just pick your own races on Sportsbet or similar bookie. You can take multis with anything combined like footy, races , etc...
-
hahaha should be fine Chief. Brodster isn't getting anything on, so the betting pools will hold up fine !!
-
Well Brodster is still upset with the government and not getting a bet on , and no racing etc. Time to bet a dollar then Karrots ? for some entertainment , there are some beaut NZ bred horses in today at Albion Park QLD, where we can still keep racing. Try a PICK 5 with races 2-6 inclusive so you are a winner before dinner !!!!!!!!!!!!! Young Pete in the first leg, Sabrage a handy claimer in the 2nd leg, IL Pirata for the gorgeous Brittany after the narrow 2nd to DOUG on Sat night, can surely win this if she drives properly leg 3, and then 2 x Bettor Delight's to bring home the last 2 legs !!!!!!! you know how good they are. 5 kiwis at 220-1 ! go close possibly here they are ........ ings$227.63 3. Melton Beach Nz (3) @ 1.79 Win Pending Albion Park • Race 2 3. Sabrage Nz (3) @ 1.69 Win Pending Albion Park • Race 3 12. Il Pirata Nz (30) @ 5.77 Win Pending Albion Park • Race 4 6. Lets Hustle Nz (6) @ 3.12 Win Pending Albion Park • Race 5 4. A Whole Lotta Rosie Nz (4) @ 4.18 Win Pending

That is quite astounding really. The Iceman AGH surely can train something special alright. I did notice on Jewels day DOUBLE DELIGHT had the 1/2 Hopples on . a rare piece of gear to keep trotters from over-reaching in front. She probably thinks she is Pacing ??? lol.... BTW , the horse you liked from QLD Derby (that Nzer American Dealer won) ,by Captain treacherous, named CAPTAIN CRUSADER , has hung around town this month and picked up 2 Very easy wins. You are good judge.!! But you wouldn't get rich though sadly, as only paid $1.20 both times He's a nice horse. 3rd in APG Final too. maybe he can win the Vic Derby? kiwi's won't be there in OCT if you guys banned, locked up, etc ?
-
Geez the posting is going well today lol.. cold miserable day in NZ today I take it .some cold posts. No racing will do that to ya . I'm gunna try and win that and bring the glory home . Not banned yet like Brodster. Did have 4 of last 5 posts 'Removed' from Racenet Oz though. The fuckers just can't handle the truth about Berry's ride that near killed Avdulla, nor anything about the Fuckwits decisions to ban leading jockeys for having a party.
-
Their colleagues should help out. A few more of the Vic jocks should have a big house party . Send the fine bill to the VRC. and sit out all on strike. The NSW jocks still in lockdown won't be able to come down. And then they can see what a STUPID PENALTY they have given the jocks. place gone mad.

PINK GALAHS would of destroyed this field Davis. She is a 2 or 3 time Group 1 winner against the boys even. SLEEPEE been racing very well with 5 wins from 9 starts this year , so she thoroughly deserved this Group 3. On a side note , the 'Bettor's Delight' trotter (An extremely unusual breeding abnomily) in the race result posted above EMERALD STRIDE , who ran 2nd in the three year old Breeders Crown , but hasn't fired a shot this year. Time to throw the hopples on her I reckon, give a go at pacing. Trotting ranks are 'light-on' when you have a Bettor's Delight in there ? lol.....
-
I don't get it really. How is this party so different to anyone else's that such a severe penalty is dished out. You pay the fine . Isn't that the penalty ? Lose your job for months is Stupidity. These listed below probably haven't lost their work for 3 months. Don't even get named. Just pay the penalty??? The lady could be in any government office , or official bearing occupation, who know's ??? Can't understand why the jocks are getting such a huge penalty.??? here's a snippet of some infringements.............. A Melbourne woman who hosted a five-year-old birthday party is among the 192 people fined for breaching Victoria’s coronavirus restrictions. Police found 12 adults and eight children when they went to a house in the Latrobe area in the state’s east. The woman who organised the party was handed a $1,652 fine.

No . old trainers are the mainstay ! they provide the drives for the young horsemen/women. works fine. My logic just means the racing continues WITHOUT the loss of participants. Young people in stables leaving to do something else. How long will someone last like say ,Tony Cameron last? Getting a couple of stable Herlihy drives in the bush , but seriously ? Flat out to get a drive in a feature race, let alone win one. and thats a good driver in a good stable. plenty of mug ones around just give up and walk away. I found leave the country a good option. By having drives available for young people they can make a living out of it. They would need 'X' amount of drives per week to do this. to earn the money you need for cost of living these days.
-
Yes that is it exactly.!! spot on. Old drivers driving for those decades , has , and is having , a DRAMAtic effect on new driver numbers coming through. John Mcmullen , a fabulous QLD driver , gave up in his 40's as says the young drivers need 5 drives per meeting if possible to get to top class !!!!!. He provided that for nephew Nathan Dawson , as well as his 4 children, so they gained the experience and now do driving in all the races virtually. 30-40 years ago I am aware there was a lot of trotting folk 'having fun' and 'employed' in the industry. Were working for very little money $100week for some. You can't do that this century . Training fees were smaller !! There was 'Poorer owners' that could race a horse! regular working people, you could miss out in a race, put a 'learner' driver on , and NOT cost the owner an arm and a leg. Staff are paid HEAPS more these days. It's NOT as much fun for owners (business logistics), Trainers are under Pressure every race start to get a result , so they put the Old 'good' drivers on to get that result (e.g like May or drive themselves still like DeFilippe , etc, etc)
-
Why should they stop ? Well it's So you Don't have the current Predicament in NZ Harness racing. Drying up of participants ?? I think all the 'aged' drivers NZ are very able, and yes No Doubt enjoy what they do ?...... But they take a HUGE chunk of the NZ race drives over decades. Why would a young person carry on in the game waiting for race drives , and only get one, two or three per week?. You'd just go and do something else. That is Very unfortunately the effect that has happened there in NZ ....... Many threads on BOAY discussed the 'Lack of Juniors' and new drivers . It's a 'huge' problem going forward. average driver age in Brisbane would be in their 20's . Grant D at 50, but will chuck it in when 4 kids get to race driving age. South Island not quite so bad as a few like John M, Samantha, Sheree, Jessica, Sarah O are really getting drives and improving dramatically. and there's some great regional locations (meetings) to improve your skills with a number of drives. Their 'experience levels' nice and high now, and therefore , they are very Tactically able. North Island is stuck with old race drivers IcemanWizardmanMagicmanChiefmanSuperman Stormo,Mango,Ballo, etc and so bugger all left for Junior man nor woman.*** Is Zac B the only youthful regular feature race driver ??
-
I think age doesn't make any difference. Its just whether they are up to it tactically Definitely it makes a difference..... Experience is the key. Youngsters (junior drivers) in NZ probably have to drive to 'Instruction' as much as possible from the 2-3 drives they get any week (unless you're Dexter) so hardly have a CHANCE At ALL to improve tactically . and Nz harness racing is suffering for it. Lack of many Juniors. The drives they do get , I'd wager they are dictated the 'Old trainers' idea of the race tactics to follow? Why would someone like Ricky May still go round for example?. He nearly died . time to give someone else a go possibly? how much signs do you need you would think. McKendry and Mangos and Stormont etc,etc . where's the juniors? sure all the old boys have tactical efficientcy . (I do think it's funny that you might think Grant Dixon and Daryl Graham not great tactically in QLD, after 1000's upon 1000's of drives and wins ,heheheh but that's ok , do find it hard to agree with that but whatever) Australian racing is DOMINATED by the the BARRIER draw too. Tactics are almost always decided on by where the horses draw. drivers converse and know who is going to lead before they go off *usually.* Whittaker , a junior from NZ , had a drive or 2 at Brisbane recently, and didn't understand that, and looked a complete goose. (Took on the fav who had drawn one for the lead, and then ran last)
-
Actually Brittany did win a race last night at good odds too. hahahah Poor old Daryl you say shouldn't be driving?, heheheh...one of the old boys now at 56 odd lol.... , same age as Mark Purdon, and also John McMullen roughly (father of the 4 current McMullen's Race driving , who win hundreds of races every year.. the youngest only just turned 20 . TALEAH Both John McMullen and Daryl Graham got very bad knee injuries from race crashes. John definitely leaves it up to the kids past decade. Grant Dixon getting old at 50 too !!! very rare for drivers that old in Brisbane to go round regularly. It's a YOUNG persons go here , race driving . Daryl a rarity . Had a year out with cobalt DQ recently too. They drive to Way Too far an Old Age in NZ !!!!?? has stopped the next generation taking over altogether . Here's TALEAH McMULLEN driving stats at just turning 20 years old , no one in NZ anywhere near this....... Age - 19. Performance 2261 starts for 243 wins 515 placings as at 8 Feb 2021. The youngest of the McMullen clan, Taleah has well and truly stepped out of her older siblings (Pete, Narissa and Danni-elle) shadow driving 140 winners in the 19/20 season. Winner of the 2019 Qld Young Achiever of the year award her biggest win to date was piloting Annika Magic to victory in the 2019 Fleur De Lil Ladyship Stakes.

Like a Game of Monopoly ! Well have been tinkering with my NZ Monopoly Board !!! (if unfamiliar with the game, it is all about assembling wealth through investment in the better properties and Infrastructure) The richer properties do well the poorer ones sadly don't get invested in as much ............ I'm re-naming some lol..
-
DOUG proving to be ahead and better than the rest on this occasion, as per boay maybe lol..... (with the aid of yet another fantastic Pete McMullen drive) Great Bunch of 4 ex-pat kiwi Trotters all up for the FIRST 4 there !! Orlando Jolt running very close 4th for Brittany Graham's dad Daryl Graham. The young lady running second there , is no other than the Sky racing and track presenter BRITTANY GRAHAM , on the trotter out wide ,No 4 the old South Islander 'IL PIRATA.' Another one for the 'Hot ' list Karrots ?
-
Well just a battling third sadly, (after the cushy 1-1 sit throughout) for the CROC !! returning from a spell. One of the Bettor's Delight kiwi's was a late scratching , the other one 'My Bettor Lady" (who won 2 in NZ for Andrew Stuart) led and won very easily for Kate Gath. Had to sub in another ex-kiwi the Art Major horse 'Sheffield Sparky' to still get the trifecta. then a meezly $30 div??? . so even with 100ew on the croc, and 2 x trifecta collect, still managed to lose on the race...... So as Steve Irwin would say "Crikey Gamma !, you completely f'ked that up mate ! we'll be as hungry as these bloody croc's , unless you can actually tip a winner ! "lol........ RIP... Steve Irwin (1962-2006) A true Australian legend.
-
I think all raced kiwi horses are potentially Menangle level , because they are trained to run 'distance', much more so than Australian trainers train their horses. (2400-3200m) Menangle suits 'stayers' who can hold speed for an extended period, thus it very much suits 'distance' horses, even though the races are generally over a mile. Hezacrocwatcher running 1.58 several times at Cambridge winning and placing there 6 times last summer, ,He is undefeated in Australia in 3 starts now, running 1.56 at both Maryborough and Melton , therefore would run better than 1.54 Easily at Menangle on the big mile track. probably near 1.52.5 . He's pretty good.
-
Steve Irwin , the amazing QLD crocodile Hunter, would of been All Over this bloke in Race 8 at Ballarat tonight . HEZACROCWATCHER !! A terrific horse and great odds tonight. If old mate Steve was around , I would point out the 2 Bettor's Delight ex-pat kiwis off the Front row as being too hard to beat. Steve would say "Crikey ! looks like a kiwi trifecta !! get on it then. Although this 'Croc' is a reeeaaall beauty!! . and will have them for dinner !!!"
-
No chance of a 'Getaway' for you at the moment though mate ? I just had a few days at the Gold Coast before we get locked down ultimately in Queensland. very sad there on GC for all the tourist places. Is like a Ghost town now. Only a matter of time before hits QLD as they forgot about the hundreds of Interstate truck drivers. Two were cruising around in QLD while covid positive this week lol. wonder if they will be thrown out of trucks at the border from now on? , and the cabin 'Fumagated' and a 'Clean' driver put in the seat on QLD side of border ?? hahahaha
-
Brodster Needs the head gear too, so no vaccination is needed. Hang on. All good !! someone has fixed him up already !
-
One start in NZ Chief for trotter DOUG at Rangiora May 2019 for 6th. 10 wins from 38 Aus starts since. He's a bit of a rogue , probably owned in NZ by a Boay poster who looked for Inspiration to name him.
-
I find it hard to fault any of them. they do get plenty of drives every week to keep the skills honed. Pete Mcmullen and his three sisters are exceptionally gifted too. With the fields being smaller than NZ ones ,it is WAY EASIER to get involved in the finish . Today at Redcliffe just 9 runners every race on 10 race card. EVERYONE gets a chance to win. Much harder in NZ with those big fields !! those grass tracks huge fields are a nightmare lol..... I always had the opinion in the 12 horse NZ fields you had 23 RIVALS !!! you had to beat /out-point /out manouver the opposing 11 drivers. All them Planning to beat you home !!! THEN you had to factor in what their horses were doing. Some leading/ some stopping in front of you/ some carting you up/ some pushing you wide. You always had to have some idea of their capabilities. 11 horses trying to beat you each race too . AND your Own horse too is your main rival ??!!! Will it go when you want it too. ? Can I out-think this horse ?? That is the one trying to beat you the most , believe it or Not. The one you as driver are responsible for making a winning or losing move during the race??? The driver has to be very a-tuned to what his own drive can do , sprint from the quarter?/ burn the gate and have something left?/ keep plugging on when you need it too at the end? you ask endless questions of it . TWENTY THREE is a LOT of RIVALS in one race !!!!! it's bloody hard to win.
-
You'll be short of getting a winner then Mr Galah ? as no racing in NZ on I believe?. Chief could well be on a Albion Park Brisbane winner this week ????? I have a couple of 'Special's' for him. there's a couple in Saturday night with his 'name written All over them' lol.............. "DOUG" in the trot (race9 No. 7) is an old NZer with all the tricks from these lousy standing starts . If he trots away, he Wins !! Pete has shoved the missus on the horse he trains off the backmark 40m . DOUG is quite erratic, and manners need a bit of honing, just a feeling he will do it this week. "ONYA DOUG" (race 6 No.2 ) I backed last week , and he stomped home late in stronger field. Good draw now at 2? and weak field too. I think he wins this time. Chief will be saying ONYA Gammalite after that lol....... Think they both will be 8-1 ish odds so i'm in for a $10 double and lucky $666 dollars collect after All going well. Go Doug ! (and Go mighty Brisbane Lions too in a AFL final this week)

Well a great moment for harness racing would be for 2010 when Blackie defeated the kiwi Monkey King at Menangle . "BLACKS A FAKE becomes first horse ever to win the Interdominion Grand Final on 4 occasions, between NZ and Oz, for the illustrious Natalie Rasmussen !!" thanks for the compliment for 2021 Karrots re. daughter Fio (now with huge pay rise and begins working new job at Supreme court next month for the judges ) an amazing dream for us .......... BUT in needing a more equine flavoured theme for your time-line you need to change it to going with that Amazing Dream maybe?? .......................... and Copy That too. 2021 year of the AMAZING DREAM (well Auckland Cup was a few hours to midnight New Years Eve, but who's picky?? lol) and COPY THAT as well, both 'Cleaning up Big Group races' on both sides of the Tasman. ! -
It's always Hopples Brodster !!!! you buy a set of hopples for Pacers. Anyone hobbling along is generally a bit lame.
